FROM THE OWNERS: Dear Prospective Buyer, 4390 Lorcom Lane, Apt 201, has been our home for the last 5 1/2 years. We have grown from newlyweds to a family of 4 inside these walls and have created some lasting and cherished memories here. While this condo has served us well, we are moving out of the area and we will truly miss this home. Living in this building has been wonderful. From gatherings in the community room for the 4th of July fireworks and winter holiday meet ups, to being able to walk up the street for delicious food and baked goods, to walking our favorite park on Woodstock, the location couldn’t have been better. On really nice days it’s an easy 20 minute walk to Ballston or a 45 minute walk to Clarendon, and on less pleasant days it’s a 10 minute walk to Thirsty Bernie’s or Cowboy Cafe for some food, beverages and great company. When we first moved in, we both worked downtown and I often opted to take the 3Y bus at the top of our street to McPherson Square in downtown DC where it was an easy walk to my office. It’s also easy to grab a bike from the bike share on the corner of Woodstock and Old Lee Hwy and bike to Ballston, if walking isn’t convenient. The surrounding neighborhoods of Waverly Hills and Cherrydale provide wonderful community, especially around Halloween and Christmas! While living here, we expanded the kitchen and added a Murphy bed in what we made an office/guest room to improve functionality of the unit. Our fantastic home in #201 now offers very generous food preparation space and ample storage for kitchen wares! The unit is already a wonderful space with generous bedroom sizes, great closets in each bedroom and a wonderful balcony where we had many post-work drinks and dinners when the weather was lovely. Additionally, the balcony gets wonderful light for container gardens and I had a great amount of success with herbs and cherry tomatoes! The building recently went through a process of lining the pipes which has extended their life. Before we had purchased our unit the building had also replaced their boilers and chiller. It was very comforting to know those systems were in place. We hope you will love this condo as much as we have and create your own lasting memories! We will miss it dearly.
