Have you ever stopped to think about what the world would be like if every single woman on this Earth believed in her own power?

Go ahead, take a few minutes and imagine a world full of Frida Kahlos… women who simply embrace. Who embrace themselves, their bodies and their power. Women with passion, who trust their mission, and show up in their business SEEN and HEARD in their truth. Being present and embracing SELF is truly a gift in all directions.

But most women don’t embrace themselves, and certainly don’t embrace their bodies, as they are told a story that has them questioning their very own reflection. The story that is so deeply ingrained into females all over the world; the one that tells them that their worth is intertwined with how they look.

For centuries, females have been subject to ideals created by a patriarchal society. These ideals are used to suppress the raw, divine power of women. Young girls are indoctrinated and kept busy thinking about what they lack; and kept distracted from their true worth and power.

The mirror has become the narrator of this story activating the critical voice in women’s heads. The voice of doubt, the voice of judgment, the voice of comparison. The voice of the inner critic.

Your inner critic joins you at the mirror pointing out your faults, and so you reach for style to cover up, to edit, to deliver a version of you.

You stand at the mirror and your first thought is, “I need to cover my… tuckshop arms, jelly belly, thunder thighs, big butt, fat knees, saggy bust,” and the list goes on and on!

Here’s the kicker… if you hide your body, you hide yourself, you hide your magic.

It is time to tame your inner critic and claim the mirror as a place for celebration, for honoring, owning and embracing your truth. Recognise your own divine beauty, your unique scent, smile and energy! And cultivate gratitude for your divine body and the life it gifts you.

“It is time to stop abandoning our bodies. To come home to them and wear them like the perfect fit that they are! To allow our hearts, souls, passions and love to be expressed and seen. For this – this is the true beauty of you.” – Mandy Hargreaves
