Introduction

A NEW HOPE FOR ARTISTS? We may be optimistic, but our cultural and artistic situation is worrying. Fortunately, artists are tireless and continue to create original work, often reflecting our current times, with or without masks, but also drawing inspiration from universal thought, dreams and creativity.

The world has gone mad and is experiencing death on a social, economic and psychological level; all men, women and children have been thrown into a never-ending tunnel where reality is turned into a puppet show of light and shadows, like Plato's famous cave allegory. Artists who broke their chains must find their way to the light and freedom.

ONLY THE BEST is happy to support all artists, whether they are beginners or established, on their wonderful artistic journey. They continue to create, despite all the troubles brought on by human society, like flowers that bloom between the cracks of the paved roads.

BIG ONE 2021 is excited to crown the winners of our international competition. This year has been fruitful and our jury had the difficult task of choosing the finalists presented in this catalog. Let's not forget all those who participated but didn't receive an award... We wish them all the best, because art is a path which recognizes those who work with passion. Enjoy life, your family and your art! Have a good reading.

A

délia Clavien from Miège (VS) is born in Portugal, has been living in Switzerland since 1981, and lives in Trélex.

Although she spent a long time among the artistic community in Valais, she attended her first painting courses and started photography in St Gall where she lived 10 during years. Curious and passionate, Adélia has been fascinated by Arts since she was young and has been working in the IT domain for over 20 years.

As an artist, she works in an autodidactic and passionate manner. She explores various painting technics (acrylic, charcoal, sand, stained glass, epoxy resin etc) and use her knowledge of photography to created original paintings mixed with photography – New Pop Realism.

The various presented themes allow us to escape in a colored and mysterious universe – Adelia’s universe. Adelia works part-time in order to have more time for her artistic activities (photography, painting, music, dancing). Selfeducated, she is multitalented, speaks several languages, plays several music instruments, is comfortable with the new technology, and is a naturally open person.

10

The mixed media technique brings an extra dimension to my work because it is full of elements, textures, details and allows me to explore the interactions between the different mediums and graphic instruments. The use of a mixed media technique offers me immense possibilities of expression and allows me to personalize my artistic language. In painting, we speak of mixed technique when the colored matter includes at least two binders of different nature or heterogeneous materials. In the history of painting technique, artists have often mixed materials to achieve their ends. My "mixed media" paintings are compositions containing up to 15 (or much more) photos superimposed and digitally processed.

GILLIAN NORTHMORE

G

illian was born in England and lives in Cambridge. For many years, she devoted herself mainly to drawing and its multiple techniques. For several years she took an artistic break to take care of her children. During her free time, she continues to learn different drawing techniques by watching tutorials and videos on the Internet. Because of this, it would be easy to say that Gillian is a self-taught artist.

In 2017, she picked up her brushes and oil paint again. Gillian is a passionate woman who loves reading, food, theatre and, of course, painting and art galleries where she dreams of one day exhibiting her artwork.

Gillian signs her work under the name Northmore. She enjoys bringing her paintings to life, whether they are of seascapes or animals. In her portraits, Gillian's attention to detail is like a photograph: you can see even the artist's reflection in the iris of the person she has painted. As you can see from her work, Gillian loves and plays with the reflection of her subjects, whether in the eyes or in the water.

Gillian would like to have her first exhibition in the near future. Note that she donates 50% of her sales to charity. One last detail about the artist: one of her works was recently accepted in an American exhibition. Let's bet that Gillian will be able to pursue her goals.

I

was born on May 13, 1960 in Lausanne.

Drawing has always been part of my life since I was young. Self-taught artist, passionate about the masterpieces of the Grand Masters of the 3rd art: Caravaggio, Dali, Magritte, Théodore Géricault, Delacroix and many others.

Influenced by my reading: Stephen Hawking, Niels Bohr, the Bogdanov brothers, Max Planck, Paul Dirac, The Dalai Lama, Damasio, Paul Watzlawick, Gregory Bateson, Kafka, Lucretia, the sacred texts of Vedanta and Buddhism.

I wanted, on my scale, to transcribe my feelings and emotions, in order to transmit an artistic spiritual experience.

What is the essence of life? Time? Of the universe? My questions are expressed in my creations. Stories restored and conceptualized from the media, culture, politics, and society.

I capture as much information as possible on key moments in history. I tell them and paint them like a “Jãtaka” in small symbolic scenes, in windows, thus depicting a subjective and illusory play.

The supports of the medium are cotton or linen canvases, oil paint. Sometimes cardboard, paper, drywall, watercolor, acrylic, pastel, pencil. Clay sculptures are invited to my creation and according to my moods and my meditative inspirations.

n uncertain landscape on the borderline between abstract and figurative.

In front of the canvas, I am in a state of responsiveness in order to free and give echo to what comes to mind ! The secrets of the invisible ! I try to recall this « other space », longtime buried, in which we conserve all the forgotten memories.

I am attentive to the unexpected, to the accidents. My hands, my body, are intermediaries between this quest and what is created on the canvas. I often observe that the canvas knows more about it than I do.

The only definite element : my palette ! It imposes itself without reflection. Moreover, it's often the same colours from one canvas to another. Always few in number. I work on and blend the oils, the pigments. I mesure the proportions , I balance and unbalance them in different ways in order to allow them to express their vibrations.

The painting reveals itself, little by little, making its own propositions, Sometimes I just follow the quide. I welcome what happens, what's being created, what is being lived , with total abandon, open to accidents.

My quest is that of transparency, that the light emerges from the canvas itself !

20

One of the similarités with my other profession as an actress is that once the curtain has fallen , the painting has been signed, the show continues its voyage in the world of the public, with their own intimate feelings. They are free to create their own show, their own painting.

M

y painting is a continuity of contemporary and modern masters, abstract expressionism and cloisonnism, and has a universal character.

My work reflects a plastic modernity built with great rigor and reveals a great sensitivity and a constant pictorial concern. The painting transports us by its luminosity and happiness. All in simplicity and color, I like to highlight the emotion attached to the small and great joys of life.

Being concerned with the problems of space, monotony, color and texture, gestualism is the first step of a painting, a dynamic and spontaneous method, which allows me to build a canvas of lines and shapes with its own meaning and flow. This approach arouses emotion by the abundance of lines and colors.

Separating colors reflects my way of breaking the tradition of painting objects as we usually see them. The discernible forms are deformed in rhythmic movement and the result of the graphics is at the same time fluid, misshapen and organized.

In line with current painters, I also aspire to create complex images where each cell is filled with colors.

I evoke in my work the aesthetics of the comic strip with black outlines, flat areas of color supported and stylized, which comes from an illustrative tradition. The play of shadows and lights add a living and realistic depth to the illustrations.

My paintings/comics suggest stories, characters, portraits, landscapes, seascapes and everyday objects that balances harmoniously as a ballet.

T

erry Laakso was born in Turku in 1965. Today he is a respected, new selfdeveloped sea-mixed-sand style artist. Terry developed an art style in Spain, using genuine, carefully screened Atlantic ocean sand in his oil paintings.

He hardens the sand for artwork, a recipe that he has developed, with ingredients from Lapland ( Finland ) and Spain. Terry Laakso is an experienced and recognized artist. He learned the basic skills of setting painting as a student of the famous Jan Palmu (brother of Juhani Palmu), but already in the late 1980s he painted according to his own technique.

At an early stage, Terry Laakso focused on settlements that sprang from history, saturation and love. In the 1990s, Terry Laakso first moved to Spain and then to Mexico. These cultures were visible in his work and art. The paintings by Terry Laakso, where flowers, vines and berries and glass glow with their authenticity, have aroused admiration around the world.

Terry Laakso became aware of the whole of Finland already in the late 1980s. There are several TV documents and programs about Terry Laakso.

There are also making several introducing about Terry Laakso art in newspapers. In 1993, Terry Laakso's work "Sunflowers" was requested by the Finnish State for art collections and placed in the President's office in Mäntyniemi. Terry Laakso handed over the work in November 1993.

24

In addition to painting, Terry Laakso has composed music in the 21st century and worked as a video artist. He has made video works for example. a famous Spanish flamenco dancer and producer David Morales.

TERRY LAAKSO

FINLAND

Terry Laakso painted remarkable works of art in the early 2000s Turku Castle and ships.

Something about his appreciation is also the fact that he was the sponsor of Henri karjalainen and former formula-1 world champion keke Rosberg in the formula Adac series.

At the turn of the century, Terry Laakso developed his popular naive style, his works were presented in his exhibitions all around in Finland. 2018 Terry Laakso developed a completely new art, Sea-mixed-sand painting.

These works are found in value homes, among others from China, USA, Spain and Finland. Painting and finishing the Terry SeaMix-Sand style boards takes about ten times longer than normal oil paintings, due to the technical features of the new style.

The works have undergone such a complicated manufacturing process that it is impossible to falsify them. Terry Laakso's new artworks have been certified through the French Art Certificate company. Laakso is also the only Finn whos artworks is an annual International Contemporary Artist Catalog. The catalog presents the works of 61 European top painters.

I was a child I have been interested in all kinds of artistic expressions. My training in psychology has helped me to elaborate my works. I conceive art as the most sincere expression of one's own soul and of the emotions that arise in the different moments and stages of our life.

ISABELLE FROT F

rench painter from Quebec City, I am inspired by mythological beings, angels, horses and the grandiose landscapes of Canada. With a Master’s degree with honours in Visual arts from Paris 8 University and a Certificate in university teaching from Concordia University, Montreal, I divide my time between painting and art education.

When I create, the sensations of a snowshoe trip, the gallop of a horse or the flight of an eagle over the Saint Laurent river come back to me and I let myself be overwhelmed by my emotions. My art is a vision, that of a wild and authentic nature, but also that of times past and to come, which I transpose on the canvas with fury and passion.

I like to think of painting as a bridge between man and the spiritual. I work in oil on wood panels or on canvas. Most of my works are square in format. I love classical painting and work a lot, from the initial idea to the final realization. I start with sketches from life or from personal photos, and then I prepare a model in charcoal or watercolour to shape my idea. Slowly, touch by touch, the work emerges from the chaos of the canvas.

I exhibit regularly in Quebec City, as well as in Canada and Europe. Having exhibited little in 2020-2021, I intend to make up for it next year at the "Parallax Art Fair” in London on February 2427 and, probably in April, in Toronto.

atrice Rouge as a remarkable new artist whose story is only now unfolding. Raised by French parents in Grenoble, France, Rouge's creative instincts were nurtured while attending art school as a teenager. After completing his studies, he was anxious to travel and seek his fortune abroad. First he traveled to America where he spent six months exploring the expanses of the southwest - Arizona, New Mexico, Utah - absorbing the colors of the landscape and in particular those of the Grand Canyon.

He committed those images to memory never expecting that they would one day find expression in his paintings. After leaving the U.S., he ventured to Brazil where he would embark on a career as a diamond trader. Rouge was drawn to the rich colors of Brazil, the dense jungle terrain, and the exotic grandeur of the Amazon. He was so enamored of the land that he would spend most of the next four decades living and working in Rio de Janeiro.

As time passed, Rouge became increasingly aware that there was something lacking in his life. In 2015, he decided it was time to leave the diamond trade and pursue his true calling - painting. During the course of a late evening dinner over wine at an idyllic Provençal restaurant, a friend suggested that he needed to change course in life. That was the moment Patrice realized that he needed to take up painting again as a way of reconnecting to his former passion.

This marked the creative rebirth of Patrice Rouge. Within a year, he had completed several dozen paintings, and he has since poured himself into his art with increasing urgency. His paintings are a torrential downpour of colors, the blue of the Arizona sky, the intense greens and yellows of the Brazilian diamonds, the red of its tourmalines, the gold of imperial topaz.

This May, Patrice Rouge will finally get the chance to put his life and work on display in New York. Meanwhile, he continues to spend days and nights in his atelier at a family Chateau in the French Pyrenees where he has immersed himself into creating a new series of stunningly beautiful works.

44

After a lifetime spent observing beautiful things, the artist has found his true self and is ready to make his mark on the art world.

After having thrown her emotions into vivid abstractions, she tried to pay homage to her city of heart, Bonifacio, in semi-figurative in soft and warm tones, like postcards of yesteryear. To this day, she sails with her fish ... which she crunches with lightness, elegance and sparkle.

y name is Nicolau Didier, an acrylic painter on canvas with a self-taught knife for 5 years.

For me painting is the extension of the human soul. Through my paintings, and their colors, I want to bring out the sweetness of the world and of the human being, and what surrounds it.

I realize abstract paintings, and some canvases to order, on the requested choice. I hope one day to be recognized worldwide, and to bring my works to the homes of clients who love my art, for their greatest pleasure. I think that art must be accessible to as many people as possible, at affordable prices. Very warmly Artistically

elf-taught, I have always loved drawing, painting, sculpting. Along with my role as a mother of three children and my teaching career, I was able to live my passion for oil painting (expressionism) without having, however, the possibility of doing it in a continuous way and without training. My math studies gave me the means to develop my pictorial site: https://peintrecharlet.fr/

My paintings are the expression of thoughts or feelings inspired by an event, a book, a song ...

For me, art is an opening to the world, to nature, to human beings, to society ... to humanity and a dialogue with anyone who is moved by gazing at a work.

The artist expresses an emotion nourished by what touched him, the visitor feels this emotion and appropriates it by interpreting the work in the light of his own sensitivity. It is this inexhaustible exchange that truly brings the work to life.

During each of my exhibitions, I had very rich exchanges with visitors who interpreted my paintings in unexpected and sometimes confusing ways.

I had painted a painting called "Ozone": a young boy suspended on a trapezoid in space represented humanity contemplating the earth. The buyer was a doctor, for him the gas billows represented cancer, but the child was released and went to the sky.

orn in Gevrey-Chambertin (Bourgogne), I had the good fortune to have a mother who was both a painter and costume designer. The house was always full of her art: paintings, easels, tubes of paint, and brushes were omnipresent. She bequeathed to me several of her passions, including gold-thread embroidery and painting.

A few years ago some health issues led me to use painting as a means of expression, and that is how the collection “Echoes” was born. Rediscovering a passion and a creative energy, I decided to devote myself completely to this art.

I quickly set aside my brush, because I found it frustrating not to feel the paint and canvas under my touch. I experimented with different techniques and now only paint with my hands, fingers, and fingernails, working with acrylic paint.

I paint while listening to music, and my technique is subjected to its rhythm. All my work is based on movement and a compulsion to bring colors to the fore.

I work in different formats, but it is the large canvases that bring me the most satisfaction, because the larger the canvas is, the deeper and more interesting the movement becomes. I place my canvas on the ground and move around it on my knees.

56

My painting is abstract and my creativity in sync with my emotions, that guide my movements when I work. I experience a particular pleasure when the people who look at my paintings feel my emotion. . .

FRANCE

One day, missing the pleasure of embroidering, I decided to sew tiny glass and crystal beads onto the canvas, developing the colors of the beads as I had those of my painting. I began by sewing just a few dozen beads and finished, today, with paintings that contain thousands of them (the largest having more than 35,000). For certain paintings, the beads are sewn on one by one in order to produce the desired visual effect, requiring me to spend up to seven months on a single painting! I am often asked why I subject myself to this incredibly painstaking work, when I could simply glue the pearls on. The answer is simple: my goal is to achieve the quality I seek while ensuring that the complete set of pearls will stand the test of time. Moreover, sewing the pearls on allows me to place them securely on parts of the painting that are in relief.

I enjoy, moreover, experimenting with materials that are out of the ordinary in the world of painting. I may, for instance, mix on my color palette different types of glitter, bread flour, powdered sugar, brown sugar, or sand.

I am fortunate that my work seems to be appreciated by diverse audiences. I exhibit my paintings in prestigious venues like the International Salon of Contemporary Art of the Porte de Versailles in Paris and in Monaco, at the Independent Artists Salon at the Grand Palais in Paris, at the Carrousel of the Louvre in Paris, and at the Gallery Demarez in Giverny, Art Expo Salon in New York, Spectrum Salon in Miami, Art Expo of Maison and Jardin, Art Show Paris 8, Focus Art Fair in London, Deauville, Honfleur, and other venues.

I am a member of the European Academy of Arts-France (AEAF) and of the Academic Society of Arts, Sciences, and Belles Lettres of Paris.

rancois Bianchi, observing the world and human emotions through the different nuances of Abstractionism

58

The vast and varied panorama of contemporary artistic expression represents an evolution but also a summation of the artistic movements that characterized the last century, while showing the tendency of creatives to transcend the boundaries that each current used to distinguish from the others; generating a synthesis and enrichment of the limits that have emerged, especially in cases where transformation and adaptation to different philosophies and themes had been almost impossible, belongs to contemporary artists just as much as for some of them it becomes essential to keep intact the stylistic differences that distinguish the different pictorial approaches without mixing and synthesising them but using on the basis of the message or emotion they wish to release. Today’s protagonist experiences art in the world of the abstract while needing to move to different levels of the same field to observe and narrate human emotions.

rom the need to express their emotions and brighten up with their colours the grey historical period of illness, isolation and deaths in 2020-2021, "GitanaMia" was born, which, among several emerging artists, captivated us with the fast and marked personal stamp in each of their works. Her paintings are distinguished by their striking illustrations, saturation of bright colours, the use of simple shapes, symbols with great weight of creative expression, marked outlines and points of perspective so characteristic of Naif art, but where the innocence of this art has been intervened with the strength of its content and artistic personality.

GitanaMia attracts the child by its childish style, but when analysed by an adult it shows us the great duality between the adult and the child that we are, together with the fantasy and the reality in which we fluctuate.

In our opinion, not many artists manage to unite a child and an adult in art, and even more so, in front of the same work.

It is in Guadeloupe, where I moved to in September 2017, that I developed a passion for the creation of Mandalas (healing circles) using various supports: wood, canvas, fabrics, pvc, plexiglass. To this day I can account for over 300 creations. I felt the calling of sharing my passion through art therapy workshops, teaching how to make a Mandala (to adults and children). Another way of expressing myself. I particularly love, is taking pictures using the palindrome effect (mirror effect).

n his artistic works, Ulrich Rampp develops a subtle vision of Nature, reflecting harmony and beauty at the heart of the living. Through a play of transparencies, he captures the present moment in its immediacy and lets light enter the materials to go beyond it. In perpetual research on light and space, he never stops showing what cannot be seen. Where light chases the night, where it enters quantum and unexplored dimensions, the artist works on a true alchemy of colors.

The magical colors of the French Riviera enliven the canvas space and fill it with light and color. Mixed techniques - ink, pastel and pigments combined with etheric lavender oils - associated with 24 carat gold leaves, give substance to the subtleties, further increasing their vibratory field.

The artist's works are exhibited in his personal gallery, in Tourrettes sur Loup, at the Villa l'Oustale, as well as in various renowned galleries on the French Riviera and internationally.

The Foundation he created, reflecting his commitment to protecting the environment, awards the ART & Nature prize each year to artists who are also committed to nature.

n the beginning, it was the word and text that were of most importance to me. Soon after that, painting, illustration and color became equally vital. I do not know when exactly my adventure with painting started. However, I do know that at some point, it became the path of my life, alongside working at school and serving children. I painted and drew flowers, trees, ladscapes, old wayside chapels, windmills... Then I became interested in Land Art, ecology, and symbolism in art. My works have also presented the notion of evanescence (vanitas) and I have always been fascinated by nocturne. In my art I want to express the beauty of nature. At the same time, it has been my aim to show the peril caused by the human being and civilization , which endanger our nature, natural elements and disasters the expose our pride, arrogance and abuse... The symbol of my intention is illustrated by my painting "Tree cry" (krzyk drzewa), the tree as an equivalent of absolute, an ideal, ancient being. My works are gloomy and sad, but this is the intendet effect. I dedicated my painting forms on papers (on paper are more ecological),to my students asking them:"Can art be an advocate of nature?" The students response was positive. What is more, influenced by that question they also created a variety of interesting works, which gave me a lot of satisfaction. It was the most important stage of my painting career and work at school. I hope that something will remain within my students and they will come back to our artistic reflection about protecting our planet... When my works found their way to a few international exhibitions, I was more than glad. Elżbieta Anna Brudło.

he former mainly offers paintings using ballpoint pen ink technique. Begun in 1993 with monochromes, the color has imposed itself as the work is more precise and mastered. A very inspired figurative universe has resulted.

Inspiration also comes from mythology, fantasy, surrealism, expressionism, symbolism and other artistic fields; or simply drawn from modern everyday life.

If great importance is given to drawing and composition, subjects can start from a set theme or draw towards experimentation when it comes to work on form and substance.

In the second part, among the other techniques discussed such as graphite, gouache, acrylic, oil; acrylic paint stands out. After a few revisits of old ink paintings revisited, new large compositions are currently being considered. The painting is also inspired by the previous technique with meticulous linework with recurring themes.

Finally, my training is based on a Bachelor of Fine Arts and another in Modern Letters, it is complemented by a passion for the history of art and an interest in all other artistic fields such as literature or cinema.

y name is Jordan Afonso, and I’m a young French artist living in Switzerland. Born in 1992 in the “Hauts de France”, I moved to Switzerland when I was 19.

I started my career in the F&B sector. As a cook, I discovered the pleasure of creating beautiful dishes and menus. This culinary experience was a decisive moment in my life. Over time, I realized that I could use my creativity in the kitchen, and, from that moment on, the desire to create has never left me. Indeed, cooking made me want and need to express myself through the prism of art. Therefore, the painting appeared as an obvious choice when I decided to leave the F&B sector.

For more than a year now, I have found the field where I can give free rein to my creativity and artistic expression. The practice of abstract art has become vital. Painting is like a blossoming that gives life to this inner drive through textures, colors, and shapes. More specifically, abstract art allows me to express myself freely, without limits or realistic obstacles. It is a way to represent the intangible, push back the boundaries of expression, and continuously experiment without constraint.

Today, I am delighted to share my work with you and look forward to getting your comments on my website, Instagram or Facebook.

Eclectic artist, original and with an innovative trait all wrapped in an atmosphere of Pop Art style. The use of a refined chromatic/compositional technique combined with enchanting poetic impulses, give her painting deep inner reflection. In this work is the color the real bearer of emotions and the dream of a very special encounter: What I value the most about her art is the extraordinary inner solidity that allows her to consider art as a condition and instrument of truth. Chanterax captures the beauty of color as an objective poetic act representing the feelings of her inner world and thus making her stylistic figure recognizable. Her expressiveness is of natural elegance and is combined with her extraordinary ability to confer magic and strength to let us savor and live the creative world where the emotional drive from which her inspiration comes, emerges. In her work nothing is left to chance, her work is characterized by a strong structural balance combined with the use of colors of considerable expressive scope.Stopping in front of a work of Chanterax is like having the opportunity of a magical encounter with the mystery of a visual narrative linked to our daily life and our innier most self. The vibrant force of the color; the brushstroke, the vitality, the lyricality, the energy and melody of the work are all very well cared for by the artist. A class and an superfine elegance pervade in her work in which the brilliant coloristic touch of the inspired artist is denoted, which revives the form through chromaticism and reveals her pictorial quality in the externalization of a sensitive soul, ready to grasp the diversity giving atmospheres and moods that dwell in our unconscious. The art of Chanterax understood as the transformation of visible reality into a conceptual symbolic meaning that goes beyond reality. A rare sensibility that in the expressiveness remains faithful to a clear and readable figuration. »

was born in Versailles in 1951, after successful artistic studies, I conducted a career as designer in a world leading glassware company.

Free from industrial strains, I keep on exploring personal artistic views without caring for mainstream art movement. My personal interest is in searching and developing unexplored artistic ways.

This view led me to using new technologies over the years. Modern digital tools have reached such a degree of power, accuracy and simplicity to use that they can be used by artists as commonly as a pen, a ruler or a brush. Thanks to those new technologies, I am now able to work again on a modular sculpture project I first imagined and designed in the mid-70’s, and had to let go then.

About 50 years later, I realised the concept wasn’t old fashioned. I designed the module again using a computer, in order to print it in 3 dimensions. 3D printing is the easiest and cheapest technology to produce numerous pieces of this module I called “Elisbis”.

Once assembled in sculptures, Elisbis look a lot like scientific patterns for molecular chains. It led me to see Elisbis as a depiction of those infinitely small molecules that are produced, combined, conveyed and spread out, no matter there future uncontrolled consequences on the planet.

82

Given their aesthetical interest, Elisbis have become the main support of my artistic researches. Hence, I create sculptures that are like symbolic totems of our productiondriven society.

He Starts To Paint In 2005 In Normandie, The Famous Region Which Inspired Grand Artists Such As Monet, Degas and more recently David Hockney.

Michaël Is A Self Taught Artist And He Likes To Remind That There's No Need To Have Art knowledge To know How To Look At An Art Piece And To Appreciate It. Attracted by acrylic, he completed his first painting after three days. He pays particular attention to the balance of each of his works. he said: "In each painting, a new emotion is born."

His inspiration comes from his dreams. He then tries to transcribe what he saw in his sleep. Painting an imagined scene, a desired state of mind, an imaginary character are part of his habits. All loaded in color.

Artists such as De kooning, Modigliani or Chagall have always been among the best. He admires their particular ways of approaching the silouhette and working on shades and gradients.

If the artist does not talk about purpose to be painted, he speaks above all of a certain pleasure that emanates to propose a work and then discover the emotions, the reflections with the public. To exchange on their visions of the work or art in general is a real contentment.

His approach is therefore part of the search for emotion in two stages: that of the creation of the work alone. Then the creation of emotion through its sharing with beings.

DE Artiste du Vivant, the green of elevation

The artist plays with the codes used to read the work, she never ceases to question the depth of meaning that surrounds her art, challenging viewers, who can then project themselves into what they see.

The issues relating to time, to capturing or concentrating a moment, to shifting perception and to timelessness and time suspended are ubiquitous in her work. Here, the artist shares her aesthetic philosophy close to esotericism, animism and Buddhism.

She sees the colour green as the colour at the heart of Nature, the colour of transformation, revelation and elevation. She participates in the optical abstraction of a crossing that is experienced like a pause and lets itself be perceived through the quest for someplace else, revealed through the ingredients that ODE Artiste du Vivant manages to distil in her creative processes.

Extract from “ODE Artiste du Vivant, the green of elevation” by Canoline Critiks.

ODE Artiste du Vivant was awarded the High Recognition for the Visual Arts “DAVID by Michelangelo” and the honorary title of “Magister Artis et Culturae 2021” (Honorary Associate and Contributing Member for 2021 to the Academy “Italia In Arte Nel Mondo” Academy) by the

Honorary Scientific Committee in July 2021 during the “Il RINASCIMENTO” International Art Biennale.

LEILA DENGUIR GUADELOUPE

Her painting, it's HER : her emotions, her intuitions, her unconscious… Leila Denguir is an intuitive artist.

Miscegenation between an Indian mother and a Tunisian father, she was born and grew up on the wonderful island of Guadeloupe, in the Caribbean.

Her creativity was nourished from an early age, by the stories her mother told her about invisible and fairy worlds. Leïla was very early immersed in spirituality and it’s her main source of inspiration.

Leïla’s quest for personal, professional and spiritual identity first drove her to study psychology and then, turned to energy therapy, natural medicine and ethnomedicine.

For her : mind, soul and body cannot be separated. Everything is energy and vibrations.

Travelling and painting nourishes her. She’s above all a child of the Earth, daughter of Life and loves to delight in its multitude.

Don't we say that a creative adult is a child who has survived ? Today, her pencils have gently given way to brushes through the intuitive painting that fascinates her.

She lets herself be completely guided by the superior force that is her intuition. There is therefore no prior reflection on the shape and colors of her projects. It requires a complete letting go on her part.

Facing her canvas, she has no expectations or goals. Like Life, the work takes shape on its own, gradually according to her intuitive choices (materials, colors, shapes, etc.) in the present moment.

90

Today, as an artist, Leïla likes to think of herself as working towards the development and refinement of the human soul through her creations.

Because for Leïla : Where there is art, there is magic… And, when magic operates, the soul acts… »

ith several dozen more or less qualitative creative projects, carried out or aborted over 20 years, I will describe myself as an artist of confinement 2021 who has managed to take advantage of free time to take on an artistic path compatible with who I am, a child. of the system that seeks its freedom through its creations. A frame wanting to get out of the frame, finding its rebellious soul. Often accompanied by the love of my life (alias Camille V) who actively participates, both in the design and the realization, we want to open the doors of our imagination.

Passionate about creation, graphics, image, Geek culture, but also music, women, nature, animals, fantasy, imagination and freedom; we are thirsty to see, listen, live, create and share.

The creative axis of our transgressive workshop is simple: mix, tamper with, ironize, transform, shift, shake up the concepts of universes and icons of pop culture. Pay homage to our idols, characters or creators by breaking the codes and traditions paving the way for freedom of expression (if we succeed and with no other pretension than to please you).

Our creative techniques are based on a central illustration in acrylic paint on canvas (on stretcher or mdf), enhanced with Posca, Pro marker, various markers and highlighted by multiple collages from magazines, Comics, manga, newspapers and sometimes unexpected objects (screens, LEDs, etc.).

trigger my inspiration by listening to my emotions in presence. Instinctively, I then move towards one or more colors, shapes and projected movements that I will project on the canvas.

I also enjoy recycling certain materials for processors. Seeing everything that arrives packed, and looking at all this packaging from the trash, I have the sudden urge to transform, give a second life and pervert the use of the innocuous, usual object, into an object of inspiration that can be admired, that can touch, that can live a new experience in the center of attention, he who was only useful and never noticed.

A man in his fifties, I transmit my emotions, my choices, my visions, my posture through painting and writing. A medium of inspiration and sharing.

Art is a great way to share, to offer a feeling, a way, a point of view, through the expression of shapes, colors and gestures.

It is also a cathartic vector. The catharsis to cause a "purge" of the emotions registered in our eyes, our ears, our cells, our body.

Purge the residual emotions kept safe in us in order to release the creativity that lives in us. Creativity is too often locked in and by old thought patterns, pent up feelings, engrammed and undigested emotions. Tenacious traces of affective and emotional memory that persist without our knowledge.

94

Art, for me, allows these traces of engram to be released and then leaves room for the expression of my own creativity. Expression that I share through the paintings. Like it or not, the principle of art itself.

probably should say that I am French but I prefer to say that I am from this world. Since I was a little girl whenever people ask me "where are you from?" I would answer "I am from this world". I have been living in different places, in different countries. I do speak different languages because feelings get lost in translation. Learning the language and the culture is the best way to truly understand each other.

I probably should tell you my age, but lets say that I am as young as I am old.

I am not trying to introduce myself, because all I want is for you to look at pieces of me. I am not using any particular techniques, nothing is perfect but it is not meant to be. Perfection will never be the same for any of us. So there is no need to be looking for it.

I am only using my feelings, my memories, my ideas..

Every piece will mean something different to each of us, but I hope at least one person will feel like "I am not alone, someone is as crazy / sad/ lost / happy as I am"

96

So enjoy and whatever happens in your life you are and you will never be alone.

aroline Gasch achieves the feat of making us feel good with superb photographs : urban landscapes with color and light at the center of everything. She travels to cities all over the world where she handpicks cityscapes that she shoots and scenography at different moments of the day to create a unique piece of art where the color light is at work to create a surrealistic esthetic, as if painted on canvas.

The perception of the world comes from our brains and is the result of information gathered by our senses. Then emerges from her evocative pictures undeniable sensation of proximity in the framing, freedom in the architectural lines and serenity in the color chart.

Through the lens, Caroline transposes the energy of each place she chooses into an authentic visual and pictorial force and teaches us that what surrounds us is deeper than we think we perceive.

e are in a fine arts studio a few yards away from Landrezac beach, in Morbihan, in Brittany. Chris JANO paints like seamen used to lay new seaways out on maps in old times.

Holding spalters which are wide, flat brushes he affectionates above all, he covers the canvas carving wakes in the paint, which give food for either peaceful strolling or frantic uncoordinated rushes. He carves and shapes the colour which converses with light in order to reveal the whole spectrum of so numerous shades. Whereas it is smooth, rough, still or turbulent, the artist acts as if it was a medium, making visible which is invisible, in many virgin soils eager to be explored , stepped and digged with his brushes, in which we are invited to meet and share pictural landscapes and feelings.

If for Henri Matisse, a painting should be like a cosy and comfortable armchair , be sure that for Chris JANO, it should be an inner world we are invited to discover when following the tempo of the strokes from his brushes.

I

am a qualified Fine Artist and Ceramic Designer. My work is conceptual and always relates directly to my life, if I feel it… I want to show it. From the outset it was a subconscious desire to create things in a precise and particular way, and in a specific medium.

I never overthink the meaning of the work when I start it, that allows for the true meaning to suggest itself, and alter, as necessary. Working towards a very precise visual intention is contrasted with an attitude of play and erudition.

I work in mixed media in both ceramic and fine art and am particularly interested in the mark making process from the palette knife and brush to spray paint or charcoal. The breaking down of an object and background, so that neither is more important than the other, and nothing more than sensuous marks on a surface is of growing interest.

My work normally has conceptual undertones of melancholic themes and I particularly like to work by juxtaposing somewhat romantic compositions with a sharp, peculiar and satirical edge. I enjoy working these themes through an array of mediums including oils, acrylic, pastel, clay, spray paint and charcoal.

102

My latest works are tending towards the breaking down of ‘the edge’ – I have never liked my work being forced into a ‘box’ and I look forward to continuing to break out and seeing where that leads me.

rt is crucial to awaken Belinha’s feelings, senses and emotions, as Art is the food of her soul.

She was born in Lisbon and left Portugal as a baby to live in Germany, Luxembourg, Belgium, Greece and, currently, again in Portugal. She’s a selftaught painter who only in 2005 took some short art courses in Brussels, which allowed her to discover her artistic potential and gave her the punch to express herself artistically. Actually, she draws, paints in acrylic, watercolor, and oil, paints on porcelain, as well as on silk, she sculpts and creates jewelry.

Belinha’s innate insatiable passion is magical, because it allows her to achieve creations which are the fruit of her own designs and processes. She believes that an artist expresses through his works his inner world becoming his artistic signature. For Belinha, the principal goal of Art is to touch the sensitivity of the public. This is why Art must be interpreted freely by its spectators allowing them to use their imagination, inspirations and feelings. This is one of the reasons why she creates artworks.

Also, as a creator, she thinks that it is important to find that little bit which yet remains to be discovered in Art. This is what she achieved with her invented technique “Acrylic on canvas & painted porcelain fragments”. By associating two completely distinguished materials, canvas painting together with painted porcelain fragments, she gives porcelain painting a new life, obtaining this way a contemporary and inimitable painting.

Belinha hopes you enjoy viewing her artworks as much as she enjoys creating them…

GERMANY

ut of the dark into the light

I have spent a large part of my life in various professions, including as a teacher, social pedagogue, headmistress, entrepreneur and educator of my three children. But art has always been in my heart! That's why I broke with all conventions a few years ago, quit my job and from then on did what I wanted to do - express my feelings, my thoughts and ideas with art and music. Since 2018, I have been working as a freelance artist. My deep connection to nature, animals and love of detail is reflected in my artistic work. However, I do not allow myself to be pinned down, I act with a wide variety of colors and techniques and try out everything, even to the point of creating sculptures. The paintings shown originate from the fascination of the works of the old masters, who wonderfully staged the light in the darkness. With the contrast of light and dark, I reduce the image statement to the essential, whether animal, landscape or portrait. In my other artistic work, I articulate my emotions and opinions on world events, such as climate change. In addition to my representational works, I have developed my own art form "ART in ART", in which color as the main element combines realistic painting and abstraction. Numerous small artworks are in harmony with the overall work. Soon, paintings of this series will be shown in Venice, Madrid and Paris. In Germany, I have had 7 solo exhibitions so far and have been involved in many collective exhibitions.

ARMELO ESTEBAN, Zaragoza 1963. From a very young age he lives in Medinaceli where he is soaking up the essence of being, his sculptural concerns flowing ... Where he discovers the beauty of the figurative, of the abstract, in a complementary binomial. It seems to me that it is impossible to look at an abstract work without appreciating references from the representative world, just as it is difficult to create a highly figurative work and not appreciate the abstractions it contains. That is my determination, to assume the essential construction / destruction binomial, creating metaphorical, sober but binding works.

Opening up endless radical possibilities as well as at the time of drawing a work to access existential creative thought. In the last three years this passion to express my concerns and feelings has led me to participate in international art fairs (Frankfurt, Milan, Luxembourg, Austria, Caceres ...)

To be awarded 1st prize at the XVIII Manolo Valdes International Sculpture Contest. 1st prize and medal for sculpture in the IV salon of abstract art organized by the AEPE.

2nd prize for sculpture in the international artistic contest ASkATASUNARTE 2020.

Mention of honor in the SOLO ART 2020 contest organized by the AEPE.

As well as has to be selected in 43 exhibitions throughout the national territory.
