To the new homeowner of 355 Snyder Lane, Welcome to your new townhome! My children and I have greatly enjoyed our time living on Snyder Lane. It felt like home from the moment we moved in, and we would be happy to stay if it were just the three of us. Only falling in love and deciding to merge our family with Jill’s has caused us to say goodbye to Snyder Lane. With four teenagers we really need five bedrooms, so we decided to let another family enjoy our townhome. The first time I saw this townhome I was attracted to the light throughout the home. It was so much more open than I expected it to be, and it felt even larger with all the windows. We loved playing games in the sunlight of the main level as a family. We invited nature into our living room by looking out the back windows on all three levels at the trees or stars or snow. We frequently opened the shutters to let the light shine into the kitchen as we cooked dinner and talked about the day. I liked to get up early and enjoy a cup of coffee on the back deck, listening to the birds sing. When you walk outside the front door of this townhome, there’s a good chance one of your neighbors will greet you. And the children on the cul-de-sac are always finding something to do together. I have particularly fond memories of watching them sled down the hill whenever there was enough snow. When you leave the townhome, it’s a short trip to Yowell Meadow Park or the Packard Theater or kayaking on Lake Pelham. Our small town has more than its share of great restaurants (make sure you try It’s About Time and Foti’s down on Davis Street). There’s great Indian, Greek, and Thai food less than a mile from home. When it’s cold, grab a cup of coffee and a scone at Raven’s Nest. And when you crave something sweet, pop in at the Frenchman’s Corner (make sure you don’t miss the Manon Sucre next Christmas!). Culpeper has a small town feel, but there’s a lot to see and do. And when you do need to go a bit farther afield, there’s easy access to Northern Virginia, Charlottesville, Fredericksburg, or the Shenandoah. I work in Manassas, but the commute up 29 is easy. We’ll miss our townhome, but we’ll cherish the memories of our time here. We’re ready to make some new memories in our new home in Culpeper, and we hope your family will love Snyder Lane as much as we do. Sincerely,
