On the cover: Santiago Barnes Alcantar was eight years old when he painted this owl in our summer Fabric Painting class. Santiago is from Mexico City; he and his brother and sister participated in last summer’s program along with his cousins who live in Newton. He had a great time, and the fabric painting class with Nicole Donson was his favorite! Santi likes to color and draw. He also plays piano, is learning violin, and loves all kinds of music. He can’t wait to come back to NCE next summer and have more fun!
