SUGGESTIONS
New types of MFPs be planted and existing species of MFPs be extended. No permit to the contractors from other places be given.
Volume: XI Chapter: 4 Page No:
179
PEOPLES PARTICIPATION: MAIN PROBLEMS MFPs in the forest have been very less due to improper removal of the products. No accommodation like Rest House/Community Centre is held in the area. There is no accommodation for PHC. The PHC is also not equipped with instruments and medicines. Veterinary is not available in the MWS area.
There is no source of selling of produces from the 15/20 area. The condition of bridle paths in the sanctuary area is very poor due to felling of trees and soil erosion. A lot of fallen trees are lying in the forest areas which are destroying the small plants. Forests and new plantations are being destroyed frequently by fire hazards. Wild animals in the sanctuary area are also damages due to fire. Link road is not held in the areas. No storage of water at natural resources is made in the area. Irrigation Kuhl which is under plan is not stable as the area is steep and stone damage the kuhl frequently. There is no facilities of higher education in the area.
SUGGESTION FOR IMPROVEMENT New MFP plantation be done and no contractors from out side be allowed for marketing of products.
PEOPLES PRIORITIES
A Rest House/Community Centre be opened at Bara Kamba. Accommodation, good equipment and sufficient medicines be provided for PHC. Vaterinary is required to be opened at Bara Kamba. People be encouraged to keep good variety of cows for production of milk. Cows be provided on loan. A Milk plant be provided for 15/20 area. Span be provided for supply of produces to the road head. All the bridle paths in the sanctuary area are required to be required. All the fallen trees in the forests area required to be removed. The same also increase fire hazards. The fallen treen be given to Corporation immediately for its use in positive manner. Fire lines and fencing be made in the forests. Long grass be cut off to save the fire hazards. Wild life is urgently required to be saved from fire. Maximum budget of CAT plan be expended on forests and Wild Life. Shorang - Rupi old forest road be made jeepable road. Storage tanks at natural water resources be made for saving of water for drinking purposes. Pipe line be provided for irrigation water instead of open kuhl. Existing middle school be upgraded to High School and sufficient accommodation be made.
