Dear Home Buyer,
You will love living in this charming brick row house with its slate roof. Shortly after I moved into this house seven years ago I had the walkway and front steps rebuilt with flagstone and brick. This made a huge difference in the look of the front of the house. During the past year I carried the flagstone and brick theme onto the rear patio which made it a truly pleasant place to relax in the evenings and during early morning coffee.
I had never grown flowers before moving here; the front yard has something blooming in it most of the year. Wait until you see the Japanese anemones that bloom beside the walkway in the summer, and in the late Fall and early Winter the camellia bush beside the front gate will be full of pink blossoms.
I love the basement family room with the wall of “built-in� bookshelves; it is such a comfortable place to read and watch television. Also, the built-in desk is useful for spreading out papers when you are working from home. The spacious dining room is large enough to serve dinner for 10
I replaced the windows which helped lower my utility bills year round. I have used an annual contract to check the heating and air conditioning systems and the plumbing so I know I am passing along a good home.
Del Ray is a great area for walking, in fact, I walked to the Braddock Metro every day to go to work. On Saturday mornings you can walk to the farmers’ market to buy fresh produce and organic meats. The streets are typically filled with your neighbors enjoying a walk or taking their dogs to the nearby dog park. Many of my favorite restaurants are also along Mt. Vernon Ave., and grocery stores, a drug store, and other amenities are nearby.
