Fun bright and colourful themes led us to use colours such as green as is is an eye catching colour that appeals to children, and also shows the adventurous side that children have.

The main factors that effect this age group is the price and the social aspects of the complex, we decided to use a neutral blue as it conveys clean crisp ideas with the well known social media sites like twitter, facebook and tumblr.

Although this age category may want to have an exciting time on the ski slopes they are also most likely to want to relax in the hotel and spa complex or to take a break by the canal side. This led us to the colour purple is associated with luxury and the exclusive.

Purpose To offer an environment that creates both healthy and social experiences that are easily accessible leaving the subject with unforgettable experiences. The project will rejuvenate Huddersfield and the surrounding area attracting both sports enthusiasts to students and families which will all contribute to the local economy

Promise The promise is to offer an exclusive quality experience unique to Hd one, with accessible facilities for all audiences creating a modern complex with state of the art architecture, big brand names and of course the impressive ski slope.

Creating a brand identity

After researching various themes I decided to base my logo designs on the ski slope as I felt it was the main attraction of the complex. I added small illustrations to the text keeping to a black and white colour palette.

Creating a brand identity The idea behind these designs were After researching various themes I decided to base my logo designs on the ski slope as I felt it was the main attraction of the complex. I added small illustrations to the text keeping to a black and white colour palette.

Creating a Brand Identity After looking at various other logos I started to work with type and shape in the same image. I also had a look at perspective and linking letters together so that the letters form their own logo, and also make up the word ‘do’ which is also used in our tag line.

Creating a brand Identity I decided to play with the location of the complex which is around the side of a hill in which the ski slope will be built. And so I worked with some simple curves to show this hillside, I also liked how it made a reference to Yorkshire which is known for its rolling hills. I then played with the position of the type and it came together nicely.

Creating a brand Identity I wanted to make a logo using the letters from the name and have the circle a different colour indicating each of the posters. The logo would also have small icons for different places of the building for example food, shopping, skiing.

Creating a tag-line One place, one destination What wouldn’t you want to do? Play. Do. Relax Join the Experience

Posters Taking the colour themes and popular activities of each age group we decided to come up with three different posters that convey different aspects of the complex. The simple layout and type on each poster conveys a clear message to the viewer whilst including the brand identity.
