PEOPLES PARTICIPATION: MAIN PROBLEMS There is shortage of teaching staff in Sr Secondary School Lanj. There is shortage of furniture and accommodation also. The old road of 1970 is in very miserable condition. There is shortage of irrigation water in whole the areas. There is shortage of drinking water. There is shortage of medical staff in dispensary. There is no aid/facilities to Mahila Mandals. There is no drainage system of waste flowing water at Kotlu Nala to Lanj (3 Kms). The condition of village paths is very poor. drainage along the paths is not good. There is no income generating facilities in the area. There is no govt accommodation for Community Hall and Kishan Bhawan.
SUGGESTION FOR IMPROVEMENT Education staff be updated and furniture and accommodation be provided to the School. The mettalling of the road is urgently required. Lift scheme is possible from Satluj to Lanj at heigt of 1 Km to cover 30 small villages. Maintenance of old Drinking water source is required to save the wastage of water, so that the same can be used for drinking. Adequate medical staff be posted to the dispensary to provide medical cover to the villages. Aid/facilities be given to the Mahila Mandals to work in all types of social works.
