Finally, a post more up-todate for the new month: my latest ‘do, my new favorite pants (ever), and these sandals I still am not tired of. I realized after looking back at the photos taken that I am sort of reminiscent of the American flag but... um, yeah that wasn’t intentional. Stars, and stripes and the colors red and blue just seem to magnetize each other.

About these pants: it’s a cropped skinny called the “Rail” and it’s pretty much simplicity in a pant, perfected. It fits me like a glove, and the thin-stripe detail goes with anything, dressed up or down. I’ve gotten a lot of email inquiries about where to buy Kasil, because it’s only exclusively sold in certain boutiques, Nordstrom’s, and Bloomingdale’s. It’s unfortunately hard to track down such good bottoms... BUT if you’re in LA, this pair is available at Madison, Satine, and Ron Herman.

Top: Zara; Skirt: Mink Pink; Outer: Zara; Shoes: Theyskens’ Theory; Eyewear: Ray Ban; Bag: Zara; Belt: vintage
s you can see from my past posts here and here, I am obsessed with skirts in this cut/shape. This outfit I actually wore two(?) weeks ago, and I am still loving the color and the cute buttons spliced down the middle... makes for a playful, innocent look.
Speaking of this shape, how good is this Proenza
I’m looking forward to doing some vintage shop-
Schouler skirt? I’m (especially) lusting after everything
ping this weekend. I’m really bummed I (nor my
Proenza at this hour, and it’s definitely not healthy
friends) couldn’t get my hands on those leather sling-
when I can’t seem to take my glued eyes away from the
backs or the leather jacket from Marni x H&M, but I
screen to get some much-needed shuteye. Oy. Aside
think I’ve come to terms that shopping at nonsensi-
from riding out the weather roller coaster this week,
cal hours is never going to work out for me. Boo hoo.
STATEMEN After having recently written a quick blurb for Chictopia’s Everybody Is Ugly on how to incorporate statement accessories into your spring wardrobe, I found my way back to wearing a little more jewelry and accessories again. Gold always contrasts nicely with cool blue, and this ombre Zara top is way, way cool. Anyway, check out the short write-up to see what I’m ogling over for the spring season. What was supposed to be a relaxing weekend actually felt like a long, wrought-out list of to-dos squeezed into two days... but, I did get the chance to check out the Rose Bowl Flea Market! It only occurs once a month and I’ve been trying to get my arse out there for a year and a half, do I feel accomplished? Heck yeah. Awesome place for home decor and furniture! Too bad I didn’t walk out with vintage jewelry that I had gone in to look for; instead I unearthed two awesome belts, which is still fine by me. Hoping to try out the Melrose Trading Post next... any one been?

INITIALLY,I HAD FELT A SORT OF hatred towards daylights saving last Sunday - I had places to go and things to do, but my attempting to wake up early to get things done still seemed pointless. But, losing an hour has made coming home from work so much more enjoyable - it’s nice after a long day at work to get to enjoy the warm sun. We’ve been having gorgeous weather lately... but next week, it’s dipping into the mid-50s. That’s, um, freezing in So Cal terms. Not sure how my immune system is handling the bi-polar weather, bah. Gonna toot my own horn for a quick bit here. For the past few months, I’ve been awfully proud of my spending habits. Buying basics, trying to invest only in what I think are special and re-mixable pieces, like this plain black lyocell tank from Zara (neon version seen here). Spring, notwithstanding this weekend’s cold and rainy forecast, is almost here and I’m actually pumped to do some spring cleaning next week. Hoping to update my blog shop soon... keep your eyes peeled. H A P P Y T H U R S D A Y X X .

Jacket: Joe’s Jean; Top: 2020AVE; Jumper: H&M; Jeans: Kasil Workshop; Boots: Steve Madden
I teamed up with Beso.com recently to test out the functionality of the one-stop shopping hub. I found these Steve Madden boots (pictured below) from Beso and was really surprised to find how easy it was to sort through the massive list of pieces and narrow it down to what I had wanted: brown boots on sale.

boyfriend KIND OF DAY A couple weekends ago the bf and I spent a whole day as tourists in our own turf, starting with brunch at - you guessed - Bottega Louie. It’s been two or three times since I’ve eaten there, and still I can’t bring myself to like/love it as much as other people do. The wide open space
and pristine walls are the only thing that lock it in for me. Not even their macarons get me, and if you follow my Instagram (@neonblush), you’d know that I’m an absolute macaron fanatic. Still, the food looked pretty and it was fun scoping out old and new LA spots with my love.

THIS WEEKEND WAS ALL ABOUT CATCHING UP ON
leisure reads and discovering spots to eat. So far, I’m two for two with adding new places to my list of absolute favorites, woot. Two weekends in a row now we were greeted with remarkably chilly weather, and only this time around was I somewhat prepared, what with the thick denim jacket and cozy cardigan and all. This short-sleeved, dotted top from DV has surprisingly easy mixing ability, making it my choice of collared blouses at the moment. Same goes with this stinking cute tasseled bag from Melie Bianco! There are so many zips that you get to play pseudo designer and pretty much contort the bag into all sorts of pouch-shapes.
Cardigan: Topshop; Jacket: Old Navy; Top: DV by Dolce Vita; Pants: Zara; Shoes: Jeffrey Campbell; Ring: YSL

THREADED
FELT LIKE prancing around 3rd St. in a peachy keen and comfortable ensemble last weekend, something that I picture myself wearing if I were going to Coachella this year. I had planned on going--and even had the pleasure of unwrapping and opening the beautiful Coachella packaging--but I ended up having to forfeit the wristband. Bummer.
