On its cover, the October/ November issue of Leading Architecture & Design features the redevelopment of the Jewel City precinct. These six city blocks in Johannesburg’s eastern CBD, re-envisioned by GASS Architecture Studios, are reinvigorating the city’s urban revival. Other featured projects include: 32 on Kloof by dhk, a catalytic project leading a new precinct in Cape Town; an off-the-grid suburban family home designed by Veld Architects; and the new guest suites at 57 Waterberg in the Welgevonden Game Reserve designed by W Design Architecture Studio. The featured interior is Paragon's workplace design solution for the new Deloitte Africa HQ in Waterfall. The rest of the issue includes sections focussing on outdoor living, kitchens, bathrooms and the trend for designing with timber.
