SUGGESTIONS

No suggestion.

PEOPLES PARTICIPATION: MAIN PROBLEMS Trees are being cut down frequently by corporation causing fire hazards, burning of wild animals and globel warming. There is no plantation in the area blank due to cutting of trees by corporation. Banning the TD has created huge problem of wood for making houses etc. The area and villages are not connected with the motorage road from any side. The climate, soild and path to Shrikhand Mahadev is being spoiled frequently by the tourists by throwing plastic containers and wasts enroute. Way to Shri Khand Mahadev is very poor. There is no use of forests until the locals are not provided with their rights. There is no provision of safe water disposal system in the area. Drinking and irrigation water shortage exist in the villages of MWS. The Gharats are the property of the villagers and the same are in poor condition. The area under forest beats is very large which is very tough to look after by a forest worker. There is no healthcare system for cattle and human in the area of MWS. There is no benefits of Hydel Projects made on the land and tributries of Himachal.

SUGGESTION FOR IMPROVEMENT Cutting of trees by corporation be stopped immediately to avoid such type of losses. New plantation and soil conservation works be done every year in the areas. Ban on TD be lifted and wood be provided as per requirement after proper verification. All the villages falling in the area of MWs be connected with link road. Proper instruction on the environment discipline be laid down and followed up by the tourists for cleanliness of the area. The way is required to be widened and made with Cement concrete. The locals will be helpfull towards the forest deptt for plantation and saving the fire hazards. Safe water disposal system in the areas be done. Drinking water be supplied from Damar Khad by Kuhl to facilitate all the villages. Aid to the Gharat holders be given for its maintenance. Area of forest beats be limited on the basis of hectarage to cover all the area by a forest worker. Healthcare system with efficient doctor and sufficient medicines be opened in the area, Either free electricity be provide to the people of HP or No Hydel project be allowed on the land and tributries of HP.
