It’s about what each student can take away from this research experience. They participate in solving real-world problems. They grow into themselves, become confident, and learn through the excitement of discovery. It’s a privilege for me to participate in the development of a new scientist.”

Between 15-20% of NU’s freshman class participate in our nationally recognized Academic and Career Exploration program, designed for students looking to pair the right major with relevant professional experiences and career pathways.
Niagara University’s accelerated programs allow undergraduate students to take graduate-level courses that count toward their bachelor’s and master’s degrees at NU. Students can begin taking graduate coursework before officially starting a graduate degree and even pursue a graduate degree that differs from their undergraduate major.
We also have a 3+1 accelerated accounting program, and a 3+3 pre-law track where Niagara students can complete their studies at the University at Buffalo or St. John University to graduate with a law degree one year early.
ACCELERATED MASTER’S OFFER
• Easier transition: The program allows students to start taking graduate courses during their senior year. You can even apply during your junior year with approval from your department.
• Shortened timeframe: Students can obtain an undergraduate and a graduate degree in much less time than it takes to complete separate degrees.
• Lower costs: Graduate-level courses taken as an undergraduate are paid for through the undergraduate block tuition rate.

My classes and professors really laid the groundwork for me to get an internship at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester, N.Y. They’ve helped with the transition from classwork to hands-on work. You can really see how the things they teach in textbooks and in the Sim Lab translate to helping actual people in a hospital.”
