For a long time I have studied nutrition and wellness techniques. I traveled a lot and I have been in close proximity of different holistic therapies. I went to Cina and learned Chinese medicine and Tuina massage, in Thailand to learn Thai massage and foot reflexology, in Northern India Tibetan massage, I went deep inside the Amazon forest to learn about the different plants and oils that grow there. From 2007 to 2014 I was the owner of a SPA in Milan. Since 2015 I started working in Ibiza offering sessions at home and forming my team of therapists, beauticians, yoga and meditation teachers. In 2019 I attended a course of Applied Kinesiology and Nutrition in Italy. I love helping people to solve various health problems by teaching the healty lifestyle. Since 2018 I have been doing the same therapy service at home in during the winter in Tulum. Holistic massage is a restorative massage that takes into account the whole person. We use the combination of techniques derived from various cultures and healing systems, following energy channels in your body and triggering points, working with the flow of your energies to release the muscles pain and tension. Have you ever thought that muscles, organs and systems communicate with each other? That’s is the principe of how the Applied Kinesiology works, an holistic therapy aimed to the well-being of the person. Absolutely day and night! I love nature and spiritual practices while meeting wonderful people and enjoying the nightlife.
Durante mucho tiempo he estudiado técnicas de nutrición y bienestar. Viajé mucho y he estado muy cerca de diferentes terapias holísticas. Fui a Cina y aprendí medicina china y masaje Tuina, en Tailandia para aprender masaje tailandés y reflexología podal, el masaje tibetano en el norte de la India, me adentré en la selva amazónica para conocer las diferentes plantas y aceites que crecen allí. De 2007 a 2014 fui propietaria de un SPA en Milán. Desde 2015 comencé a trabajar en Ibiza ofreciendo sesiones a domicilio y formando mi equipo de terapeutas, esteticistas, profesoras de yoga y meditación. En 2019 asistí a un curso de Kinesiología Aplicada y Nutrición en Italia. Me encanta ayudar a las personas a resolver varios problemas de salud enseñándoles el estilo de vida saludable. Desde 2018 he estado haciendo el mismo servicio de terapia a domicilio durante el invierno en Tulum. El masaje holístico es un masaje reparador que tiene en cuenta a toda la persona. Utilizamos la combinación de técnicas derivadas de diversas culturas y sistemas de curación, siguiendo los canales de energía de su cuerpo y los puntos de activación, trabajando con el flujo de sus energías para liberar el dolor y la tensión muscular. ¿Has pensado alguna vez que los músculos, los órganos y todo los sistemas se comunican entre sí? Ese es el principio de funcionamiento de la Kinesiología Aplicada, una terapia holística dirigida al bienestar de la persona. ¡Absolutamente de día y de noche! In Tulum,with its Temazcal and the spiritual vibe all around I’ve recently encountered this beautiful place located between town and the beach called Bufus Alvarius. They immediately invited me to try on their ceremony. The garden, the pool and the Indian Tepee where the ceremony is held makes it into a very relaxed area. Dr Alvarius recommends fasting and so we sat down on our empty stomach, there is music in the background and we all start repeating a prayer. The medicine is inhaled through a glass pipe in individual turns. Its my turn..I repeat the beautiful chanting and I hit the pipe. 36

I came here to help my aunt, my mother’s sister. I am from Verona Italy. I have studied administration to work in a bank, but after finishing my studies I wanted to have an experience abroad and I went to Australia for two years, I liked it but I did not marry with its culture and I had to return to Verona. I worked there for eight months in an office but I wanted to escape, so I took advantage of the fact that my aunt had opened Dos Ceibas in Tulum for a few years and I came to work for her. From this moment I fell in love with my work and it did not take long for my Aunt to make me Director of the hotel and here I am today talking about our story. My aunt bought the land in 1994. She had a lot of vision and she came here when there was nothing. In 1996 she has built a small hotel. Her house, with a kitchen and only 3 rooms, that’s how it was for the first 4 years and then they have started adding more rooms. Now we have 15. A hotel with 15 cabins style rooms. A restaurant and pizzeria with a wood oven and ocean views. It is a place to relax and heal completely in contact with mother nature. It is above all an authentic Tulum place where the Mexican warmth and the Caribbean experience merge to create a family atmosphere, Eco Sustainable, Casual but Elegant. We also have the possibility of doing many activities.

Desde este momento me enamoré de mi trabajo y no tardó mucho para que mi Tia me hice Director de el hotel y aqui estoy hoy hablando de nuestra historia. Mi tia compro la tierra en el 1994. Ella tuve mucha visión y vino aquí cuando no había nada. En el 1996 ha construido un pequeño hotel. Su casa, con una cocina por solo 3 habitaciones, así fueron los primeros 4 años y después han epezado añadiendo mas habitaciones. Ahora tenemos 15. Un hotel con 15 habitaciones estilo Cabañas. Un restaurante y pizzeria con horno de leña y vista al mar. Es un lugar donde relajarse y sanarse completamente en contacto con la naturaleza. Es sobre todo un lugar auténtico de Tulum donde el calor Mexicano y la experiencia Caribeña se funden para crear un ambiente familiar, Eco Sostenible, Casual pero Elegante.Tambien tenemos la posibilidad de hacer muchas actividades.

PAAX IN HÁ significa en lengua maya “Música en mi agua”, siendo el “agua” la metáfora del territorio en el que se desarrolla el proyecto, el cual alberga el acuífero subterráneo más grande del mundo, territorio único en el globo y que amerita un cuidado y atención especial. Con esto, situamos la educación medioambiental como tema transversal a todas las áreas, de forma paralela a la música y al acompañamiento psicosocial que se brindará a todos los participantes del proyecto para garantizar su pleno desarrollo.
The organisation is focused on strengthening the cultural identity of the Mayan population and the prevention of violence in Quintana Roo (Mexico), through musical and artistic education along with psychosocial support and environmental education as a transversal axis. We also promote the investigation of Mayan intangible heritage with children and young people, and the creation of exchange spaces with other cultures, promoting decentralization and participation in the cultural matter of the region.
Organización enfocada en fortalecer la identidad cultural de la población maya y la prevención de la violencia en Quintana Roo (México), a través de la educación musical y artística junto al acompañamiento psicosocial y la educación medioambiental como eje transversal. Fomentamos además la investigación del patrimonio inmaterial maya con los niñ@s y jóvenes, y la creación de espacios de intercambio con otras culturas, potenciando la descentralización y la participación en la situación cultural de la región.

It is the first project together, but we had already collaborated before for a few years. We are a good tandem. Giuli puts the creative essence and I take care of the administrative one.
Neither of us, we are not dissatisfied with our life and independence has always been clear to us.
It seems very similar to the look of the young people in Ibiza in the seventies / eighties. I like it, it is fanciful and light.
Because of how everything is selected, there are no two Rosetas or two Giulis. We introduce some master pieces made on a loom with Carranza’s thread. They are unique pieces with a very thin thread that is also used by Hermès, which has its artisans in Carranza, to give you an idea, to make a blouse they need 20 days of work on the loom. Everything that comes to the store allows me meet a talent from some part of Mexico that I did not know before, it is like learning from an history book.
It is an installation by the Mexican artist Alejandro Durán, the exhibition of works of art is in the concept of the store and art must always have a message, in this case it is a message of environmental protection.
Es el primer proyecto juntas, pero ya habíamos colaborado antes durante algunos años. Somos un buen tándem. Giuli pone la escencia creativa y yo la administrativa.
Ninguna de las dos, no estamos insatisfechas de nuestra vida y la independencia la hemos tenido clara desde siempre.
Me parece muy similar al look de los jóvenes en Ibiza en los años setenta/ ochenta. Me gusta, es fantasioso y ligero. Porque cómo está todo seleccionado, no existen dos Rosetas o dos Giulis. Introducimos algunas piezas maestras hechas en telar con el hilo de Carranza. Son piezas únicas con un hilo muy delgado que es utilizado también para Hermès que tiene sus artesanas en Carranza, para darte una idea, para hacer una blusa necesitan 20 días de trabajo en el telar. Todo lo que llega a la tienda me hace conocer un talento de alguna parte de Mexico que no conocía antes, es como aprender de un libro de historia.
Es una instalación del artista mexicano Alejandro Durán, la exposición de las obras de arte están en el concepto de la tienda y siempre el arte debe tener un mensaje, en este caso es un mensaje de protección al ambiente.

own lines like my last project: “La Vie Bohemienne”. I designed unisex kimono and kaftans for the most part. The inspiring idea was to give a couple the possibility to share some items of the wardrobe. Currently my creativity is inspired by a fusion of work experiences and my lifestyle. I travel a lot, especially in Asia where part of my great inspiration is coming from, as well as Mexico and Morocco where I produce most of my collections. Tulum is one of my favorite showcases along with Mykonos, Bali, Miami and my Ibiza. This year I started an exclusive collaboration with the AKNA store (formerly Tuluminati) here in Tulum, after a wonderful experience last year with Zak Ik by Azulik.

For our next campaign we have chosen to play on contrasts, what better location as scenery and colors could it be than “L Havana” Cuba. The beauty and the decadence of such an historical designed place , as well as its colors and light at various times of the day, inspired our choices of combinations. The help of the great fashion photographer Roberto D Este @ robertodestephoto who has lived in Cuba for years has facilitated everything. The casting of the models was surprising and unique in the subject, we thank the agency @vfashion_international_models and his director Victor. Our intentions in the near future is to open a store in downtown Havana that will be the perfect combination of Architecture, Fashion and Design. I heard about the wonders and uniqueness of Tulum for about twenty years, of the inherent spirituality derived from the Mayan culture mixed with the charm of its Caribbean beaches and finally in 2014 I was lucky enough to get to know thanks to the twinning created with my Ibiza...

Para nuestra próxima campaña hemos optado por jugar con los contrastes y qué mejor ubicación como escenario y colores que “L Habana” Cuba. La belleza y la decadencia de un lugar de diseño tan histórico, así como sus colores y luz en varios momentos del día, inspiraron nuestras elecciones de combinaciones. La ayuda del gran fotógrafo de moda Roberto D’Este @ robertodestephoto que vive desde hace años en Cuba ha facilitado el todo. El casting de las modelos fue sorprendente y único en el tema, agradecemos a la agencia @vfashion_international_models y a su director Victor. My job!! Creating and working on my Sustainable brand Ajna Tulum. It all started on my first trip to Chiapas- Mexico. When I arrived I was amazed by the diversity of cultures and the abundance that surrounded me! I was able to visit many communities around the region, and in that moment I realized that I could support these artisans and communities in a way that was not being done before. I asked myself: how can I work with them and create a brand mixing their elements and other cultures elements to create beautiful pieces? how to work with them developing a contemporary point of view, not only into fashion but also into interior design? How to support them, how to share their message and grow together.
¡¡Mi trabajo!! Creando y trabajando en mi marca Ajna Tulum. Todo comenzó en mi primer viaje a Chiapas, México. ¡Cuando llegué me asombró la diversidad de culturas y la abundancia que me rodeaba! Pude visitar muchas comunidades de la región y en ese momento me di cuenta de que podía apoyar a estos artesanos y comunidades de una manera que no se había hecho antes. How and where is Verdura Shoes started ?
The adventure started in Australia, Byron Bay, year 1997. I’ve found myself barefoot, I saw an old abandoned tire and I’ve intuitivily started to make my first pair of sandals, completely self-taught. Friends and local people were super impressed by those strange creations, and they began to commissioning their pairs. Thanks to “Prima” my voyage into the world of shoemaking and the recycling of old materials begun. Another big meeting was the one with the fishing net: a chance on a sunny day, on the deserted beach. This is where the first model made with fishing nets comes from. And here we are with the Verdura Shoes, an eco-friendly, sustainable and completely handmade collection, produced with 100% natural materials. 62

La aventura empezó en Australia, Byron Bay, en el año 1997. Me encontré descalzo, vi un neumático viejo abandonado e intuitivamente empecé a hacer mi primer par de sandalias, completamente autodidacta. Los amigos y la gente local quedaron súper impresionados con esas extrañas creaciones y comenzaron a encargar a sus parejas. Gracias a “Prima” comenzó mi viaje por el mundo de la zapatería y el reciclaje de materiales non utilizado . Otro gran encuentro fue el de la red de pesca: una oportunidad en un día soleado, en la playa desierta. De aquí proviene el primer modelo realizado con redes de pesca. Y aquí estamos con los Zapatos Verdura, una colección ecológica, sostenible y completamente artesanal, producida con materiales 100% naturales.

Life is my costant inspiration. The people I see, the places I visit, the situations I live everyday. And of course the music that is my costant travelling even when I’m stucked working in my lab. I love to look at the Aboriginal , African and Trinal world, as they’re very connected to mother nature and finding practical solutions in a very respectful and creative way. And then, of course, I have a very vivid imagination…
Mine it’s a sort of mission: to share good practices and to respect the environment throught my creations. Everything comes from the recycling and upcycling of old/unused materials. My goal is to create revolutionary shoes which contribute to a cleaner environment: I fight for seas, oceans and beaches cleared from waste, toxins, broken glass and abandoned fishing nets. I do so by recovering these materials and adopting a production line with less impact for the environment. I love the planet and the sea as well as I love beauty and aesthetics, which I seek in every single creation. Style, sustainability, research and handicraft,these are my inspiring principles that drive me forward to constantly improve my work. My awareness work continues with the collaboration of international non-profit organization like Sea Shepherd Conservation Society and Oceanic Global, supporting their events by providing our products for charity auctions and our experience. Net-working is essential with these initiatives, both to recover materials and help spreading the word.
La vida es mi inspiración constante. La gente que veo, los lugares que visito, las situaciones que vivo todos los días. Mi objetivo es crear zapatos revolucionarios que contribuyan a un medio ambiente más limpio: lucho por mares, océanos y playas limpias de desechos, toxinas, vidrios rotos y redes de pesca abandonadas. Lo hago recuperando estos materiales y adoptando una línea de producción con menor impacto para el medio ambiente. Amo el planeta y el mar, así como amo la belleza y la estética, que busco en cada creación. Estilo, sostenibilidad, investigación y artesanía, estos son mis principios inspiradores que me impulsan a mejorar constantemente mi trabajo. Mi trabajo de sensibilización continúa con la colaboración de organizaciones internacionales sin fines de lucro como Sea Shepherd Conservation Society y Oceanic Global, apoyando sus eventos proporcionando nuestros productos para subastas benéfica.El trabajo en red es fundamental en estas iniciativas, tanto para recuperar materiales como para ayudar a difundir el mensaje.
