SUGGESTIONS

Extention of MFPs/Medicinal plants in Kandas is required and permit for its collection be given to the locals only. Protection of MFPs is required. Training camps to educate the people about use of MFPs be organised in the villages.

PEOPLES PARTICIPATION: MAIN PROBLEMS Wild animals destroys the crops of the villagers in Kandas. There is no Central place for organising Central functions in the area. Acomodation of Mahilla Mandal & Community Hall is very old and poor conditioned. Kandah areas are not linked with the roads. Proper cremotoriums are not held in the area. Huge loss is being created by galciers, stone rolling and soil erosion in the area. No sewerage lines/tanks are held in the villages. Medicinal plants are very less in the Kandas. The footpath from Tapang Kanda to Timcho Lake is very poor. The condition of Fort at Labrang is very poor as its roof has been broken. Irrigation facilities in the area are very poor. Crossing over the nalas is very tough.

PEOPLES PRIORITIES

SUGGESTION FOR IMPROVEMENT Barbed wire fencing be provided for the private land of villagers in Kandas. Community Centre be made at Labrang for organising the Centraql functions. The existing accomodation be dismentelled and new be made. Link road is required from Labrang to Tapang Kanda. Cremotorium with rain shed be made at Charing, Tunglang, Nigrang, Tinmochukchang, Kanam & Sunam.

Priority.

All the areas are required to be stablised by making structures. Cemtral sewerage lines/tanks be made in Labrang, kanam, Karla, Spillo villages. Medicinal plants be provided to villagers for planting in private land. Maintenance of the path is required. Maintenance of the Fort is required as the same is property of our Country. Farm ponds be made at Labrang, Kanam, Karla & spilo for irrigation purposes. Existing irrigation kuhl be repaired. Water of Timcho lake be supplied to the villages by diversion through tunnel to opposite side. Foot bridges be made on Horning Nala, Kanam Nala near Senior secondary school for crossing of men and livestock.
