The monitoring device RMG 917 was designed to monitor and give indication of gas leakages vented away by safety relief valves (SBV). Moreover, the RMG 917 simplifies the control of the response precision and of the setpoint adjustment of the leakage relief valve. The monitoring device consists of the control element and the indicator assembly. The signals are transmitted from the pressure chamber to the indicator by means of a magnet system; thus special sealings are not required for the indicator assembly. With the device in the position "ready to function", the magnets will produce closing forces which -in addition to the force exerted by the weight of the valve plate- will keep the control element in the wards to indicate: "Response of the SBV" (safety relief valve).
