Hello, my name is Christopher, living at 211 Ingraham St NW has been a dream come true. I had been looking, saving, and praying for a house since 2003. In 2012, I became a first time home owner.
My initial intention was to settle in this area, get married, have kids, minister, and be a part of the community. I have the opportunity to leave because my work is giving me a chance to receive more training in the field of counseling on the west coast. I am sad to leave this home and area after all of the work and love I have poured into the home.
I fell in love with this part of DC early on in my search because of the floorplans and architecture which boast 2 fireplaces, 2 full bathrooms upstairs, unique character, wood floors, and typically reserved parking. I utilize all the community has to offer including: five free recreation centers, Chinese and Jamaican Restaurants, walk to the metro, walk to convenience stores (CVS), and recently I can get to Walmart quickly, as it is now only one mile away.
This area is peaceful, safe, restful, great school across the street, lovely porch to connect with neighbors, and spacious home inside and outside. I will always remember the Super Bowl party this past year when I was able to invite several people over whom I have worked alongside since 2001. It was indeed fun, memorable, and life-giving party to be able to have ample space to entertain and serve people. I will miss this space and I do thank God for this house!
