Harrow Club Fundraising
Our annual Christmas cards, designed by our very own students, will be on sale from the beginning of December. This is a fundraiser for The Harrow Club, a
community organisation to assist with giving a variety of opportunities to local children during term time and during holidays.
So, keep a lookout for posters around the school and form notices advertising the sale of these!

Y10 Charity Events - for Women’s Aid
Felicity Cooper (a Year 10 Charity rep) explained why Year 10 chose Women’s Aid for their charity:
“Year10chosetosupportWomen'sAidastheircharityforthishalfterm,andeveryoneraisedmoneyand awarenessaboutthischarity . As part of their fundraising, Year 10s organised breaktime games and activities with the Junior School last week. Great fun was had by all.
Textbook Collection
Last week Books 4 Africa collected 21 boxes containing 20kg each of textbooks. 420kg in total. The collection contained old textbooks no longer used by the students in the Junior and Senior school. Each set of books had to be carefully weighed so as not to exceed the 20kg total.
Last term’s collection was delivered to a school in Nigeria. Hopefully we will not need to wait too long to find out where this current collection is sent.
CHARITY STORIES
In this section, we will celebrate NHEHS students and share their stories of volunteering beyond the school walls!
Our first guests are Lauren Clarke and Daria Gal (Y10) who are volunteering at St David’s Care Home. Founded in 1918, St David’s Home for Disabled Ex-servicemen and women is a registered charity, providing care for the elderly and rehabilitation of the physically disabled.
Below is what Lauren and Daria have to say about their volunteering experience at St David’s Care Home.
