ACADEMIC and CAREER EXPLORATION

PROGRAM FOR UNDECLARED STUDENTS

A Powerful Educational Experience

If you’re excited about going to college but unsure what your academic path will be, Niagara University has you covered with its Academic and Career Exploration program. Designed exclusively for students without a declared major, the Academic and Career Exploration program aligns the interests and talents of undecided students with potential fields of study and career paths.

The Academic and Career Exploration program provides students with a personal advisor that helps them research NU’s more than 80 majors and 60 minors, along with related careers. Students also develop a four-year plan with their advisor so that they can sample classes and still know exactly how to stay on track to graduate on time.

This designated program delivers structured support for a unique population, giving both students and parents confidence that Niagara University remains a sound investment in educational, emotional, and career development.

A Cutting-Edge Curriculum

This program supports students with a structured academic path, whether they enter college without a declared major, or change their mind. Through one-on-one advisement and targeted exposure to NU’s academic offerings, students make informed decisions that are in line with their interests, aptitudes, and career aspirations. The university’s Gacioch Center for Career and Professional Development provides additional opportunities for students, such as career fairs and related events, to fast-track them for post-graduate success.

PLACEMENT

Ninety-two percent of Niagara University seniors will graduate in the declared major (or a related major) they chose through the Academic and Career Exploration program.

MENTORSHIP

Students benefit from individualized and personalized advisement, and a supportive environment that encourages knowledge and self-discovery.

AFFORDABILITY

Students stay on a fouryear graduation track, saving time and money. NU offers generous meritbased scholarships, awards, and grants to qualifying first-year students.
