Early in ministry I was befriended by a Woman who would play a significant role in the direction and mission of my Women’s Movement process. This woman disguised herself as loving, resourceful, and charming. In the beginning, she would describe our friendship as “God sent.” Months would pass before I discovered that she was attempting to use me and try dismember my life and faith. The first sign was when the Senior Apostle anointed me as an Apostle. She was apparently secretly enraged that this Ordained appointment was placed upon my life. I would later learn that she would break my trust and try to injure my name by posing as me and hack into my email to send “Hate Mail” on my behalf. She was previously given access to my emails because she was thought to be well trusted and that she “loved” me. This was just the beginning. She was sending Slanderous messages to the “women of the church”, where we attended together and which I received my Apostle distinction, as if they were coming directly from me! Then, she would go to the church’s senior leadership professing that I was sending these email messages to the “women of the church” causing her to be afraid and threatened by what Untold Chronicles | 18

I was supposedly making towards her. I would later be brought into a meeting with Senior leaders to address these allegations. I was devastated to say the least, but I appeared ready to defend my name and my Spiritual gifts. She nor any other leader was ready for all the information I was armed with. I was shown through the holy spirit the moves of disenfranchisement coming from the devil but the Holy Spirit also equip me with the tools to elude this attempt to slander my name. Prior to coming into the meeting, I discovered her evil plot and that gave me all the ammunition to protect myself, my spiritual gifts and my integrity. The information not only exposed her evil acts, it under covered several of the key leaders’ secrets as well. My information and anointing were so accurate that I was exonerated! Years later this experience would lead me to not trusting “Church Folk.” I would eventually get over the experience by focusing on the Promises of God for my Life. Joshua 1:9 (“Have I not commanded you? Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go.”) which would be the scripture I would stand on to move forward.

That part took a little while but what I found in the beginning was the drive to want change made all the difference in the world. The feeling was not the same as when the thought was just a thought, now action was a part of the equation and momentum was starting to build which let me to my purpose. My purpose made focus a focal point on the road ahead and it made the why I was doing what I was doing, clearer. Tanty Freeman II Testimony of Success “How my accident catypulted me into becoming an award winning Producer / Songwriter.” Tanty Augusta (Gus) Freeman II was born to Tanty and Betty Freeman on May 7, 1984 in Wilmington, NC. He was raised in the small town of Bolton, North Carolina, west of Wilmington by about 30 miles. At the age of 7 he began taking piano lessons, which in turn enabled him to begin songwriting during these years. His style of writing was unconventional and yet extremely effective. Gus had a special gift of portraying emotions through storytelling that could identify with any reader. Within the next few years, at the age of 10, he played his first song on the drums. From that time on he has traveled to various places, using his gift of music to minister. During his middle school and high school years, he also became a member of the all-county chorus and band. Performing during the Celebration Of Arts along with surrounding schools. As time went on, Tanty (Gus) began to develop a unique sound in his playing that centered around worship and the more this sound developed through him, it became evident that he flowed prophetically in music. Tanty (Gus) began giving free music lessons to anyone that had an interest to play music within churches. Due to his passion of making sure that any church body in need had active musicians that played by the leading of the Holy Spirit. He began teaching musicians how to play prophetically, with the focal point being, teaching them that the gift of exhortation began and ends with God and that Jesus should always be the foundation. His approach of less is more, can be heard through his playing. By the age of 27,

he was elevated to the poisition of Minister of Music at his home church, Community Prayer House, of Bolton, NC, where his father Tanty Freeman is the Pastor. Shortly after stepping into this position, Tanty (Gus) was contacted about an opportunity to open at a concert for gospel recording artist Lucinda Moore. This experience of being on stage for the first time marked such a place of significance in his life, that it would perpetuate him to begin his new journey of recording at the age of 29. Over the next 4 years, every obstacle imaginable would spring up to divert his mission of recording and releasing his first song. However, the Holy Spirit would lead Tanty (Gus) on phase 2 of this journey by teaching him a new language on how to record, mix and master. Solely depending on His (the Holy Spirits) leading. On May 1, 2017 the recording process begins. Within a period of 8 months, on January 26, 2018, the song entitled “I Am” was completed and released to the public. During this time, Tanty (Gus) also founded his recording studio where his single “I Am” was recorded. Tanty (Gus) recently was nominated for Producer/Songwriter of the Year at the 4th Annual Steeple Awards in Atlanta, Georgia. While his Journey has only begun to move unhindered, his passion will always remain in equipping of the body of Christ by ultimately teaching to edify God through not only the gift of exhortation. The equipping is not just to be limited to the gift of exhortation (music) but in all ways. Untold Chronicles | 29

M

y story of a journey into writing songs and music began through my involvement in a car accident in which I was rear ended. After waiting sometime that evening, the gentleman and I began talking while the state trooper checked our information. I learned from him that he was an Apostle and he learned that I was the minister of music for my church. About a month or so passed before I would see him again. It was on a Sunday morning that my life would be altered by a prophetic utterance coming from that Apostle. He walked in my home church with his family. They sat mid-ways in the congregation. During the visitors greeting, he stood and introduced himself and how he heard about the ministry. My pastor who is also my father invited him into the pulpit after learning of the office he walked in. Once asked if the Apostle had anything to say, he stood and spoke a word to the house. This word was in season and confirmation to the house. He then turned and looked at me and uttered these words, “You are going to write songs to the nations. It’s part of the office that you walk in. You are called to the nations.” This utterance changed my life and direction in which I was going. From that day forward it would be a journey and process of things I couldn’t imagine encountering. Although I had written a few songs in my earlier years, I viewed them as being a hobby rather than being called to do it. But this was different. I now had a desire to fulfill this in my life. The very first song I wrote after that day was a song, at the time I didn’t know that I wasn’t supposed to record. I began doing the ground work of scheduling

studio time. The very first studio I went to I left with a sense of fulfillment only for the Lord to block that path. So I began searching in other areas to book studio time to get this life rolling. As time passed nothing seemed to be lining up. I had the prophecies coming in groves. I was putting in the work. Why were things not happening? I began to question my perception of the prophetic word, God’s plan and His promises. By this time a couple years had gone by and my many attempts to go to school for audio engineering left me standing at a dead end cliff. I started losing hope in this path. Slowly I stopped putting in the work. Discouragement is deadly. On September 17, 2014 at approximately 9:17 am, I was at work in my area finishing my assignment of washing out a 50 gallon drum that at one time held chemicals. I remember making the choice to wait until 9:30 am to take my morning break because I only had a total of 4 more waste drums to wash out. Little did I know that at 9:18 am, I would be under the emergency shower washing off chemicals and burn marks from being involved in an explosion. It all happened extremely fast. So fast indeed that when the explosion was over, I was still standing in the exact same position I was in when the drum and other chemicals around exploded. The fire was so intense that there was an outline of my undershirt temporarily tattooed onto my body. The hand of God was on me that day. The force of the explosion was felt over a mile away. The miracle of it was that the force never moved me a fraction of an inch away from the blast site. I was still in one piece while some things around

me were in many pieces. I spent a week in the burn center in Chapel Hill, NC recovering. I received 2nd and 3rd degree burns to my forearms and flash to the left side of my face. It was there in the bed that the Lord revealed to me my purpose. A part of the purpose was writing music to the nations. It was confirmed when I looked at my arms and realized that the burn marks on both arms actually started 5 inches up from my hands. My hands however, were touching the drum when it exploded and yet they had no scars, discoloring. They were untouched!! At that moment I accepted my scars to my arms as war scars in this spiritual war. My face healed completely in 2 days. When the healing process was complete I got back to work. Not just on music but spiritual growth and closeness with the Holy Spirit. One day after leaving the barbershop, the Lord gave me a song while I was driving home. I went to the church and wrote down the lyrics and went over the music. Untold Chronicles | 32

That night for praise team rehearsal we practiced the song. The following Sunday was the day for t h e

test run. To my amazement, I saw the Lord move through that sanctuary like never before. That did something to my spirit. Excitement flowed through me like never before. Fulfillment came not in the song being made manifest and not being recorded. Jesus was teaching me a very valuable lesson in obedience, perspective and success. There was also an activation happening right within the praise team. Other members began bringing me songs that they had written and wanted me to arrange them, compose music etc. I began to do so and within a few weeks, we began singing their written songs. “Psalms 96:1 Sing unto the Lord a new song: sing unto the Lord, all the earth”, a simple act of obedience to this scripture brought into play exhortation. A year has passed and still no recordings. The spirit of discouragement and doubt were attacking my mind again. Doing their best to get me back into being idle with the responsibilities charged to my hands. The Lord spoke to me one night while lying in the bed and said, “Get online and purchase a computer for recording. I’m going to teach you how to record songs.” I did research for a few days on computers and also had a trusted cousin to tackle this with me. Finally a computer was chosen and the recording journey began. I had no prior knowledge of recording, mixing, mastering. This was entirely new language to me. I started out with a computer, a single mic, duo interface, monitors and my keyboard. A few months had passed and a Hammond XK-3 organ was introduced to my starter studio. This Hammond was very special because I had been praying for a Hammond for over 15 years. This particular one I

had my eye on especially because I could transport it if needed to various locations. It was only 3 months old when purchased and was given to me at a much cheaper price. The only hold up I had was that all of this stuff couldn’t fit in my room at my parents’ home. Yes, it was time to go. I had a drum set that I needed to setup for the studio and needed the right place. I found a home that was actually about to go up for sale. I was blessed by the generosity of the owner that held off from placing it on the market for sale. I had been seeking the Lord for a place of residence that He would lead me to. In walking through the residence we came to the third room of the house. The exact moment I steeped across the threshold of the door I felt the Holy Spirit in that room. I looked at the landlord and said to her, “this is the house.” Shortly after I began to see the Lord establish my studio right before my eyes in what I can only call, a miracle. Generous people that I barely knew began sowing money, brand new equipment into my life for the studio. Everything from a mixer, drum mics, condensers, acoustic padding, paintings furnishings. Everything was being supplied without asking and without having to express the need for certain equipment.

From May 4, 2017-December 3, 2017, the recording process took place. The Holy Spirit began teaching me the recording process, mixing and mastering. I must admit it was trying at times, but I was determined because He was the only one willing to spend time with me to teach me. 10-13 hours driving on the road all day with a job Untold Chronicles | 33

at FedEx can be exhausting at times. I had an assignment to fulfill nevertheless. After getting home from work I would spend 2-3 hours learning, editing. Every night I would load the song onto my phone to listen to throughout the day to train my ears. Little things would catch my attention. The things that stood out, I would correct when I got back into the studio that night after work. This continued until December 3. That day was the last day of my father’s pastor’s appreciation. I was determined that I would have that song in his hand as a gift. My parents were my biggest supporters throughout all of this. I knew it would shock them to see that it was done. Being that I kept quiet about the timeline of when I wanted to finish things up. That morning I got up at 3:00 am to finish final editing and mastering. My prayer was, “Holy Spirit you’ve helped me this far. Help me finish this before 8:00.” Between 7am-7:30 am that morning, I remember hearing the Holy Spirit say, “It’s finished.” That morning I handed them the finished version of the song “I Am” To watch as my father almost cried behind my accomplishments, did something to me. to die. I was a songwriter. The definition for success that day meant something different for me than for others who are successful in all they accomplish. Success to me that day meant to fulfill the desires of God’s heart, that He placed in my heart to do. January 26, 2018 the song was released to the public and began to spread rapidly. On April 27, 2019 I was honored to have been a nominee for Producer/Songwriter of the Year at the 4th Annual Steeple Awards show, held in Atlanta, GA. In all of this time relationships have been tested and divided. This song alone has exposed so much around me and even in me. The process of this has brought about growth, spiritual more than anything along with knowledge of music, direction and purpose. The Lord has taught me, that all along it was bigger than music. It was about souls and reconciliation of the world back to God. When the Days Get Long the Sky Becomes Cloudy

By: Gerald B. Colson

What happens when the days get long and the sky becomes cloudy? Too some they may think rain is on the way. Other may believe hard times are ahead. Still other may believe they are losing their way. What do you believe? Well I can’t speak for other I can only speak for myself because of my own experiences and the things I’ve seen. As I’m writing this it is article and I noticed today that I have not written anything. Why? To be totally honest I had lost focus for a time being. I got busy in being busy and stop pursuing what was my passion. We all have to strike a balance in a our lives between following our dreams and trying to live. I just have to stop and ask myself what do I really want out of life to live or just survive. I choose to live and not to just survive. For me to just survive means to just get by, barely having enough, hoping the other shoe doesn’t drop and praying your day will finally come. On the other hand to live means to continue to strive for improvement, continue to pursue after your dreams even if they seem impossible and never giving up. To live is to enjoy everyday no matter if it Monday or Friday, Pouring Down Rain or Clear Blue Skies and where I got No Money or A Bank Account Over Flowing. I choose to believe that my present day circumstances are not permanent and will change. My past will not prevent my tomorrow. I believe that My God will continue to led and guide me as long as I’m willing to follow. So I choose to live. Now, will I fall, stumble, make mistakes or have bad things happen to me that are no fault of mine. Sure, we all will after all I’m only human. So when I say I lost my focus for a time being yes, I got down on myself and upset with myself, but I didn’t give up on myself. I know me better than anyone else beside God. I know what my dreams are and the visions I have been given. I know the promises that have been made to me and I know the reward that awaits me for continuing on. I never said the Road To Success was a short one or even a straight one. My path to success will be different from anyone else’s but I’m willing to travel it “When the days get long and the sky becomes cloudy.” Stay Encourcaged and Be Blessed I’ll See You On The Road To Success. Prophetic words for the soul The Rain is Coming! By Becky Porter

There is an abundance of rain that is coming, so position yourselves and get ready, for I am about to pour My miracles, My blessings, My breakthrough, My favor and My harvest into your lives in ways that will FAR exceed anything you have previously experienced before! I am getting ready to unlock and unleash My fountain of blessings in your lives in unprecedented ways! There is a tsunami of blessings that is getting ready to be poured forth into your lives! You have been in the school of My Spirit for many, many years now - I have been training, equipping and preparing each of you for the works that I have called you to do. Many of you have been “waiting in the wings” for many years now, and you have felt like you have been in a drought season of your life on the back side of the desert, waiting for your time of release. I have used this time in your lives to train, equip and prepare you for all that I have called you to do. Not a moment of this time has been wasted – it is in fact time that has Untold Chronicles | 40

been very well spent, for you are not the same person you once were. I have used this time to equip you and give you wisdom you did not formerly possess. I have used this time to bring healing and restoration to your lives, and most importantly, I have used this time to bring you into a whole new level of union and intimacy with Me. In the midst of your difficult situations and circumstances, you came to know Me in ways that you never could have known Me if you had not experienced the things that you have. You needed to see Me prove Myself faithful to you in the most difficult of circumstances to dispel the very painful experiences you have had in the past with people in positions of authority that you thought you could trust. I have now become the One that you fully trust and rely upon, no matter what situations may arise. Continue on the path that I have set before you. Continue to surrender to Me and to obey Me in all things, and continue to press into Me in intimacy and worship. There is both a positioning and a launching by My Spirit that is going to occur, and it will happen when you least expect it – GRADUATION QUICKLY APPROACHES!

You have a destiny to fulfill – It is a destiny that is My perfect will. Though the storms of life may come and go, There is one thing that I want you to know – I AM FAITHFUL. Yes, I AM FAITHFUL! I have never let you down, and I never will. I have seen you through each valley, And together, we have climbed every hill. We now rule and reign together In a place of oneness and intimacy, And you now know who you are in Me And you walk in My authority, For I have given you the Key! The Lord brought this song to mind by Mark Altrogge:

I Have a Destiny I have a destiny I know I shall fulfill. I have a destiny in that city on a hill. I have a destiny, and it’s not an empty wish For I know I was born for such a time as this. Long before the ages You predestined me To walk in all the works You have prepared for me. You’ve given me a part to play in history To help prepare a Bride for eternity. I did not choose You, but You have chosen me And appointed me for bearing fruit abundantly. I know You will complete the work begun in me By the power of Your Spirit working mightily

Scriptures to keep in mind 1 Kings 18:41 NKJV Then Elijah said to Ahab, “Go up, eat and drink; for there is the sound of abundance of rain.” Psalm 37:23 NIV The Lord makes firm the steps of the one who delights in Him. Lamentations 3:22-23 ESV The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; His mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.
