Voice
With only six weeks left of school and the unpredictable Klamath spring weather changing please remind your students to continue to dress appropriately for school. Dress that is appropriate at the lake or the beach may not be acceptable at school. We are continuing to finish up OAKS (State Testing), please continue to encourage them to do their best and work their hardest to improve on their scores. Remember: Class of 2012 must meet or exceed in Reading Class of 2013 must meet or exceed in both Reading and Writing Class of 2014 & 2015 must meet or exceed in all three, Reading, Writing and math Our calendar is full of activities for all of our students but our graduating seniors will be busiest with activities happening from now until graduation June 10th. It can be overwhelming at times and we need to support them as best we can. As we draw to a close to the 2011-2012 school year I want to thank all of you for contributing to the success of Mazama High School. Enjoy your summer and see you next year! Terry S. Bennett

MAZAMA SUCCEEDS AT STATE
The State Business Leadership Conference for FBLA was held in Portland at the beginning of the month. Out of Mazama High School’s members, 36 students attended this conference. During the chapter’s stay in Portland, they stayed at the Doubletree for two nights, had the option to go to a Portland Trailblazer’s basketball game or go shopping, and attended many different events and workshops. On Friday night, there was even a National qualifiers proudly display their dance put on to celebrate the successes and awards in front of the conference center fun times Oregon FBLA shared together. Mazama did well, with 29 out of the 36 members placing high enough to make it on stage. Our FBLA chapter also took second place in the 5A Chapter of the Year award and has 8 students eligible to go to the National Leadership Conference, in San Antonio, Texas this June.
