Witham St Hughs takes its name from the River Witham that runs nearby and St Hugh, who became Bishop of Lincoln in 1186. Hugh’s primary emblem was a swan, from which the name Cygnet Place is derived. From the A46 Leave the A46 Newark to Lincoln road at the Halfway House Roundabout, signposted Witham St Hughs. Head south for approximately 0.4 miles and at the first roundabout take the 1st exit onto Warren Lane. Just after passing the school on your left, take the 2nd exit at the roundabout by the shops, onto Green Lane. After 0.2 miles turn right onto Juniper Way, proceed to the end of the road and you’ll arrive at Cygnet Place.
