SUGGESTIONS
To save the MFPs five years rotation of collection be maintained.
PEOPLES PARTICIPATION: MAIN PROBLEMS All the area has been disturbed by PWD road cuttings. Problems have been faced by the locals due to closure of TD. Tourists going to Shrikhand throw huge plastic bags/containers in the route and are not maintaining proper discipline. Condition of path to Shrikhand Mahadev is not good. As per the people they are not getting any benefits from the forest. Lower part of Senior Secondary School Jaon had been damaged by PWD by road cutting. People are not getting their payments for the Works being done under FDA. Cutting of trees by corporations are damaging other plants adjoining to the marked plant. Beats devided in the area is very large to cover by a forest worker. Healthcare system of cattle is not satisfactory. Road cutting has been created huge loss to plants and property. Electricity projects planted on the tributries/river of HP are not usefull for the people of the area as they only creat loss to the property and not gives any type of benefit to the people.
SUGGESTION FOR IMPROVEMENT Proper water drainage works and soil conservation works be done in proper way. PWD be instructed for proper dumping and cutting for construction of road. Ban on TD be lifted and TD be distributed to the locals as per proper requirement after verification. Proper enviornment discipline manners be listed out and tourists be forced to maintain and follow up the laid down discipline. Foot path to Shrikhand Mahadev be widened and made with solling and cement concrete. If the benefits are given to the locals, they are volunteer to help the forest department for plantation, soil conservation works and fire prevention. PWD be instructed to make the retaing walls along the road to avoid loss to School building.
PEOPLES PRIORITIES
Priority.
Works under FDA be started once the funds for making payment are made available. Cutting of plants by corporation be stopped immediately to save the forests and environment. Beats of the forests be devided on the basis of hectarage for proper looking after the forests. Checking of seimens and healthcare system be done immediately Retaining walls and plantation be done both sides of the roads. Either electricity be made free for the people of HP or no Hydel project be planted on the land and water of HP.
