Dear Home Buyer,
You will love living in this charming brick row house with the slate roof. Shortly after I moved into this house seven years ago I had the walkway and front steps rebuilt with flagstone and brick. This made a huge difference in the look of the front of the house. During the past year I carried the flagstone and brick theme onto the rear patio which made it a truly pleasant place to relax.
I had never grown flowers before moving here, and this small front yard has something blooming in it most of the year. Wait until you see the Japanese anemones that bloom beside the walkway in the summer! And in the late Fall and early Winter the pink camellia bush beside the front gate will be full of blossoms.
I love the basement den with the wall of bookshelves. It is such a comfortable place to read or watch television. The built-in desk is also particularly useful if you need to spread out your papers when you are working at home. If you like to entertain, the dining room is large enough so that I am able to put the extra leaves in my table and serve dinner for ten.
The windows have been all replaced which helped lower the utility bills, and I have an annual contract to check the heating and air conditioning systems and the plumbing so I don’t think you will have any problems with those systems.
Del Ray is a great area for walking – on Saturday morning the farmer’s market will be full of your neighbors buying fresh produce, and others will be taking their dogs to the dog park a few blocks away. There are also plenty of restaurants along Mt. Vernon Ave., as well as grocery stores, drug store, and many other amenities.
