SINOPSIS
SYNOPSIS
Adriana, una esforzada madre de un sector rural de Isla Maillen vende manzanas amarillas para subsistir. Su relación con su hija de 12 años está rota y a través de un nuevo par de zapatos de colegio, la mujer luchará por recuperar el cariño perdido, redoblando sus esfuerzos laborales y sacrificios personales.
Adriana, a struggling mom living in a rural area of Maillen Island sells yellow apples to live. Her relationship with her daughter is broken and through a new pair of school shoes the woman will try to recover the lost love, doubling her work and personal sacrifices.

INTENCIÓN DIRECTOR Manzanas amarillas nace de la observación y vivencias de mi infancia, en las que cada fin de semana la visita al mercado de Angelmó a comprar frutas y verduras era fija. Al alejarme por algunos años de Puerto Montt, mi ciudad natal comienza a nacer un particular interes por los recuerdos, experiencias y contexto en el que crecí y me formé durante ese periodo de mi vida. Es en base a esto que comienzan a nacer historias relacionadas a la ciudad, que poseen particularidades y eventos desconocidos en otros lugares, siempre enriquecidos con un planteamiento narrativo cinematográfico en el que se puedan destacar los personajes, los lugares y forma de vida del mundo a representar. La historia, además de poseer elementos característicos de la zona desde la que proviene el relato, cuenta con una línea dramática en la que se profundiza en los conflictos personales de una esforzada madre, que hace todo lo que esté a su alcance para recuperar el cariño de su hija de doce años. El objetivo fundamental de esta obra es rescatar un fragmento de la realidad de mi zona natal y a través de la realización misma, potenciar la realización cinematográfica de la Región de Los Lagos.
DIRECTOR’S STATEMENT Yellow apples born from the observation and livings of my childhood, where each weekend the visit to Angelmó Fish Market to buy fruits and vegetables was something set. When I was out of Puerto Montt for a couple years, my born town, started to appear a special feeling about the memories, experiences and the context where I grew up and I form my personality in that stage of my life. Based on that I started to write stories that are related to that city, that have particularities and events unknown in other places, always trying to make them rich with a cinematographic narrative where could be easy to identify the characters, places and the way of life in that represented world. The story has many particular characteristics of the zone in the visual aspects and also in the other side there’s a dramatic line that goes deep into the personal conflicts of a hard worker mother, that makes everything that she can to recovers the love of her twelve years old. The main goal of this film work is to rescue a piece of the reality of my born city and through that, potentiate the film realization in Los Lagos region
BIOGRAFÍA DEL DIRECTOR Director y animador especializado en dirección de arte y guión. Natal de la ciudad de Puerto Montt. Realizó sus estudios cinematográficos en la Universidad de Valparaíso e ilustración en la escuela de creativos Brother Advertisement. En sus obras destaca una minuciosa dirección de arte y una búsqueda audiovisual en la que destaca la plástica de la imagen cinematográfica. Ganador del Premio Pedro Sienna al mejor cortometraje de animación 2011 por el cortometraje “Humanoide no Robo” y en el mismo, nominado como personaje del año en el ámbito artístico en su región. Director de los cortometrajes; “Humanoide No Robot” (animación 2009); “Enco, travesías a Vapor” (animación 2011), “Peon”(Ficción 2013 en postproducción) y “Manzanas Amarillas” (ficción 2014). Actualmiente trabaja en el desarrollo de su primer largometraje “Green Grass” en coproducción con Bond Producciones (Japón)
DIRECTOR’S BIOGRAPHY Director and animator specialized in Art Direction and screenwriting; he was born in Puerto Montt city. Studied in the Cinema School at “Universidad de Valparaíso de Chile”, then illustration in the creatives school “Brother Advertisement”. In his films he works with minusious art direction and always he is looking for the plastic of the film image. In 2011 he was awarded with the Pedro Sienna price of Chilean film industry for his work “Humanoide no Robot” and nominated as person of the year in arts in his region. Director of the short films “Humanoide No Robot” (animation 2009); “Enco, travesías a Vapor” (animation 2011), “Peon”(Fiction 2013 in postproduction) and “Manzanas Amarillas” (fiction 2014). Now he is working in the development of his first feature film “Green Grass” in coproduction with Bond Production (Japan).
