Leicester .

Leicester lies in the heart of England and is the largest city in the East Midlands, offering a vibrant and culturally diverse place to work, live and play. The city has fast become a thriving, cosmopolitan city boasting a wealth of shops, nightlife and culture, leaving behind its industrial past to welcome in the best that modern living can offer.

THE

A growing population of over 280,000 has brought a real buzz to the place, fuelled by the huge investment enjoyed in recent years. This spirit of excitement could be why over 40,000 students have chosen Leicester’s two universities as their seats of learning. Leicester is surrounded by pretty country villages and some of Britain’s finest countryside, with the English National Forest, Belvoir castle and a diverse range of waterways just a short journey away. It’s looking like one of the most desirable places to live in the UK.

There are plenty of attractions to keep you occupied in bustling Leicester city centre. If shopping’s your addiction, then Leicester’s well equipped to satisfy the most keen of cravings. The stunning Highcross building in particular is a must-see on every visit. A massive new shopping development in the heart of the city, Highcross’ iconic patterned glass exterior makes it just one example of contemporary architecture that nestles alongside classic designs throughout this historic city. Alternatively, if local produce and bargain hunting are your thing, check out Europe’s largest covered market, with over 300 traditional stalls offering everything you could possibly need.

a style for life.

In the evenings, culture lovers head for De Montfort Hall, named after the father of modern parliamentary democracy. It’s home to a wide variety of entertainment from stand up comedy to opera and also regularly plays host to well-known jazz, classical blues and pop artists. And for all theatre lovers, The Curve theatre provides an ever-changing stage on which to enjoy new plays and emerging talent. A symbol of cultural excellence for the city, this outstanding theatre is enjoying increasing prominence and a reputation for pushing creative boundaries as it satisfies audiences throughout the week.

With a cultural cross-section as diverse as Leicester’s, it’s hardly surprising that you’ll find virtually every type of cuisine for both the hungry and discerning diner. Leicester is famous for the authentic curries found in the Melton Road area. But you could just as easily head for an Italian meal on London Road, or enjoy anything from Chinese to French food at one of the diverse range of city centre restaurants. In fact, the eateries in Leicester’s famous Highcross cater for every imaginable taste in style. From the luxuriant 1573 Bar and Grill, to the tempting Handmade Burger Co, traditional eastern dining courtesy of MemSaab, Wagamama’s ever-popular noodles, or fabulous pastry treats at Urban Pie, every palette is easily indulged. At night the city is bursting with life, with exciting new bars, pubs, clubs, bistros, cocktail bars and live music venues, providing everything from laidback chic to the latest underground djs. Leicester has become the place to be seen. And the Abbey Quarter most definitely makes it the place to live.

Morris: proud of what we build. As our Abbey Quarter development perfectly illustrates, we combine exceptional build quality with high specification and outstanding design in every property we build. We work to strict standards and carry out rigorous checks to make sure we meet your demands for excellence. Standards and checks we lay down in a Quality Management Log Book – a working document that clarifies for everybody involved in the build, exactly what is expected of them. A representative of the NHBC (National House-Building Council) visits on a regular basis to inspect and assess. Our Sales Advisor is in constant contact with our Site Manager to keep up-todate with progress and pass that information on to buyers. We seek – and act on – the opinions of the most important people in the process: our customers.

Abbey Quarter also exemplifies how selective we are about where we choose to build – not only the location but how we develop the land. Wherever possible, we acquire sites with a mature feel. Where we can, we design around existing trees and features. We invest heavily to help our developments blend in with their surroundings, through the use of materials that are in keeping with the style and history of the locality. And by investing in Brownfield sites wherever possible, we can help regenerate and enhance both the developed and the natural aspects of the area. We are serious about the environment and our most recent recognition in this area is the Green Housebuilder of the year award.

At Morris we take pride in the quality of our work. We’ve won many prestigious accolades, including the National House-Building Council’s ‘Pride in the Job’ awards, and we’re rated as one of the nation’s 5* house builders.

We then work to the highest standards and combine traditional craftsmanship with modern construction techniques and building materials, to realise our plans and to create homes that are both welcoming and practical.

We design homes which are carefully laid out to make the most of the overall design and ensure that the space is flexible enough to meet the demands of modern living.

We’re confident that our houses are somewhere you’ll want to come home to. An extensive range of interior packages means all tastes are catered for, from the classic through to the contemporary.

We offer the ability to tailor the choices available to give you a home which is distinctly yours.

the right choices. Whichever Abbey Quarter property you choose, and depending on the stage of construction, you will have a number of design options open to you. In the kitchen, you can choose from a range of unit finishes, work surfaces and tiles from leading manufacturers. In the bathroom or en-suite, you will find stylish sanitary ware and again you will have the choice from a broad selection of tiles. We also offer you a wide range of optional extras: from decorative finishes to a choice of flooring, from integrated kitchen appliances to additional power sockets.
