021 started off looking a lot like 2020, but thankfully, we are seeing an increased number of ALTA members back on the courts. Our favorite facilities are also beginning to loosen restrictions on the total number of participants allowed at events. With these much-welcomed improvements, we are planning to hold the summer and fall ALTA Mixers. These mixers are fun because you get to play three, eight-game, no-ad sets with different opponents. They will be close to your level of play (e.g., B3’s will be playing against other high B players and B7’s will be playing against other low B players).
Talk to your partners now and mark your calendars. We are looking forward to seeing old and new friends out for a great day of tennis and sunny, warm weather. The next Mixed Doubles Mixer will be on Sunday, August 8 and the Senior Mixed Doubles Mixer will be held on Sunday, November 7. These are popular events and space is limited, so sign-up as soon as you receive an email from ALTA letting you know that registration is open.
