A Cutting-Edge Curriculum

Supply Chain courses are at the center of your educational journey. Courses will cover warehousing, transportation, purchasing, lean operations, global supply chain, and “farm to table” food supply chains.

Your student journey culminates with an emphasis on case studies and internships to gain real-world experience.

As NU business students, you will also take courses in general management (finance, human resources, marketing, etc.) and in the liberal arts, developing the whole person (mind, body, heart, and soul) as you discover your best self personally and professionally.

Our flexible curriculum allows students to tailor their learning through a mix of required and elective courses in all three areas that equips our students with diverse skills needed to excel in the fast-paced, evolving world of Supply Chain Management.

PROFESSIONAL

Faculty bring a variety of academic and industry backgrounds to the classroom. Through advisement and shared experiences, students gain practical knowledge, while building a professional network.

EXPERIENTIAL LEARNING

Students typically engage in impactful activities such as site visits, on-campus speakers, internships and mentorships. This hands-on approach provides students with real-world experiences that complement their academic studies.

OPPORTUNITIES

The U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics projects a 28% growth in job opportunities for Logisticians between 2021 and 2031. This creates high demand and plenty of opportunities for skilled professionals in the field.

SUPPLY CHAIN MANAGEMENT

NU’s Holzschuh College of Business Administration created the Center for Supply Chain Excellence 20 years ago to connect our students with supply chain professionals. The Center has long-term connections with companies and organizations at the local, regional, national, and international levels, including the Institute for Supply Management (ISM).

These connections offer our students diverse opportunities to enrich their learning experiences through facility visits, study abroad programs, case competitions, guest speaker presentations, mentorships, and internships.

“Many professors in the supply chain management program have industry experience, past and present, in high-level positions throughout the supply chain industry. Students are required to think as a manager would, with active learning programs in industryleading simulations and case studies. Professors are very accessible to their students and alumni, allowing students to build relationships that last beyond graduation.”
