Motiv8 has been delivering its programme across Greater Manchester since January 2017. Here is a sample of some of the fantastic results achieved by our participants so far. Barry said: “I was doing nothing before I got involved with Motiv8. I was lost - and I didn’t know this help was out there. Motiv8 has helped me with debt, housing, training and so much more. I’m in a much better situation now and I’m starting to feel more optimistic about the future. I look and feel so different to how I did just a few weeks ago.”
“Motiv8 motivated me to get back on track.”
Andrew said: “I didn’t know that any help was out there and I’m so glad I found it. Look at me now - I have a job, I have inspiration and I can hold my head up high and feel good about myself!” Working with Motiv8’s partner, Challenge 4 Change, was the perfect option for Rachel, one of our participants who has mobility issues. She had been unable to get out with her 2 boys, who are both young carers, and the family dynamic was suffering. Rachel said: “We had a fantastic time and staff were great. This was something I never thought I would do due to being disabled and terrified of heights but I did it thanks to the help of the staff. Thanks lads!”
Thomas said: “Before I got involved with Motiv8 I was in a very desperate place and I could see no end to it. Motiv8 helped me to bring my life back on track. Now I am volunteering at Manchester Museum and studying at college and I’m an active member of a photographic group. You have given me the motivation to join the human race again.” Kenny said: “Before joining Motiv8 my confidence was at an all time low due to losing my job. The programme has restored my confidence which has resulted in me finding employment. The help to prepare for interviews and also providing me with a monthly bus ticket until my first pay day has been much appreciated. I feel as if I am back to my old self. I have a brighter future and hope.”
