flora Listening to soothing tunes all weekend (in addition to the pretty-muchperfect 77-degree weather) put me in a chipper mood, hence the spring-y print. Normally I’m not a floral-print kind of girl, but I do have an odd attraction towards pieces that fall at either of the two opposite ends of the print scale: microscopic flowers or huge flowers. This obnoxious-but-cute pair from Anthropologie I had picked up in gloomy Seattle, ironically. A loud pair of pants, these ones... I’d gone to grab a quick lunch at a low-key seafood joint in downtown yesterday and pretty much all eyes - host, customers, cooks, the whole shabang - were on me and my pantalones. Awkward. All I kept thinking was, “Uhh, #fashiongirlproblems?” Haha. Regardless of the attention, I did achieve a ‘lax and long overdue time in solitude. Amazing what a good, leisurely read, iced tea, soothing music, macarons, and some rose face mask will do for you. Hope your weekends were amazing!

Things I’m digging a whole lot right now: fishnet tops, denim jackets, cropped tops, sitting in ways that make my body look completely contorted, high slits, and light brown suede. First and third picture, I’m wearing: Urban Outfitters top, Old Navy denim jacket, Forever 21 dress (layered under), Jeffrey Campbell boots, and Melie Bianco bag. Second and last picture, I’m wearing: Free People lace top, H&M dress (DIY-ed my thigh-high slit), and ShoeMint boots.

PROJECT Whoops, didn’t mean to fall off the face of the earth of blogging but work and Vegas got in the way. I spent the past week working the PROJECT tradeshow, which was an interesting experience to say the least. Excited to be back!

for a little while
Wearing all at once the pieces I’m loving at the moment is never a bad thing, right? These shoes are such a win - they remind me of a pair of Phillip Lim’s I had once seen. They just simply make any outfit better. Obsessed with this vintage silk blouse I picked up last week, too. The teeny tiny print is fantastic and the sheen and color combo makes me giddy - it’s like a pyjama shirt on crack. And speaking of obsessions, I’ve been wearing my new Michael Kors watch and Jason Wu x Target satchel like mad. This MK watch is smaller than the gold one I usually wear, but I think its size is perfect for the color. As for the Jason Wu piece, it was the only thing I was able to get my hands on when the pieces hit online AND in stores. I actually dragged my arse out to a nearby Target to see if, maybe, for once, there would be something left for me... but of course, I’ve never been one to get lucky with Blah for Target or Blah for H&M crap. Well, I did leave around noon to check, so I guess I can’t blame the world for not sharing the goodies. I was contemplating on keeping it for a while, but the satchel’s definitely grown on me.
It’s been SUCH a lovely weekend, and I’m soaking it all in. Long weekends are much appreciated now that I feel like I’m always working... when you’re used to regulated hours, only seeing the sun while you drive to work, etc., you begin to get excited over two days of just rest and a peace of mind, catching up with friends when the sun is at its peak, and, of course, sleeping in. But, reality resumes and I should probably get back into sleeping earlier than 2:00 am. Nighty night everyone! __

in seattle... Only in Seattle: absolutely fresh oysters, Alaskan salmon, lush, fresh green everywhere, excellent coffee, cityscape grazing the coastline, BEST clam chowder (ever), and a lively public market. We were so lucky that the only time it rained on us was when we had left for the airport to return home.

Because the weather has been painstakingly gorgeous lately, I fished out this old gem of a sweater - in mint (haha, get it?) condition - to pair with a long tank/dresstype of concoction from Zara.
I love the fact that it’s drapey, ultra soft, and it comes in basic colors (snagged myself a black one as well) and in neon, my favorite hue as of late.
PLAID WEEK
m
y weekend in a nutshell: pinatas and kiddies (hilarious), macarons, wine and cheese boardin’ with friends, a bunch of errands, catching up with an old friend over NY-style pizza and bacon-wrapped dates, and a change of hair. That last part? Let’s just say I bid farewell to my virgin hair and said hello to an ashy brown and reintroduced my forehead to some strands of hair. Nothing too drastic, but it’s a nice change... I think. Overall a busier weekend than I had hoped, but at least I got to wind down with the Oscars (Gwyneth, Rooney, Michelle Williams, and Natalie Portman were my favorites of the night) in the last few hours of my weekend. This week, I’m looking forward to flying through the rest of February and welcoming March, and having a lessfrantic-than-the-last weekend in celebration of my love’s birthday.

Going to family functions always makes me dress a little more conservative and ladylike
hence the tweed-y frayed jacket, floral top,
and court
heels. And now that I’m looking
back at these photos, I kind of miss my wispy,
longish hair sans the fringe bangs, mid-length cut, and ashy brown color. Damn it, I’m so indecisive and never satisfied... but I guess it keeps life
