SINOPSIS SYNOPSIS
Rodrigo(36) y su padre Ramón(70) tienen una mala relación, el hijo vive en Santiago y su padre en Isla Huar. Ramón se entera de que está enfermo de cáncer y sin contárlo, intenta que si hijo lo visite, mientras Rodrigo pospone su viaje una y otra vez. Ramón espera en vano, hasta que finalmente Rodrigo accede al viaje para asistir al funeral de su padre.
[ENG] Rodrigo (36) and his father Ramón (70) have a bad relationship, the son lives in Santiago city and his father in Huar Island, southern Chile. Ramón gets noticed about having cancer and without telling his son, tries to invite him to the island, but he holds over the visit many times. Ramón waits in vain, until Rodrigo finally decides to travel, this time to his father`s funeral.

“Descansar” es un cortometraje del género drama, que aborda la dualidad emocional de un hijo alejado de sus raíces, que sólo regresa tras la muerte de su padre. Se enmarca dentro de un mundo realista, que muestra el contraste entre la metrópolis y un sector aíslado del sur de Chile, rescatando las costumbres, lugares y forma de vida de este último.
[ENG] “Rest” is a drama shortfilm about the emotional duality of a distant son away from his roots, who only returns after his father death. In a realistic world where the contrast between the metropolis and an isolate area of southern Chile, rescuing the costumes, places and lifestyle.
“Descansar” es parte de una trilogía de cortometrajes que cuentan pequeñas historias que transcurren en distintas islas cercanas a la ciudad de Puerto Montt, al sur de Chile. En conjunto estos cortometrajes hacen una radiografía de las distintas realidades que dialogan en esa zona.
[ENG] “Rest” is part of a shortfilm trilogy that tells small stories in different islands near Puerto Montt, southern Chile. Togheter these shortfilms make an analysis of different realities coexisting in the area.

YENIFFER FASCIANI PRODUCER
[ESP] Director, director de arte y docente universitario natal de Puerto Montt, con estudios en la Escuela de Cine de la Universidad de Valparaíso, se especializó en ilustración en la escuela de creativos Brother Advertisement y participó de Talents Bs.As. En sus obras destaca una minuciosa dirección de arte y la búsqueda pictórica a través de los encuadres. Ganador del premio Pedro Sienna el año 2011 y nominado el 2016; con participación en diversos festivales de cine en Chile y el extranjero.
[ESP] Licenciada en Cine, con mención en Producción y Post Producción de la Universidad de Valparaíso y diplomada en Producción Ejecutiva Audiovisual en la Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile y participó de Berlinale Talents. Productora de los cortometrajes “Soliloquio”, “Dorado”, “Humanoide no Robot” (premio Pedro Sienna 2011), “Manzanas Amarillas”(nominado al Pedro Sienna 2016), “Descansar” , Killer y de los largometrajes “Perros sin Cola“ y “Green Grass“, coproduccion entre Chile y Japón.
[ENG] Director, art director and university proffesor, he was borned in Puerto Montt and studied at Valparaiso’s University Film School, he got a specialization in publicity illustration at the creatives school Brother Advertisement and he participated at Talents Bs. As.His works highlights are a strong art direction and the pictorical search in the cinematic image. Winner of the Pedro Sienna Price in 2011 and nominated in 2016; with participation in film festivals in Chile and abroad.
[ENG] Degree in Film studies with mention in Production and Post Production at Valparaiso’s University and Diplomaed in Executive Production for Audivisual at Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile and she participated of Berlinale Talents.
