Calculating the cost of producing labels
When buying a label printer, one needs to consider how important it is to know the cost per label and production volume. Most businesses looking to invest in equipment don’t realise it’s often the consumption of ink/ toner and consumables rather than the price of the equipment that determines the real cost of any label printer. The cheapest machines can end up being the costliest when the actual quantities of labels required are taken into account.
Investing in a label printer is not an expense. Investments and expenses are two different things. Expenses are necessary – they cost money but are obligatory or useful for a business to function efficiently.
Investments usually involve a capital outlay. The difference is that over the long term, investments help a business grow. This is often through increasing profits, saving costs, or streamlining processes within the company.
