The benefits of Evonik’s shpingolipid and ceramide technologies range from strengthening the skin from the stratum corneum to the subcutis, reinforcing the skin lipid barrier, improving skin moisturisation, protecting from harmful external effects and counteracting dermal photoageing to the prevention of hair loss. Evonik’s ceramide technologies include: • Ceramide III, which builds a protective layer to keep moisture in the skin and plump it up. • Ceramide IIIB, which acts in the same ways at ceramide III but has better oil solubility. • Ceramide III EP MB, which is an easy-to-process Ceramide NP blend to support the renewal of the skin’s natural protective layer. • Ceramide VI, which normalises the skin’s natural desquamation (peeling) process.
