FISHER CATS | OFF THE FIELD AND IN THE COMMUNITY • Announced an official attendance of 353,639. • In addition to 70 Eastern League home games, Northeast Delta Dental Stadium Hosted another 25,000 estimated guests for non-game day events such as high school and AAU baseball games including the NHIAA High School Baseball Championships, charity events and private functions. • Since 2004, the Fisher Cats and the Fisher Cats Foundation has provided more than $3 million in monetary and in-kind donations to nearly 3,800 non-profit organizations. • The Granite State Baseball Dinner, an annual charitable event, has generated more than $960,000 for the Children’s Hospital at DartmouthHitchcock (CHaD), the Ted Williams Museum and the Fisher Cats Foundation since 2007. This year’s event, on November 23, 2013, will push fundraising beyond $1 million. • Twelve college-bound students were awarded a total of $30,000 in college scholarships. Since 2007, the Fisher Cats Foundation has awarded $200,000 in scholarships to New Hampshire and Massachusetts students.
• More than 60,000 students in over 150 New Hampshire and Massachusetts schools received bookmarks during the 2012-2013 school year for the Fisher Cats Reading Challenge now presented by Velcro USA Inc. Over the last three years, $15,000 was awarded to schools that had one-hundred percent student participation in the challenge. Since 2007, more than 230,000 bookmarks have been distributed to students across the region.
FISHER CATS | ON THE FIELD • Five former Fisher Cats made their MLB debut during the 2013 season. In ten years, 68 players have advanced to the major leagues. • New Hampshire native Kevin Nolan became the first Granite Stater to suit up for the Fisher Cats, ranking second on the club with 24 doubles and third with 60 RBI. • Pitcher Marcus Walden tossed 162.1 innings, the most in the Eastern League and tied for the third most in a Fisher Cats season. • Several Blue Jays players rehabbed with the Fisher Cats including INF Brett Lawrie, OF Melky Cabrera, and RHP and former Fisher Cat Drew Hutchison.
