UNTOLD CHRONICLES MAGAZINE IS ON FIRE!

Untold Chronicles showcases the difficult issues, life changing events and experiences of leaders, men and women of God that caused them to want to throw in the towel, stop going to church and for some utimately leave God. However, God has a different idea and each featured guest narrate their account of deliverance, while demonstrating to those also affected, there is a way out (solution). Untold Chronicles deals with the immensely hard issues we endure so as to offer, establish and maintain a connection with others who have similar testimonies or experiences. Through steps, sacred writings and supplications, they look to offer guidance on how to obtain, regain and restore relationships with Christ, while also learning to trust again. DR. NIA “JUST NIA” GEE Unconventional, unorthodox, and unapologetically me when it comes to ministry. She believes the Word of God as stated in Hebrews 13:8 “Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.” However, she knows that the changes in society and time mean that we must change how we convey the Word of God to this new generation. Nia’s ministry is to the downtrodden, the outcasts, and to those the church has given up on. She has a strong love and compassion for these types of people; she understands that deep feeling of rejection all too well. At one point, it was her. Her mission is to engage millennials with uncommon practices in ministry—practices that actually appeal to them. She then equips them with The Word of the God and all the necessary armor that they need for today’s battles. Finally, she sends them forth, empowered that they may bring others into the Kingdom of God. M AY 2 0 2 0 U N T O L D C H R O N I C L E S 3

D

r. Hollins is an educator with more than 20 years of experience and as a n exemplary leader she has been recognized all over the

world. She has received numer-

ous awards like Future Youth Leader for Alabama, one of Middle Georgia’s Top

Ten Female Pastors, a recipient at the Fearless 2016 Global Women’s Symposium, and Presidential Lifetime Achievement Award from President Barack Obama and The White House. The list is not exhausive yet it speaks to the high regards she is viewed outside of the pulpit. I have been led to expound on the attacks and unmentioned areas that leaders encounter and experience when trying to achieve success as well as growth within their organization as well as self . It compels me to expose the vulnerability of leadership and how to properly address circumstances as they arise. My new upcoming book, “50 Things To Break Off Your Life As A Leader”, is an initiative that was birthed after my personal experiences as a servant leader, spiritual mother, administrator and mentor for many people. The insight is based on 25 years of leading people from all sectors and from all over the globe. As an innovative woman in leadership, I always emphasize on the importance of kingdom principles and the impact of daily and productive decisions which entails effective strategies and the releasing of our words. As a global leader, I have pinpointed that integrity, accountability, transparency, flexibility, humility and honesty has steered me into prosperity and success. The success I have encountered has manifested because of the words I have accepted within my life. My philosophy and teaching as discussed in my book “100 Seeds: Conquering the Battlefield of the Mind” provides revelation about the power of thought and words of oneself. The mind is a powerful nucleus of words and thoughts as well as an invisible weapon that impacts the existence of one’s life. It can be easily overlooked and not recognized that the mind holds the plethora of wealth and wisdom, along with the keys to success and prosperity. As a midwife and empowerment specialist to the nations, I acknowledge that a thought is the substance of invisible words with an attached spirit of intent. Words and thoughts are not dangerous, but the intent determines whether it is venom or ointment. Every word released from the mouth carries a spirit to either build or destroy. Therefore, carefully selecting and guarding of our words are powerful and magnetic tools for victory that can infuse others into a successful path.

“...I acknowledge that a thought is the substance of invisible words with an attached spirit of intent...” 10

Words are seeds and thoughts are the soil that holds the seeds of words. We can allow a collection of negative words, over a period of time, to become the thought of ourselves, which turns into a field of internal suicide and social death. We can become a famine and/or drought within ourselves by not being open to receive the positive and greater of life. Therefore, a thought is only a seed that is stored in the womb of the mind that can damage and killed the unbirthed potential hid within. Every word and thought has to be handled with care and urgency because lives and souls are involved. The birth canal of words is just how the words travel from one to another(i.e. delivery), the spirit of the words is identified by the intent of why the words are delivered. Consequently, birthing and application of thoughts catapult our movement and lifestyle upon earth. Hence, we must identify that every thought carries a spirit of maturation and power. What we speak over ourselves will be the chapters that we shall fulfill within our book of life. The life we live is a symbolic result of what we have spoken to ourselves and what we have received and accepted from others. The possession of positive and empowering words is a property of self-worth that increases in value and is essential to the access of territories. This powerful literary of impartation has been created to be an easy read to increase your life with the reception of positive energy and productive seeds. Allow this reading to demonstrate to you, your true existence and purpose in life, and that is to be more than a conqueror and the unrestricted ability in achieving your goals.

UC had a few more questions for Dr. Hollins: Dr. Hollins how did you get into ministry? I always had the desire to help others to reach their fullest potential by sharing my personal experiences. I receive joy when I witness others achieving in life.

Dr. Hollins what were some of your challenges?

It has always been a challenge for me to watch someone to not see the value within themselves enough to reach higher in life. I tend to find myself trying to force someone to become better when I have to accept that they choose not give up or not strive.

Dr. Hollins what influences you?

I am always encouraged to build relationships with those who seek greater in their life. I have been privileged to embrace and work with many global leaders, too numerous to name.

Dr. Hollins what is next for you? I will continue to seek greater in this new season with my new projects, “The Deal Breaker being one of them and the new connections along with finishing up the book..

Dr. Hollins give us one piece of advice. Remember that every challenge is an opportunity to expand your growth and capacity

Dr. LaTonya Powers Dr. La Tonya Powers is a mother, pastor, author, entrepreneur and community leader. Dr. Power is destined for what she loves to do, and that’s helping people whether it’s in or outside the walls of the church. Her life has not only been filled with many challenges but also with tragedies and great heartbreak. She carried a secret of depression for many years, and through all of it her life’s purpose was revealed, and she has triumphed ever since. Born in Mobile, Alabama, Dr. Powers from a child has always known there was something very different about her. Her parents often told her the story of when she was a toddler, how she’d get fussy and nothing would soothe her except the voice of her mother reading the bible. Her mother states that she would instantly calm down and listen as if she understood every word. Dr. Powers was aware early in life that she had a gift and that her purpose was to help others. Growing up was challenging, as her innocence was taken from her at an early age. After suffering through molestation and thoughts of suicide, her self-esteem was very low.

She went through life making choic-

es as a result of the pain she had endured. That pain caused her to choose the wrong relationships, make the wrong decisions, experience missed opportunities and most of all harbor a secret depression that later turned into panic attacks. Like many, Dr. Powers went through a season of not knowing what to do. Through prayer and her belief in God, she was able to use her God-given gift to help lead her out of her greatest fight. At the age of 23, she decided to get married to escape. In this marriage, Dr. Powers had her first son and the marriage was everything but loving. Dr. Powers had a medical emergency and a mental break down all in one night. As she lay listening to the psychiatrist ask her questions, the only thing she could focus on was the sound coming from the television. The preacher was encouraging the people to hold on by telling them that “God won’t leave you like this.” From that moment on, she fought to believe that she would come through it and be just fine. After getting out of the hospital, Dr. Powers realized that her journey would be long, but it didn’t have to be hard. She started a new life in low-income housing and received government assistance while trying to rebuild her life. Emotionally drained, she had to learn to love her newborn son even though she didn’t love herself. While fighting the feeling of failure and depression, she knew she had to continue to fight. Being gifted, confused and hurt would cause a great fight to be born within her. One thing was clear; she couldn’t give up even if she didn’t know the answer to the next step. While most people who have been in the same situation have found a place to hide in pain, she embraced her gift. It was the one place she felt purposed and it didn’t allow room for her past troubles to be stronger than the person she would become. While rebuilding her life, she embraced her purpose and is now on a journey to help others take their lives back. Moving forward she embraced her purpose. Dr. Powers has authored several books entitled; Spiritual Detox: Rehab for the Soul, 91 Days Back to God and 12 Minutes to Change Devotional.

She was featured as a guest on

the reality show “Being,” where she strategized a plan to help turn a broken family in the right direction. Since her debut on BET, she has become a life strategist to help those that want to change a live the life destined for them.
