those the church has given up on. She has a strong love and compassion for these types of people; she understands that deep feeling of rejection all too well. At one point, it was her. Her mission is to engage the millennial with uncommon practices in ministry that actually appeal to them. She then equips them with The Word of the God and all the necessary armor that they need for today’s battles. Finally, she sends them forth, empowered that they may bring others into the Kingdom of God.

Starting over is a option, contrarily to what others say. Acknowledge your past, where you’ve been, the things you have done, the mistakes you have made and understand they DO NOT DEFINE YOU! Pick yourself up, wear it all as a badge of honor, knowing you are a survivor, you are a conqueror, you are a child of God and when it all is said and done, His opinion is the ONLY one that matters.

Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of good courage: be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the Lord thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest. (Joshua 1:9). When the Spirit of the Lord dropped this scripture in my spirit and I began to read it, it was as if HE was spiritually shaking HIS finger at me as if HE were scolding me. Prior to this I sat devastated at the loss of family to this virus. The world out of control with killings of maybe not so innocent people but, yet their crimes did not warrant death, yet they were killed. And I began to fear, worry, get anxious about everything and wonder why am I even trying to wait on him or HIM. HIM (Jesus) do not seem to be coming to my NOW rescue, and my time seems to be running out! Maybe I need to open my contact list and go back to one of my Ex’s or should I just hang in there with a relationship I KNOW is not working? Maybe this is the best it is going to get for me. As I keep marking the days that we are in I at times feel as though I am fading into a black hole of non-existence fearing that this is IT! SINGLENESS foreverrrr… Lord Help ME! When I sought the Lord for direction, He revealed to me the instructions He gave to Joshua to enter the Promised Land (Josh. 1:1–9). Joshua himself faced bouts of fear as we all do. After the death of Moses, the Lord gave Joshua the assignment of leading His people into an unknown land that was said to be inhabited by giants. As if that weren’t scary enough, they would have to cross the Jordan River during flood season. This would mean they would have to enter the water that was over their heads. With all the things that Joshua was facing I can pretty much guess that he was feeling a lot of what I was feeling. Just because we know Jesus does not mean we will not have bouts of fear it’s just that we know our way out of the fear. PRAYER! The main thing that caught my attention about this scripture was: The Lord GAVE Joshua something at that moment. Joshua trusted the Lord. In trusting HIM, He handed Joshua back what he had let go of, what he had lost. God encouraged Joshua “be strong and courageous.” God never said, “feel strong and courageous.” He told him to “be.” And there is a big difference between those two words. Feeling is an emotion that will come and go. But the word “be,” is something you take possession of, means to “occupy.” God told Joshua hey look dude you got to make the

decision to have courage, despite the circumstances or your feelings. I am standing on this scripture throughout this time. This scripture really settled in my spirit. And as I grow through these times, I’m taking to heart these words God spoke as if HE spoke them straight to me while shaking HIS finger at me. Are you having bouts of worry or fear that you will never find her or that he will not find you? Do not wait until you feel strong and courageous make the choice to BE strong and Courageous. When you are facing any battle big or small, remember it is essential to keep God’s Word coming out of your mouth and to stay strong and courageous. PRAYER I break-off, dismantle every evil diabolical assignment of the enemy from your life and that of your family and offspring right now in the name of Jesus trying to capsize, derail, detain, stop, kill, terrorize, make crazy/lazy, frustrate, or cause you to miscarry your assignment in the Name of Jesus. In the name of Jesus, I break off and cancel any evil force that is trying to capitalize off your destiny by stealing your rights by false pretenses. I cancel it right now I commanding that it be burned up and die by Holy Ghost fire right now in the Mighty Name of Jesus… Sweet Holy Spirit come Sweet Holy Spirit come, Sweet Holy Spirit COME! Have Your Way through every willing reader and I stand in agreement for their Victory, In Jesus Name. Amen Favored!

20 Questions with Lovelace Lee III
20
1. What is your name?
I was born Lovelace Lee III, in Chicago. My parents were Lovelace Lee Jr. and Mary L. Lee (Emerson). They were both college-educated and became teachers early in their careers.
2. What do you think you got from your parents?
My father gave me my name, work ethic, and the belief that I could do anything to which I applied myself. My mother gave me my artist bents and an appreciation for the arts.
Q
3. Who are you professionally at this point in your life? How old are you? I’m a 64-year-old Hollywood-trained film and TV producer.
4. What exactly is a producer?
ue
The producer is the manager of a project. He or she is responsible for the entire project or just aspects of the project. In my capacity as a producer, I create the project, write it, and can direct as well.
5. Can you please give us an example?
Of course. For the film AROUND THE BED released in 2018, I served as screenwriter and director. For the upcoming film TOO YOUNG, I built and served as lead writer of the writing team. I plan to serve as producer and director.
12. How do you overcome disappointment?
I don’t know that I have. I just keep my head down and keep working.
13. What’s your dream?
That’s simple. I’m trusting God for a deal with a major streaming provider to produce my body of work and put people to work. I have many screenplays and TV shows that I’ve written.
14. What else have you written?
My unpublished works include the novel “Just Doing His Job” and the children’s book “A Spider Takes a Tissue.” My memoir about raising my son “With My Boy” was published as an ebook through Amazon in 2017.
st
6. How has your faith served you in the entertainment business? How have you served God? I trusted God for a better opportunity when I turned down a six-figure job in the adult film industry. The faith-based screenplays TOO YOUNG and GOD’S MONEY were written to give God glory on the big screen and lead people to accept Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior.
7. What’s the most important thing you’ve done in entertainment?
Easily the most important thing I’ve done in entertainment is creating a way for others to enter the business. This was done when I created the Beginning Screenwriting with Lovelace Lee III Workshop. In just six hours, I can teach anyone who can read the mechanics of writing their first 90-page screenplay. It’s my calling to teach, inspire, motivate and equip people to become screenwriters.
8. How did you come to create your Workshop?
moving on to managing the school-based marketing firm that launched Boyz II Men. I expected my next position to be as an executive, too. That wasn’t to be the case. I became a hotel doorman and for a minute, was angry at God. Not out of pride, but just disappointment. Little did I know that God was setting me up for future success. I was busting my butt and being disrespected, but at the same time, I was learning to be humble. Real humility touches God’s heart. I met hundreds of Hollywood’s elite: Penny Marshall, Saul Zaentz, Danny DeVito, Clint Eastwood, Liza Minnelli, and Ving Rhames to name a few. I talked to anyone who would talk to me. Some didn’t. Some did. About 50 of them encouraged me and taught me things that I’m still using today. That experience was my film school. Praise God!
In November 2016, I was returning home to Chicago to care for my ailing mother. The Holy Spirit said to me, “I want you to teach My people how to tell their stories.” I was dumbfounded but my immediate answer was, “Yes Lord!” The Beginning Screenwriting with Lovelace Lee III Workshop was created from my obedience and experience as an Army instructor.
9. What aspect of your work gives you the most pride?
Several actually. I teach people how to write their first screenplay, create opportunities for others in entertainment, write powerful roles for women and will go anywhere to make a film that gives God glory.
15. What’s your COVID-19 story?
My production team and I were prepared to move into preproduction on an urban drama that I had written last year titled HOME SWEET HOME. The pandemic hit in February and like every other production, we were sidelined. My take-away is that delayed does not mean denied. I’m writing a new screenplay that will require a much smaller team to produce. We’ll wait this out and continue to trust God.
io
16. Have you experienced any miracles in your life?
Yes, I have. I directed my first feature film while living in a homeless shelter. It was by the grace of God.

I’d say the most challenging thing I’ve dealt with during this pandemic, is coming up with creative ways to still work safely as it relates to the studio aspect of recording and production. It’s been a blessing that the work for me hasn’t slowed since the pandemic hit, however, I’ve had to change how I go about my process in production and recording to remain within the guidelines of social distancing. I’ve had to locate
of-town clients, I’ve had to get very creative by doing zoom sessions due to travel restrictions. So that’s been a bit of a challenge. • Give your perspective on the impact that it has had on your community. I think that the pandemic has impacted the music community, but I believe it has, in a somewhat positive way. The fact that we’ve had to be home, has allowed people the time to be more creative and I feel that songs to help us through this rough time, are being birthed through the music community. • What is your platform and how are you using it to uplift the people during this time of need? I feel that God has given me a platform as a music producer/songwriter to bring encouragement

For my out- and encouragement, is my main focus always! So I look to create content that will help people look forward to what is to come instead of what is currently. • Influences? My biggest influences are my parents. At a very early age, they saw the gift that God placed in me and began to invest in my gift. They purchased several different instruments for me, from drum sets to keyboards to bass guitars, etc. The Lord and my parents are the main reason I’m able to do what I do today. • Do you believe COVID-19 will become a part of the “norm” or will it eventually fade away? Nothing lasts forever, so I do believe that Covid-19 will eventually fade away if we continue to abide by the guidelines that have been set for us.
• What is next? Well, I’m excited to announce that two of the National Gospel Artists that I’m working with, has released their EP’s!! Uncle G Records & Billboard Charting artists, Dr. James Mable, Jr. & Keyla Richardson’s new music is surely to encourage everyone! I’m super excited to be a part of both awesome projects! RED FLAGS OF ABUSE
Domestic violence encompasses a continuum of behaviors that abusers use to control victims. In the earlier part of my journey through Domestic Violence I missed a lot of red flags. I have gotten up close and personal with them since. Through my own study and research, I have been enlightened and educated on what red flags are. The following list includes warning signs that someone may be abusive. If you or a friend experience these behaviors from a partner, remember it is not your fault and there are advocates waiting to help. “Red flags” include but are not limited to someone who: • Wants to move too quickly into the relationship. • Early in the relationship compliments you constantly and it seems “too good to be true.” • Wants you all to him- or herself; insists that you stop spending time with your friends or family. • Insists that you stop participating in hobbies or activities, quit school, or quit your job. • Does not honor the boundaries you have set. Is excessively jealous and accuses you of being unfaithful. • Wants to know where you are all of the time and calls frequently, emails, and texts you throughout the day. • Criticizes or puts you down; says you are
19
IAMJUSTL ADYJOY@GMAIL.COM
crazy, dumb, stupid, fat/unattractive, or that no one else would ever want you. • Takes no responsibility for his or her behavior and blames others. • Has a history of abusing others. • Blames the entire failure of previous relationships on his or her former partner; for example, “My ex-wife was all the way crazy.” • Controls the money and tells you what you can and cannot buy. • Explodes out of control with you but can maintain composure around others. Abuse is never the fault of the victim and it can be hard for many reasons, including safety, to leave the relationship. If you experience these “red flags,” you can confide in a friend or reach out for support from a domestic violence advocate, like myself. If you believe a friend or relative is being abused, offer your nonjudgmental support and help.

Marriage Matters By Apostle Johnnie & Toni Foster
WHY ARE HUSBANDS NOT IN CHURCH LIKE THEIR WIVES? Many couples attend church, and some were even raised in church. However, some wives struggle with the fact that their husbands are not attending nor interested in going to church. Although church is a place where the family can grow together and fellowship with others of like faith; many wives are longing for their spouse to take the initiative and lead their family to church. Many wives want to have a God-fearing household and train up their children to have a relationship with Jesus Christ. Many women find it hard for their sons to attend church, because their fathers do not want to attend. So, let us look at a few reasons why some men do not attend church. 1. Because they do not believe in God. Some women marry men without discussing their beliefs and then suffer the consequences for it. Scripture states in 2 Corinthians 6:14, “believers are not to be unequally yoked with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness.” As a believer, we grow from glory to glory and faith to faith. As we grow, we also change. The things we used to accept no longer become acceptable. This can cause all kinds of problems within a relationship and even at times divorce. 2. Pride will not allow them to submit themselves to another man. Some feel they already deal with others in authority on a day-to-day basis. So why submit to a man who has been placed as the authority in the church. Some do not understand church order and have a hard time listening to someone telling them how they should live or run their household. This is how godly instruction is viewed, as man’s instruction instead of God’s. 3. Some do not want a woman in authority to be their leader. Some feel as though having a woman in authority as their leader makes them feel emasculated. One thing a man is not trying to give up is his manhood.
23
4. They would rather stay home and watch sports on their day off. 5. Some men believe the church is just a good place to hook up with a woman, especially since many churches are filled with women. So, they believe it is more of a club then a church. 6. Some women tell their spouses about all the ungodly business that is going on in the church. This causes him to say there is nothing but hypocrisy in the church and leads him to feel I have no need for church. Many have forgotten, the church is a place full of sinners saved by grace. This means that we do not have it all together but are striving to live holy and sanctified lives. Sadly, our churches are full of women and children but lacking the men God has identified as head of household. You may ask, what can I do to get my spouse to want to go to church? Scripture tells us in 1 Corinthians 7:14, “For the unbelieving husband has been sanctified through his wife, and the unbelieving wife has been sanctified through her believing husband. Otherwise, your children would be unclean, but as it is, they are holy.” Also in 1 Peter 3:1, “Wives, in the same way submit yourselves to your own husbands so that, if any of them do not believe the word, they may be won over without words by the behavior of their wives.” No need to worry, just trust God and His word. Win your spouse over by your actions, words and your love. Allow them to see the change God has made in your life. Let them see the joy of the Lord working in you. Prayerfully this will draw them in.

How to Help Your Children Build Their Credit By Tajuania Dawkins
It’s never too early to start building credit. If your child is in college or high school, now is the perfect time. Your child can land a dream job, have saved several thousand dollars, but still be unable to obtain a loan for a car or a house without a solid credit history. There are many ways to help your child build credit. A few options cost a little money, at least in the short-term. Other options are free, but carry more risk. Regardless of your situation, there are things you can do to help your child.
Assist your child to create a good credit history: 1. Get your child a secured credit card. A secured credit card appears to be just like any other credit card with one key difference: A deposit has been paid to open the account. The available credit limit is no more than the amount of the deposit. • While normal payments still have to be made, the bank offering the card is 100% covered. If your child fails to make the payment, the money is taken from the deposit. • In time, many banks will allow a secured credit card to be converted to a conventional credit card. • The deposit is returned when the card is cancelled. Keep in mind that these cards are often loaded with fees, making them expensive to use. 2. Cosign a loan. Allow your child to take out a small loan with your support. The amount doesn’t have to be large, even few hundred dollars is enough to start building a solid credit history. Just ensure that the loan is getting paid. It’s not a bad idea to keep the proceeds from the loan in your own account and make the payments yourself. 3. Use a secured loan. Your child can use a savings account as collateral for a loan. Banks love this type of loan because they’re

100% covered whether the borrower makes the payments or not. The funds in the savings account are released as the loan is paid off. • These loans are easy to acquire and work as well as any other means of building your child’s credit. 4. Add your child as an authorized user on your credit card account. This is easy to do, too. A quick call to the issuing company is all you need to do. Your child will receive their own card with their name on it (you do NOT have to give your child the card if you don’t believe they will use it responsibly. However, if you do decided to allow them access to the card. any charges they make will appear on your bill. This is good news, since you’ll be aware of their spending habits. • Remember that it’s still your account and your responsibility. If your college student flies off to Cabo for a wild weekend, you’re still as legally as responsible as your child for the bill. 5. Co-sign a credit card. Your child will have their own card, and you won’t receive the bills. How much do you trust your kid? Be careful. • As a co-signer, any failure on the part of your child will affect you, too. You can be held responsible for the bill, and your credit rating can be harmed, too. This is the riskiest option for a parent. It’s important to build a credit history before you need it. If you’ve ever had poor credit, you know how challenging it can be. It can limit your options. It’s natural to want to give your child a solid financial start by beginning the process of establishing credit before they complete high school. Investigate all of the available options and put a plan in place.
