¿Cómo te llamas?: Enrique Carlos Alberto Mandl ¿Cuántos años tienes?: 40 ¿De dónde eres?: Viena ¿A qué te dedicas?: Anfitrión ¿Qué es el Ocean Drive?: El Ocean Drive es un hotel, un bar, un Chill-Out y sobre todo en muchos asuntos una filosofía muy distinta a la de otros hoteles. ¿Dónde está?: En la Marina Botafoch/ Playa de Talamanca en Ibiza cuidad. ¿Qué tipo de ambiente ofrecéis?: Es un ambiente de diseño, personalizado – un home away from home con el mejor equipo de personal de Ibiza. ¿Qué ofrece Ocean Drive que no ofrezcan otros hoteles?: Un servicio muy personalizado que se centra en las necesidades de nuestros clientes, como, por ejemplo, el desayuno hasta las 16:00 o equipos de alta calidad por los DJs en las habitaciones y un Chill-Out fantástico en la azotea. ¿Cuáles son las novedades para este año?: En 2009/2010 el Hotel Ocean Drive ha acometido la renovación del hotel y sus 40 nuevas habitaciones. Se ha renovado todo el equipamiento con la tecnología más moderna, un interior de gran valor y materiales exclusivos y ha adjuntado 2 Suites- ahora en total son 4, cada una ofrece a sus clientes un Smart Cabriolet, hemos comprado un hotel más y encima hemos reformado la azotea de una forma muy chic.

Se inauguró hace algunos días la terraza del Hotel Ocean Drive, con sus bonitas vistas, ¿qué tipo de ambiente podemos encontrar?: Está totalmente reformado, con un Chill-Out y unas vistas fantásticas. Todo con muebles de Giandia Blasco, un ambiente único y con noches con DJs como DJ Zappi, Paul Lomax, etc. Además, lanzamos un Chill-Out CD producido por Tom Novy.

Háblanos de Can Jaume Landmark, ¿qué tipo de local es?: Es un agroturismo de lujo en Ibiza. Tiene un encanto especial y ha sido especialmente diseñado para vivir una experiencia única en un entorno de ensueño.

Rodeado de naturaleza y abrazado por el relax más absoluto, es el agroturismo más cerca de Ibiza. ¿Cuál es tu conexión con la isla?: Una conexión fantástica. Estoy súper agradecido por lo que me ha ofrecido la isla y su gente. Sé que todos nosotros en Ibiza necesitamos trabajar cada día al 150% para mejorar el servicio y superar las expectativas de nuestros clientes. ¿Cambiarías algo de Ibiza?: Creo que hay pocas cosas que cambiar pero estamos en el buen camino aunque todavía bastante largo.

Defínete en tres palabras: Austriaco, español, European. ¿Qué piensas de Night&Day Magazine?: Es una de las revistas que realmente ha hecho un gran avance en los últimos 2 años y ¡por fin habla de hoteles fantásticos!

What is the Ocean Drive?: The Ocean Drive is a hotel, a bar, a Chill-Out and above all a different philosophy compared to other hotels.

Where it is?: In Marina Botafoch/ Playa de Talamanca, Ibiza town.

Which kind of atmosphere do you offer?: It is a designer place, personalized – a home away from home with the best Ibiza staff.

What does only the Ocean Drive offer compared to other hotels?: A very personalized service focused on our clients’ needs like, for example, breakfast until 4pm or high-quality equipments for DJ’s in the rooms and a wonderful Chill-Out on the terrace roof.

Have you got a piece of news this year?: In 2009/2010 we have renewed all the 40 rooms of the Ocean Drive Hotel. We have changed all the equipments with a higher technology, the interior is really valuable thanks to exclusive materials and we added 2 Suites- now there are 4, with them we offer a Smart Cabriolet.

We have also bought another hotel and made the terrace roof very chic.

Few days ago the Ocean Drive Hotel terrace with its beautiful views was inaugurated, which kind of atmosphere can we find there?: It has been totally renewed, with a Chill-Out and wonderful views. It is a unique place with furniture by Giandia Blasco and music by DJ Zappi, Paul Lomax, etc. In addition, we will launch a Chill-Out CD produced by Tom Novy.

Tell us about Can Jaume Landmark, which kind of place is it?: It is a luxury country house in Ibiza. It has a special charm and has been designed to live a unique experience in a dreamlike place. Surrounded by nature and the most absolute relax, it is the Ibiza nearest country house.

Which is your connection to the island?: A wonderful connection. I really thank the island for all the things it offers me and for the people. I am aware we all have to work 150% every day in order to improve the service and exceed our clients’ expectations.

Would you change something of Ibiza?: I think there are few things to change. We are on the right path, although it is still a long way.

Define yourself in three words: Austrian, Spanish and European.

What do you think about Night&Day Magazine?: It is one of the magazines that has made a real big step forward during the last 2 years and finally it deals with wonderful hotels!

Chris Liebing Where are you from?: From Frankfurt, Germany.

How old are you?: That is difficult question. I really don´t know.

What kind of music did you start playing?: Mainly Hip Hop, Soul and House. With my growing passion for electronic music, my style organically transformed and I started to play more and more Techno.

Tell us about how Soap Records started: I founded it with some friends. It was the time when I started to produce music and I needed an output for my first productions.

What were your musical influences?: Good music that comes from the heart. No certain style, although I do like rock and music of the 80s.

Has your style changed over the years?: Absolutely, I think you grow as an artist, just as much as you grow as a person. The music and the technique are evolving rapidly and give you new possibilities all of the time.

What can you tell us about your latest album?: The last album I released on my label CLR is the 10Y CLR compilation, which features 10 exclusive tracks, especially produced for this purpose.

Have you got news for this summer?: From the 8th of June on, I have been hosting

four Tuesday nights at the Space terrace with special guests such as Ben Klock, Marcel Dettmann, Len Faki, Anja Schneider, Mathew Jonson, Drumcell, Edit Select and Mark Broom. On the 20th of August I will also play at the Space at the third season of the great “Be” night.

Are you still playing on the radio?: Yes, I am regularly playing on my weekly radio shows on Ibiza Sonica and Global Radio Ibiza, and I am also producing weekly podcasts which one can download for free on our website: www.clr. net or on iTunes.

What do you think of Ibiza?: I think that Ibiza is a truly special place and I think that people who come here to party and enjoy this unique atmosphere are very privileged. There is no other place on the world like Ibiza, and I think we should take good care of this beautiful island.

What was the most beautiful party for you?: It is always the one I am having.

What is your favorite place in the world?: My studio in Frankfurt.

What do you think of Night & Day Magazine?: I really like it, I think it contains some very interesting articles and interviews.

¿De dónde eres?: De Frankfurt,Alemania. ¿Cuántos años tienes?: Es una pregunta muy difícil. La verdad es que no lo sé. ¿Qué tipo de música pinchabas cuando empezaste?: Sobre todo Hip Hop, Soul y House. Mientras mi pasión por la electrónica aumentaba, mi estilo se iba transformando de forma orgánica y empecé a pinchar cada vez más Techno.

Cuéntanos cómo empezó Soap Records: Lo fundé con algunos amigos. Fue cuando empecé a producir y necesitaba una salida para mi primera producción. ¿Cuáles eran tus influencias musicales?: La buena música que viene del corazón.

Ningún estilo en concreto aunque me gusta el rock y la música de los 80. ¿Tu estilo ha cambiado con los años?: Sin duda, creo que se crece como artista al mismo paso que se crece como persona. La música y la técnica evolucionan rápido y te dan continuamente nuevas posibilidades. ¿Qué nos cuenta de tu último álbum?: El último álbum que salió en mi sello CLR ha sido el recopilatorio 10Y que contiene 10 pistas exclusivas, producidas especialmente para esa ocasión. ¿Tienes alguna novedad para este verano?: A partir del 8 de Junio durante cuatro

Mr. Bosco ¿De dónde eres?: Sevilla ¿Cuántos años tienes?: 36 ¿Cuándo empezó tu pasión por la música?: Puffff...desde que estaba en la cuna! Y aunque he pasado por ser un apasionado del rock y el pop, ahora sin lugar a dudas mi corazón lo ocupa la electrónica. ¿Cómo definirías tu estilo musical?: Tech house en general pero siempre orientada a la pista. ¡Todo el mundo tiene que bailar! ¿Cuáles son tus influencias musicales? Roxy music,Todd Ferry, Genesis, todo el sello Salsoul y en especial el house de Chicago.

Explícanos tu relación con la isla. ¿Cuándo llegaste, por qué decidiste quedarte, qué te enamoró de la Isla Blanca?: Vine por primera vez en el verano 2004, una semana donde como suele pasar, me quedé prendado de su mágica atmósfera. Era como si la música emanara de la tierra. Al verano siguiente vine a trabajar y ya en 2006 me quedé todo el año.

Háblanos un poco de Mondoloco: Es un fiesta que nace en 2007 con la intención de llenar un hueco que había en la isla, una buena fiesta para residentes, que realmente piense en ellos, que cuide la producción y la música para que todo el mundo pueda divertirse sin excepción. ¿Cada sábado hay una fiesta de Mondoloco? Sí, claro, es semanal. ¿Desde hace cuánto tiempo eres dj resident de Mondoloco?: Desde sus inicios, en 2007. Con este es nuestro cuarto año ya, todo un logro dado lo difícil que es conseguir consolidar una fiesta hoy en día. ¿Cuáles son las novedades para la apertura de Eden del 12 junio 2010?: Para la apertura hemos compuesto el line up sin duda más underground de la isla, con los escoceses Slam y el nacional Alex Under. Con esto apostamos 100% por la electrónica en su más alto nivel. A estos djs seguirán semanalmente Misstress Barbara, Daren Emerson, Cristian Varela, Pascal Feos, Technasia, Dave Spoon, Jerome sydenham, Harry Romero,Alex Celler, Christian Smith, Paolo Mojo entre otros. ¿Pinchas también en otras discotecas?: He tenido residencia en Space Ibiza 2007 con la promotoraTwisted&In bed y durante los últimos 4 años he pinchado en openings, closings y otros eventos de Space IBiza. He pinchando en general en todos los grandes sitios de la isla: Pacha, Privilege, El divino, Ushusaia, El Divi-

no, El Ayoum, Lola´s, Grial, etc. Pincho igualmente con regularidad por el circuito nacional y en eventos internacionales. ¿Qué quieres expresar cuando pinchas?: ¡Mucha energía! Conseguir que se olviden del trabajo, de los malos rollos y ¡bailen a tope! ¿Cuál es el primer disco que has comprado?: Baby wants to ride, del Maestro Frankie Knukles en 1987. ¿Dónde pinchaste por primera vez?: Catedral, en Sevilla Una fiesta para recordar: Cierre de Space 2005. John Digweed y Cristian Varela en su máximo esplendor. ¿Crees que Ibiza ha cambiado con los años? ¿Cómo?: Dentro del contexto clubbing, sinceramente casi no reconozco esta isla. Poco queda de lo que yo conocí años atrás Ya no hay pasacalles, eventos al aire libre, la vitalidad del puerto, Benirràs, las fiestas trances de las montañas, la música ha desaparecido en general, todo es demasiado silencioso.Y para colmo, romper el ciclo de 24h creo que ha sido muy desacertado para el turismo clubbing que nos visitaba. Sin duda la isla ha perdido en este aspecto mucho interés y mucho tendremos que ponernos las pilas para remontar, aunque sea con otra oferta diferente. Si le sumamos crisis y volcanes nos da un resultado muy desalentador.

Where are you from?: Seville How old are you?: 36 When did you start loving music?: Puffff... when I was in the cradle! Although I used to love rock and pop, now electronic music is in my heart.

How would you define your genre?: In general, it’s tech house although I’m always oriented to my public. Everyone has to dance!

Which are your music influences? Roxy music, Todd Ferry, Genesis, the label Salsoul and especially the Chicago house music.

Tell us about your relationship with this island. When did you come for the first time, why did you decide to stay and why did you feel in love with the island?: I came for the first time for one week on the summer of 2004 and, as it often happens, I felt in love with its magic atmosphere. It was like the earth was spreading music. The following summer I came here to work and in 2006 I stayed the whole year.

Tell us a little bit about Mondoloco: This party started in 2007 and was aimed at filling a gap. It is a good party for residents, thinking about them, with a careful production and music for everyone, so all the people can have a great time.

Is there a Mondoloco party every Saturday? Yes, there is. It’s a weekly party.

How long have you been working as resident DJ at Mondoloco?: From the beginning, in 2007.This year is our forth year, a great success since nowadays it is difficult to consolidate a party.

Which are the news for the Eden Open party July, 12nd 2010?: We have prepared the most underground line up on the island, with the Scottish Slam and the national Alex Under. We bet on electronic music at its highest level. Weekly other dj’s will follow, for example, Misstress Barbara, Daren Emerson, Cristian Varela, Pascal Feos, Technasia, Dave Spoon, Jerome sydenham, Harry Romero, Alex Celler, Christian Smith and Paolo Mojo.

Do you play at other discos?: I was resident at Space Ibiza in 2007 with the promoters Twisted&In bed and during the last 4 years I’ve played at openings, closings and other events from Space Ibiza. I’ve played in all the big places of the island: Pacha, Privilege, El divino, Ushusaia, El Divino, El Ayoum, Lola´s, Grial, etc. I also play regularly in Spain and at international events.

What do you want to express when you are djing?: A lot of energy! Make people forget about work and bad vibrations and make them dance!

Which was the first album you bought?: Baby wants to ride from the master Frankie Knukles in 1987.

Where did you play for the first time?: At Catedral, in Seville.

A party to remember: The closing party at Space in 2005. John Digweed and Cristian Varela at their pick.

Do you think Ibiza has changed through the years? How?: As far as clubbing is concerned, I hardly recognize the island.Very few are left of what I used to know… There are no parades, outdoor events, the port vitality, Benirràs, trance parties in the mountains, music in general has disappeared and everything is so quite.To top it all, I think that having broken the 24h cycle was really unwise for our clubbing tourism.

The island has lost a lot of interest from this point of view and we will have to act to get over it, even with offering something different. Together with the crisis and volcanoes the result is really discouraging.

A piece of advice for all the tourists: Get lost on the island and enjoy it in all its aspects. Ibiza is a wonderful place to escape from the city hard life.

What do you think about the Night&Day Magazine?: I like it a lot for its good articles, good advertisement and above all good taste in communicating the Ibiza image. A good magazine.

Where are you from?: From here,Ibiza.

How old are you?: 24 What’s your job?: I’m sound technician and communications at Ibiza Global Radio and also a disk-jockey.

How long are you been living in Ibiza?: All my life.

When did you start playing?: I don’t remember exactly because I’ve always played...However,I started to play in public places when I was 17.

How would you define your style?: I would define it asTech-House but I have to admit that during a set what I enjoy the most is the progression from Deep toTech.

Do you play an instrument?: No, I don’t but I would like to play the piano ...

We know that the passion for music comes from your family,could you explain it?:The truth is that it’s difficult to explain in few words.When people ask me I tell them I was born at the radio. (Laughs) My parents have worked at the radio all their life,they met at the radio.All my life I’ve been listening to music and learning how to work at a radio.I’ve had luck since I’ve always been surrounded by the best professionals and each one has given me some of his/her style,personality, musical taste and ability to be objective.

How is your relationship with your sister Anna?: It’s excellent, I think Anna is more than a sister. I feel lucky to be his brother and that she is my boss.The truth is that by her side everything is easier.

Your goal: I consider myself an overly ambitious and fulfilled person since I got almost everything I wanted...I’ve learned that if you want something, you have to make a big effort to achieve it. Right now we are focused on the expansion of Ibiza Global Radio...Till now we have established in Menorca, Seville, Murcia andValencia,but it will continue.

A dream to fulfill: Travelling around the world.

What are your musical influences?: Ibiza in general,but I also recognize that without my parents, David Moreno, Joan Ribas and Igor Marijuan I probably would not be what I am now.

Do you prefer CDs or vinyl?: Currently,I play withTracktor.

What is your connection to the island?: My connection to the

island is broadband.(Laughs) I consider myself very much from Ibiza, the island has given me a quite characteristic way of acting and thinking.

Let’s talk a little bit about our island. Do you think that Ibiza is really the Mecca of music: Yes,but be careful because anything can happen. Since we have this reputation, we can improve it and open ourselves to other styles and other times of year, it doesn’t have to be only in summer.

In Ibiza the best DJ’s in the world play, although we don’t have other styles.

Can you imagine a Madonna, Depeche Mode, Rolling Stones or U2 concert in Ibiza?

Tell me two positive and two negative things about Ibiza: Positive ones:I have never seen anywhere else a light like in Ibiza and the good energy that the people of the island transmit.Negative ones:There are more than two...However,I want to emphasize internal and external transport which is not good and also the bad smell that comes from the treatment plants. Afterhours yes or no? Why?: Why not? If their do not damage anyone I don’t understand this prohibition. Ibiza is an island for vacations and on holidays there are no schedules.Then we will see if this is profitable or not.

Your favorite place on the island:I would mention two:Es Broll de Buscastell and the excellent sunset at Hostal LaTorre.

Your refuge from the world: Ibiza is a wonderful place but sometimes it locks you and it’s good to go out.Personally, I like to go to Barcelona or Madrid to disconnect which is the opposite of what people normally do.(Laughs) What do you think about Night&Day Magazine?: Night&Day is more than a magazine.

Durante toda mi vida he estado escuchando música y aprendiendo maneras de hacer radio.He tenido la suerte que desde pequeñito siempre he estado rodeado de los mejores y cada uno me ha aportado algo de su estilo, personalidad musical, gusto y la capacidad de ser objetivo. ¿Cómo es tu relación con tu hermana Anna?: Es excelente, considero aAnna algo más que una hermana.En este sentido me siento afortunado de ser su hermano y de que sea mi jefa, la verdad es que a su lado todo es más fácil.

Tu meta: Me considero una persona excesivamente ambiciosa y realizada,he conseguido casi todo lo que me he propuesto… He aprendido que si te propones algo, para conseguirlo gran parte del esfuerzo tienes que ponerlo tú mismo. Ahora mismo estamos centrados en la expansión de Ibiza Global Radio…

Por ahora ya hemos conseguido establecernos en Menorca, Sevilla, Murcia y Valencia,pero esto no acaba aquí.

te Ibiza sea la meca de la música?: Sí, pero cuidado porque torres más altas han caído. Ya que tenemos esta etiqueta vamos a aprovecharla y abrámonos a los demás estilos y a las demás épocas del año,no tiene por qué ser sólo en verano. En Ibiza pinchan los mejores Dj’s del mundo, pero en los demás estilos estamos un poco “perdidos”.¿Os imagináis en Ibiza un concierto de Madonna, Depeche Mode, Rolling Stones o U2?

Dime dos cosas positivas y dos negativas de Ibiza: Positivas: La luz que hay en Ibiza no la he visto en ningún otro lugar de los que he estado y la buena energía que transmite la gente que esta en la isla. Negativas: Dos cosas son pocas… pero cabe destacar que a nivel de transporte tanto interno como externo dejamos bastante que desear y también el mal olor que desprenden todas las depuradoras que hay la Isla.

Afterhours sí o no y porqué: ¿Y por qué no? Mientras no se perjudique a nadie no veo el porqué de esta prohibición.Ibiza es una isla de vacaciones y en vacaciones no tiene por que haber horarios.Luego ya se vería si sale rentable o no.

Tu lugar preferido de la isla: Quiero destacar dos: Es Broll de Buscastell y la excelente puesta de sol del Hostal LaTorre.

Tu refugio del mundo: Ibiza es un lugar maravilloso, pero a veces te cierra y viene bien salir. Personalmente me gusta ir a Barcelona o Madrid para desconectar, aunque es lo contrario de lo que hace la gente.(Risas) ¿Que piensas de Night&Day Magazine?: Night&Day es algo más que una revista.N&D refleja lo que son las Pitiusas. Finally the good days are here! The World Cup is coming to an end; the opening parties are just a wonderful dream where every club and party offers endless shows that are as good as the great Parisian shows.

Finally the DC-10 opens again although you also have to go to the beach where every Monday Nikos Akrivos puts his fire at Plage and also to Pacha to dance the whole night with its wonderful music. Anyway, this year every party is really

marvelous.We advice tourists, even those who have come just for one week, to buy the “Ibiza Discount Card” in order to make the most of and at the best price our white paradise.

This year I think Ibiza has a better entertainment organization to fight against this sad period.

More than 50 different companies collaborate in this project (the number is quickly increasing), says its nice and dynamic creator Luigi. There are hotels, restaurants, clubs, bars, rent a car, rent a boat, various clothes and records shops, apart from the most important services like plumbers and electricians.

Some can think that bargaining you can get a discount, although this is not sure because:

La isla de Es Vedrà se encuentra en la costa oeste de Ibiza, en San José, en la zona de Cala d’Hort. Es Vedrà es una reserva natural, una isla desierta que se compone principalmente de piedra caliza del Mesozoico y montones de metal que le da un magnetismo mágico. Es el segundo punto energético en el mundo y es por eso que más de uno se acerca a las rocas para recibir su influencia energética. The island of Es Vedrà is situated on the western coast of Ibiza, in San José, the area of Cala d’Hort. Es Vedrà is a nature reserve, a desert island which consists mainly of Mesozoic limestone and large metal accumulations giving a magic magnetism.

This is the second energetic point in the world and that’s why many people come to the rocks to receive their energetic influence. Here the sailor’s compass stops working and people say that its influence affects more sensitive individuals.

Es Vedrà has inspired artists, poets, painters and photographers attracted by the mystery it emanates.

Some consider it as the mermaids’ island during the period of the epic writer Homer. A lot of legends have been attributed to Es Vedrà together with the small island of Es Vedredell where, from different elevated points on the rocks, we can admire a spectacular view.

The two islands’ figures emerge from the sea drawing one of the most emblematic Ibiza images.

The place arose from the submerged Atlantis, where people say that inexplicable phenomena used to happen, for instance rays of light, big light circles with a diameter of 50m which shined from the bottom of the sea until the surface.This enchanting place is perfect for those who practice the art of meditation, due to its huge strength. THE IBIZAN HOUND IN THE SERVICE OF SOCIETY

En España el origen de esta raza procede de la isla de Ibiza, donde se cree que fue traído por los fenicios o cartagineses en sus periplos comerciales. La ciudad de Ibiza fue fundada en el 654 d.C. y los primeros pobladores llevaban consigo a sus perros de claro origen egipcio para simple compañía y para cazar los abundantes conejos de la isla.

Es una de las razas más antiguas y se conoce también como “Ca Eivissenc”. Es un perro muy tranquilo, cariñoso y con cierta dependencia de su dueño.Tiene una gran paciencia con los niños, aunque es bastante reservado con los desconocidos. Es muy rápido y con gran olfato y oído, además de su vista extraordinaria y por eso es muy utilizado para la caza. Necesita desfogarse diariamente, jugar mucho y correr.

In Spain this breed originates in the island of Ibiza, where would have been brought by the Phoenicians or the Carthaginians during their commercial long voyages. The city of Ibiza was founded in 654 AC and the first settlers took with them their ancient Egyptian dogs for company or to hunt the abundant rabbits living on the island.

This is one of the most ancient breed, also known as “Ca Eivissenc”. It is a very quiet, affectionate dog and in some way it depends on its owner. It is very good around children although quite reserved with unknown people. Ibizan Hounds are active, with a great smell and hearing, apart from an extraordinary sight, for this reason they are used to hunt. They daily need to let off steam, play and run.

LA ASOCIACION “CANS EIVISSENCS SOLIDARIS” Un grupo de voluntarios ha iniciado un proyecto para promocionar al podenco ibicenco fuera del ámbito de la caza, para que se conozcan sus espléndidas virtudes y sus increíbles habilidades. El proyecto ‘Cans Eivissencs Solidaris’ pretende mostrar las características del podenco ibicenco al público en general para que este animal pueda desempeñar tareas que hasta ahora estaban limitadas a otras razas.

Por ejemplo, en vez de buscar a su presa favorita, el conejo, intentamos que se dedique a localizar personas perdidas en el campo o desaparecidos bajos los escombros; se intenta también que pueda ser utilizado para ayudar a los ancianos a mitigar su soledad o a personas y niños con discapacidades físicas, psíquicas o sensoriales.

RESCATE Actualmente la Asociación está entrenando a un grupo de perros con sus correspondientes guías con el fin de poder colaborar en la localización de personas perdidas o enterradas bajo los escombros debido a cualquier catástrofe natural.

TERAPIAS La asociación mantendrá también una serie de perros ibicencos para el desarrollo de terapias asistidas por animales para mejorar la salud y calidad de vida de personas mayores y enfermas.

DIVULGACIÓN Y CULTURA La asociación llevará a cabo distintas actividades para divulgar, promocionar y potenciar el podenco ibicenco fuera del ámbito de la caza con el fin de que se conozcan las características de la raza autóctona ibicenca. También figura en el proyecto la intención de organizar en Ibiza todo tipo de actividades culturales y científicas.

THE “CANS EIVISSENCS SOLIDARIS” ASSOCIATION A group of volunteers started a project to promote the Ibizan Hound out of hunt, to show its fantastic virtues and incredible skills. The ‘Cans Eivissencs Solidaris’ project wants to show the Ibizan Hound’s characteristics to the general public so that this animal can carry out jobs which were limited to other breeds. For example, instead of looking for its favorite prey, the rabbit, we teach it to find people who get lost in the countryside or trapped under rubble. We also try to use it in helping old people in order to mitigate their solitude or with disabled people and children.

RESCUE At present the association is training a group of Ibizan Hounds together with their correspondent guide in order to collaborate in finding missing people or trapped under rubble after a natural catastrophe.

THERAPIES The association will also train some Ibizan Hounds to develop animal-assisted therapies to improve the health and the life quality of old and sick people.

DIFFUSION AND CULTURAL ACTIVITIES The association will carry out different activities to inform, promote and potentiate the Ibizan Hound out of hunt and make people know the characteristics of this Ibiza autochthon breed. In Ibiza we also want to organize all kind of cultural and scientific activities.

TOMMASO PAONE Y EL ABSTRACTISMO SURREAL

Tommaso Paone nació en Catanzaro (Italia) el 17 de Marzo de 1976 y desde muy joven centró sus estudios en el mundo del arte graduándose como diseñador gráfico de caricaturas y continuando en Bellas Artes. Finalmente hace unos años se ha trasladado a Londres, donde puede expresar libremente su talento y combinarlo con su otra gran pasión: la música.

Un surrealista con tendencias de abstractismo, en su obra Paone expresa su visión de la realidad, un proceso en el que el inconsciente se manifiesta sólo a través de los sueños y surge librando pensamientos.

Las pinturas de Paone forman el mundo imaginario LIMINODI, tal y como el mismo autor le denomina, y transmiten mensajes claros y en otros momentos más escondidos y abstractos.

Este ecléctico artista recupera los elementos primitivos de expresión, lo instintivo y lo simbólico, la importancia sensorial del color y el elemento material, así como el aspecto psicológico y corporal que se manifiesta a través de sus obras.

Sus piezas forman parte de colecciones privadas en Nueva York,Washington, Pittsburg, Miami, Basilea, Zúrich, Barcelona y Malmö y también están en exposición permanente en la galería de arte Ken en Florencia.

Tommaso Paone was born in Catanzaro (Italy) on March 17th, 1976 and since young he studied arts. He graduated as a comic strip graphic designer and then attended the School of Fine Arts.

After that, he moved to London where he can freely express his talent combining it with another big passion, music.

His paintings are surrealist tending to abstract, in his works Paone expresses his point of view about reality, a process by which the subconscious is shown through dreams and free thoughts.

Paone’s canvases create an imaginary world called LIMINODI by the author himself which sometimes transmit clear messages and some other times they are more hidden and abstract.

This eclectic artist’s painting has some characteristics like the use of primitive, instinctive and symbolic elements of expression, the sensorial importance of colors and materials and the psychological and corporal aspect.

His talent has reinforced through the years all over the world.

His works are part of private collections in Nueva York, Washington, Pittsburgh, Miami, Basel, Zurich, Barcelona and Malmo and are permanently exhibited at Ken’s Gallery Art in Florence.

Este mes hablaremos de dos nuevos tratamientos para mejorar la salud de vuestro cuero cabelludo y cabello.

El primero es un tratamiento que purifica y equilibra el cuero cabelludo en 3 fases para resolver problemas de caspa, grasa y caída.

Primero, se analiza con una micro-

cámara para ver bien la situación y luego actuar con un producto de limpieza que expulsa todas las impurezas del cuero cabelludo, que luego se quitan con un champú especial que también se utiliza para soldar las grietas en el exterior del pelo proporcionando brillo y cuerpo. The crystalline waters of Ibiza make this island a great place for diving. Its varied geography with its cliffs, islets and coves offers not only a spectacular view from the surface, but invites us to visit its many nooks and crannies under the sea.

The combination of cliffs and islands provides numerous dive sites where you can choose among different types of dives: caves, rocky bottoms, coral reefs, vertical walls, etc. All depends on the level of the divers because when depth increases, you should not forget that risks also increase.

With a temperature around 27 degrees in August and an average visibility of 25 meters, you can appreciate in detail all its colors and marine life.

Its waters house a varied marine life: moray eels, groupers, sea breams, octopus, sarpa salpas, tuna, congers, barracudas, greater amberjacks, etc. among forests of gorgonians, sponges and nudibranches.

Since every dive is different, we can discover a wonderful underwater world full of life and color.

• Recommended Dives • Es Vedrà: magical islet with its impressive cliffs and gor-

gonians. It is a huge wall that drops over 50 meters. It is covered with deep red gorgonians. It is a spectacular and recommended dive.

• La Bota: near Es Vedrà, it is well known by sailors because it is very dangerous to the boats. The reason is it is difficult to locate because it rarely breaks the sea in it. It is a low around which you can dive. There are normal flows which are accompanied by numerous lives: groupers, tuna and barracudas.

• Malvinas: it is a typical night dive but also highly recommended during the day. We start from a Poseidonia meadow where we find banks of salpas, saddled seabreams or greater amberjacks. Do not forget to look under the rocks, where groupers, octopus and eels are hiding.

• Los Dados: Although it is located near the port of Ibiza, this wall is full of incoming and outgoing and hides numerous and varied marine life: drums, scorpion fish, octopus, etc.

• La Esponja: Diving in this islet consists in crossing it. In its steep wall caves can find many colorful and hidden life. The wall is covered with corals, sponges, nudibranches, etc.

• Cala Llonga: The Cathedral.

Las cristalinas aguas de Ibiza hacen de esta isla un buen lugar para bucear. Su variada geografía con sus acantilados, islotes y calas nos ofrece no sólo una visión espectacular desde la superficie, sino que nos invita a recorrer sus innumerables recovecos bajo el mar.

La combinación de acantilados e islotes nos proporciona numerosos puntos de buceo donde poder elegir entre diferentes tipos de inmersiones: cuevas, fondos rocosos, arrecifes coralinos, paredes verticales, etc. Todo depende del nivel de los buceadores pues con el aumento de la profundidad no debemos olvidar que también aumentan los riesgos.

Con una temperatura alrededor de los 27º en Agosto y una visibilidad media de 25 metros podemos apreciar con todo detalle todo su colorido y vida marina.

Sus aguas albergan una variada vida marina: morenas, meros, doradas, pulpos, salpas, atunes, congrios, sargos, barracudas, serviolas, etc. entre bosques de gorgonias, esponjas y nudibranquios.

Cada inmersión es diferente y nos descubre un maravilloso universo sumergido lleno de vida y color.

gorgonias. Es una inmensa pared que desciende a más de 50 metros. Está forrada de gorgonias de intenso color rojo. Inmersión espectacular y recomendada.

• La Bota: cerca de Es Vedrá, muy conocido por los navegantes por el peligro que supone para las embarcaciones ya que es difícil de localizar porque raramente rompe el mar en él. Es un bajo alrededor del cual se bucea.

Son normales las corrientes las cuáles vienen acompañadas de numerosa vida: meros, atunes, barracudas, etc.

• Malvinas: típica inmersión nocturna, pero también muy recomendada durante el día. Partimos de una pradera de posidonias donde encontramos bancos de salpas, obladas o serviolas. No debemos olvidar mirar debajo de las rocas, donde se resguardan los meros, los pulpos y las morenas.

• Los Dados: Aunque cerca al puerto de Ibiza esta pared llena de entrantes y salientes esconden numerosa y variada vida marina: corvinas, cabrachos, pulpos, etc • La Esponja: islote cuya inmersión consiste en recorrerlo. En su pared acantilada podemos encontrar cuevas de gran colorido y mucha vida escondida. La pared está tapizada por corales, esponjas, nudibranquios, etc.

It is a highly recommended dive to enjoy both colors and lights. The cave has a wide entrance and the travel is easy. It has a huge air vault in which we can take off the controller and enjoy a few minutes of rocks, stalactites and lights that enters from the outside. Through a corridor we arrive to another room called The Chapel, which also has its own air chamber. From everywhere you can see blue.

• North and South Side: They

are two great dives to enjoy both a wonderful underwater scenery full of dark crevices and caves and the diversity of marine life. We can even find some remains of amphorae.

• Conejera: It offers many and varied dives with platforms, caves, walls, etc. Abundant marine life and sunken remains.

• Freud Navy Reserve: It was declared world heritage site.

We need permission to dive there but it can be asked in advance.

• Cala Llonga: La Catedral. Inmersión muy recomendable para disfrutar tanto del colorido como de los juegos de luces.

Cueva con amplia entrada y fácil recorrido. Posee una enorme bóveda de aire en la que podemos quitarnos el regulador y disfrutar unos minutos de las formaciones rocosas, estalactitas y el juego de luces que entra del exterior.

Por un pasillo llegamos a una segunda sala llamada La Capilla que también posee su cámara de aire. Desde todas partes puede verse la salida al azul.

• Lado Norte y Sur: dos estupendas inmersiones para disfrutar tanto de un maravilloso paisaje submarino lleno de grietas y cuevas de morenas, como de la diversidad de vida marina. Incluso podemos encontrar restos de ánforas.

• Conejera: ofrece numerosas y variadas inmersiones, con plataformas, cuevas, paredes, etc.Abundante vida marina y restos hundidos • Reserva marina de los Freud: declarado patrimonio de la humanidad. Hace falta permiso pero se suelen pedir con antelación.

Actually 2, panther at night and domesticated beautiful house kitty by day licking myself a lot… (Laughes) The funniest things happened to you in the last days: playing with Will.I.Am and his little friend in the disco, almost spilling bottles of champagne at the Privé of Pacha because Francisco won´t stop touching my butt, and riding bike home from work with Mylene-Mimi while I was wearing the biggest hair ever and taking photos with her invisible camera.

Decidir lo que va a permanecer y lo que se va a ir. Ibiza es una mujer fuerte y apasionada, pero sólo ella sabe lo que va a pasar. Tenemos que ser pacientes y amables con ella porque va a ser algo hermoso, guau! ¿Qué es lo que más te gusta de ibiza?: Que nunca se sabe y no importa si es real que acabas de conocer a una persona encantadora, bailar con ella y hasta besarte. ¡Y enamorarse aquí es increíble! ¿Tienes algún sueño?: Pechos, bebés, esa hermosa chica de allí y demasiado dinero para dárselo a la gente guay. a nuestro público en estas páginas. ¿Cuáles son las novedades del 2010?: Hemos adaptado la carta a la clientela después de la experiencia del año pasado. ¿Qué habéis incorporado en la carta?: Hemos incorporado pescados fresco, carnes exóticas, tenemos un nuevo sushi man y con la experiencia hemos ganado mucho en calidad.

Pero el especialidad de Sissi’s Sigue siendo la carne a la parrilla, ¿verdad?: La carne llega directamente da Asturia y Galicia cada semana: podéis comer óptimos chuletones, solomillos y aprovechar de la experiencia de nuestro parrillero.

Antes nos has hablado de tu clientela, dinos algo más: Tenemos una clientela selecta a la que le gusta relajarse y deleitarse con nuestro entorno. Ésta es mi vida en cada instante dentro de la magia de la vida.

Al sentirme cero soy el “comodín universal” porque puedo canalizar cualquier vibración “yui” y después liberarla. Mi función es enviar todo a cero para empezar de cero y entonces ese famoso paraíso perdido volverá a ser “realidad” como un paraíso lleno de amor y paz. Porque Ibiza no es sólo la capital de la música, sino también encuentro de espiritualidad del mundo entero, maestros en Yoga, reiki y meditación. Porque la “Pacha Mama Ibiza” cura. Sobre todo en verano vienen de todo el mundo a visitarla porque ella es “fuego que quema su quemar”. Yo lo respiro a través de su naturaleza tan variada. Esta divina diva es la isla de la terapia del planeta tierra y del sonido universal que está representada con una luna llena detrás de ella, esto significa que la isla es el cero universal. Ella te devuelve la libertad a través de un sonido limpio y puro.

Es paz y Amor para todo el Planeta.

Muy pronto publicaré un libro llamado “El arte de vivir feliz”, en donde enseño a liberarte de tus fantasmas, miedos, complejos y máscaras, cómo alimentarte para mantenerte sano, cómo lograr la juventud eterna interior y exterior, a utilizar la risoterapia como el lado opuesto de lo oscuro, cómo quedarse niño eternamente, vivir eternamente el ahora, la ley de atracción de Paz y Amor. Explico que los milagros son realidades, tu vida la haces tú con tus pensamientos, te enseño cómo limpiar tus chakras a diario, el arte de visualizar lo que quieres, cómo ser rico, creativo y no competitivo. Cualquiera puede ser rico, da lo mismo si es muy pobre porque de la nada del cero todo sale si lo queréis. Espero que este libro ayude a la humanidad a prepararse para un mundo mejor.

I’m going to publish very soon a book called “El arte de vivir feliz” (“The art of happy living”), in which I teach how to free yourself from your ghosts, fears, complexes and masks, how to feed yourself to keep sane, how to reach the eternal youth, both interior and exterior, how to use laughter therapy as the other side of darkness, how to be a kid forever, how to live the present forever, the law of attraction of peace and love. In this book I will explain that miracles are realities, you can make your life through your thoughts, I will teach you how to clean your chakras daily, the art of visualize what you want, how to be rich, creative and non-competitive. Everyone can be rich; it’s the same if you are poor because if you want it, everything can start from scratch. I hope this book will help humanity getting prepared for a better world.

The largest gay and lesbian festival in Europe will return to revolutionize Barcelona offering 15 amazing parties, 20 daily activities and the best of everything, from July, 31st until August, 8th, the third edition of the almost legendary “Water Park Day.” The NH Calderon, a sophisticated four-star superior hotel located right in the center of Barcelona, will become one of the main meeting points of the festival. Lydia Sanz ¿De dónde eres?: De Girona. ¿Cuántos años tienes?: 28 ¿Cuál es tu signo zodiacal?: Piscis ¿Porqué viniste aquí por primera vez?: Por la cultura musical y por la increíble belleza de la isla. ¿Cuándo empezó tu pasión por la música?: Desde muy muy pequeña, a los 9 añitos ya tocaba el teclado, a los 13 guitarra y batería.

Siempre ha sido mi gran pasión. ¿Cómo definirías tu estilo?: Mi estilo va desde el house más fresco, vocal al progressive o tech house más contundente. Lo principal es conectar con el público que tienes en la pista... ¿Cuáles son tus influencias musicales?: Tengo tantas que no acabaríamos nunca, simplemente he cogido un poquito de cada una de ellas y fusionándolas he logrado tener un estilo propio. ¿Prefieres pinchar con cd o vinilo?: Hasta hace poco prefería con vinilo, pero con el avance tecnológico de estos últimos años se ha conseguido que con el cd tengas la misma sensación que pinchando con vinilo, así que ahora prefiero cd.

No os perdáis cada sábado en Amnesia y lo comprobareis, ¡es una cita obligada! ¿Cuándo podemos escucharte en Ibiza?: En Amnesia el 26 de Junio, 10 de Julio, 7 de Agosto, 4 de Septiembre y el 2 de Octubre.

Eres muy apreciada entre el público gay y lésbico y pinchaste también en los principales Pride de Europa, ¿piensas que la sociedad está aceptando con más facilidad a los hombres homosexuales que a las mujeres?: En un principio era así, pero creo que poco a poco va cambiando, he estado en Prides únicamente de mujeres este año, y la verdad he notado un cambio muy positivo.

¿Cuál es el ultimo evento gay donde has pinchado?: En THE WEEK, Rio De Janeiro (Brasil).

Cuéntanos alguna fiesta en la que hayas tocado y recuerdes que se te han puesto los pelos de punta: Pues la última, en MATINEE SUMMER FESTIVAL, en el parque acuático Isla Fantasía, pinchando en un escenario delante de una piscina enorme con 15000 personas bailando en el agua... Sin palabras... ¿Qué es la trasgresión para ti?: Cambio, innovación, marcar la diferencia. Algo muy malo si te precipitas, pero necesario si lo haces en el momento adecuado y progresivamente. ¿Crees que en Ibiza hay libertad de expresión?: De los sitios donde he estado, creo que donde más, otro de los motivos por lo que me encanta la isla. ¿Tienes algún sueño por lograr?: Muchos.

Por decir uno... tener una casa en Ibiza... (Risas). ¿Qué aconsejarías a los nuevos djs emergentes?: Que trabajen mucho, envíen maquetas a todos lados, y que pinchen en todos los sitios donde les ofrezcan... y sobretodo que crean en lo que hacen y amen la música. ¿Qué piensas de Night&Day Magazine?: Es una revista muy interesante tanto para nosotros los dj’s, para los visitantes de Ibiza o los que quieran conocer la noche. How old are you?: 28 Which is your zodiac sign?: Pisces Why did you come here for the first time?: Because of the music culture and the incredible beauty of the island.

When did your passion for music begin?: When I was very very young. At 9 I played the keyboard, at 13 the guitar and the drums. It has always been my great passion.

How would you define your genre?: My style goes from the freshest and vocal house to the heaviest progressive or tech house. The most important thing is the connection with the public on the dance floor.

Which are your musical influences?: I have got too much. I have simply taken a little bit of everyone and melted together to reach a personal style.

Do you prefer playing with vinyl records or cds?: I used to prefer vinyl, although due to the technologic advance of the last years I can feel the same playing cds, so now I prefer cds.

Your favorite album:

Classic: Knights of the jaguar by Dj Rolando.

Current: Who wants to be alone by Dj Tiesto, remix by David Tort.

When did you start working with the Matinee Group?: June, 7th it was 2 years.

Tell us a little bit about the Matinee World Tour 2010: This year has been simply wonderful, in the best clubs of the world, and every set has been the best I have lived as a DJ. Matinee has become a real world reference... Don’t miss our party at Amnesia every Saturday and you will see it. It is a must!

When can we listen to you in Ibiza?: At Amnesia June, 26th; July, 10th; August, 7th; September, 4th and October, 2nd.

The gay and lesbian public appreciate you very much, you have played at the principal European Prides, do you think society easily accepts homosexual men more than women?: It used to be like that but I think thinkgs are slowly changing. This year I have been in a lot of Prides just for women and I noticed a very positive change.

Which has been the last gay event you played at?: THEWEEK, Rio De Janeiro (Brazil).

Tell us some party you played at that makes your hair stand on end: Well, the last one at MATINEE SUMMER FESTIVAL, at the Isla Fantasía water park. I played on a stage in front of a huge pool with 15000 people dancing in the water... No words...

What does transgression mean to you?: Change, innovation, making the difference. It is something bag if you rush, although it is necessary if you do it in the right moment and progressively.

Do you think in Ibiza there is freedom of expression?: I think that in Ibiza there is more freedom of expression compared to all the places I have been. It is another reason why I love this island.

Have you got some dreams to fulfill?: A lot. Just to mention one... having a house in Ibiza... (Laughes).

A piece of advice for new up and coming DJ’s: Work hard, send demos and play everywhere... but especially believe in what you do and love music.

Our hostesses will ask all the passengers waiting for their luggage if they want to participate in our competition so they can win real prices. Those who agree must provide their personal data, such as mobile number, address and e-mail.

We will give them a welcome kit with a N&D magazine (including the Terms and Conditions of the competition) and a special scratch card .They can win many prizes like a return ticket to Formentera with Trasmapi Balearia, free tickets for different clubs such as Eden, Space, Amnesia, Privilege, Es Paradis, a dinner in one the best restaurants of the islands and a bonus to rent a car(BK Rent a Car).

In order to complete the card participants must do different things in the places supporting the initiative.
