Letter From The Owner Dear Prospective Purchaser,
Welcome to 6410 Glenbard Road! Our family has spent 31 years maturing in this home. There are many things you will like about this house. The completely remodeled kitchen provides plenty of space for cooking and sharing meals with our family. The kitchen opens to a nice size family room where our family watches TV, plays games, and sits by the cozy fireplace.
In warm weather we walk out the sliding doors onto a screened-in sunroom where we enjoy eating our meals & watching birds and wildlife in the comfort of our private treed lot. The deck, patio and yard provided many opportunities for birthday, graduation, family, and neighborhood gatherings. In winter, the backyard hill allowed the children great sledding experiences.
The recreation room allows space for slumber parties and a “teen cave” for our children and their friends to escape. Upstairs we remodeled our bathrooms and put in comfort height vanity sinks and a comfort height toilet in the master bathroom.
Vic and I have spent many hours “playing in the dirt”; planting flowers and shrubs that bloom throughout the year and growing our own vegetables. We installed an in-ground sprinkler system as well to make yard care easier and more efficient.
A big bonus to this house is the excellent location. We often walk to two shopping centers that include grocery stores, a CVS, a clothing store, banks, restaurants, and a fabulous gym with indoor pool and children’s play area. It is also nice that the library is only 2 blocks away and right beside that are tennis courts, basketball courts, ball fields, and a playground. A community pool provides opportunity for summer activities as well. It has also been wonderful to have the elementary school within walking distance.
In addition, for commuters there is convenient rush hour bus service to the Pentagon and the Springfield Metro only a few blocks from the home. We have also walked over to the Park & Ride for bus service throughout the day. We are also only 1 mile from the Fairfax County Parkway, and 5 miles from the mixing bowl (I-95, I-395, I-495).
As we relocate to New Hampshire to be near our daughter and family (and our 18 month old grandson), it will be very hard to say goodbye to special neighbors, friends, and memories. We look forward to another family coming in and creating their own memories in our wonderful home.
