Push Button Valve RMG 911a operating position "open"

General Description

911.00 Edition 07/1993

Serving the gas industry - WORLDWIDE

Push Button Valve RMG 911a operating position "open" Application • for use in measuring lines for safety devices • suitable for natural gas and all non-corrosive gaseous media

Characteristics • enables an easy and safe testing of safety shut-off and safety relief valves through integrated screw couplings for pressurization and pressure measuring • the valve can be closed by pushing the lever; it re-opens automatically into its operating position upon release • with a three-way ball valve as an optional feature • tested by DVGW, corresponds to the demands stated in the DVGW-worksheet G 491

The push button contact valve RMG 911a is used in measuring lines for safety shut-off valves and safety relief valves. Corresponding to the demands stated in the DVGW-worksheet G 491 (6.4) these devices are allowed to be mounted in the measuring line, if they can guarantee the function of the safety devices after testing. This demand is fulfilled by the automatic opening of the valve seat upon release. When using switchable measuring impulse connections a push button valve is applied in combination with a three-way ball valve (with overlapping switching positions). This guarantees the connection with at least one measuring impulse line to the measuring unit in any position of the three-way ball valve. In the normal operating position the push button contact valve is "open" and the pressure is monitored at the measuring unit. The SSV can be tested by pressing the lever of the valve RMG 911a downwards to the stop. Thus the measuring line interrupted, and via one connection at the side of the valve the pressure within the measuring line (leading to the SSV actuator) can be altered by using special testing equipment. The second screw coupling enables the connection of a controlling pressure gauge. Optionally the screw couplings can be mounted in any position, to the right or the left of the push button contact valve. After the testing process the valve re-opens into its normal operating position by releasing the lever, which is placed into the location hole and additionally confirms the valve position to be "open".
