I usually love the Fall Season … football, world series, the start of the hockey season, Halloween and lower temperatures HOWEVER this year September & October sucked bad!
It all started on September 26th with Hurricane Helene. This storm did soooooooo much damage to our area with flooding & wind it was crazy. High tides, storm surge and water damage crushed our beaches with numerous businesses and homes ruined. The headaches continued into October (as we were still trying to clean up from Helene) when Hurricane Milton visited Tampa Bay. Milton was a different kind of storm as it had more winds and rain and not as much storm surge. However it drenched the area with up to 15” of rain and tons of wind damage.
6th -10th, 2024 … same clubs, same days but different month. We were able to save 90% of our stars and actually added a few! As they say … The Show Must Go On!
Needless-to-say, we were forced to postpone our Awards Show and it will now happen November
On a sad note, NightMoves lost one of our family members as Chris Blue lost his battle with cancer and passed away on October 19th. Chris worked for us for over ten years, left to go to work for Houston NightMoves, then the Bunny Ranch in Nevada. He returned to
Tampa Bay and worked as a DJ/Manager in a few clubs as well as a sales rep for Desire Magazine. For the past three years he was back with us at NightMoves … he will be greatly missed (please see the article inside this issue). There will be a “Celebration of Life Party” at Thee Doll House on Saturday November 2 at 10pm for Chris. I want to sincerely thank everybody for your support. The adult entertainment business is a close community and the past two years have been difficult as we have lost two NightMoves family members in Andrew Rock Serra and now Chris Blue. The support from club owners, managers, entertainers, DJs, bartenders and customers has been amazing … thank you!

I really hate writing these types of articles. I have put together way too many the past two years. NightMoves lost a beloved member of our family last month as Chris Blue (aka: Peter Donna) lost his battle with cancer and passed away.
Chris worked for us for over ten years, left to go to work for Houston NightMoves, then the Bunny Ranch in Nevada. He returned to Tampa Bay and worked as a DJ/Manager in a few area clubs as well as a sales rep for Desire Magazine. For the past three years he was back with us at NightMoves … he will be greatly missed.
Chris did a lot in his 62 years … he shot numerous adult movies, worked as a magazine sales rep
and writer, spent time working at The Bunny Ranch in Nevada, loved music, played drums and was a “Beatles Freak”. His favorite Beatle was Ringo and I was fortunate enough to accompany Chris to two different Ringo Starr concerts.
He was also a movie buff and it was amazing how many quotes he could give you from various movies … word for word!
There will be a “Celebration of Life Party” at Thee Doll House on Saturday November 2 at 10pm for Chris. We will try and raise a few dollars for his fiancé Keiausha and people will have the chance to say a few words about Chris.
RIP buddy … we are going to miss you!
SPORTS REPORT
TAMPA BAY BUCCANEERS
There is only one way to sum up the Tampa Bay Bucs month of October … ouch! The Bucs had a disastrous Monday Night football game on October 21 when they lost to the Baltimore Ravens 31-21. Losing the game was bad but the worse thing were the injuries to wide receivers Mike Evans and Chris Godwin.
South Division but we will see if they have the depth at the wide receiver position to stay in the race. A big game against the Atlanta Falcons is happening as we go to press with this issue and I hope the Bucs find a way to replace Evans & Godwin. We can only hope the running game and defense steps up! The team has a difficult schedule coming up as they play the Super Bowl champion Kansas City Chiefs in KC on 11/4 … the NFC Champions San Francisco 49ers at home on 11/10 … have a much needed bye week 11/17 … then travel to New York to play the Giants on 11/24 … and go to Carolina to play the Panthers on 12/1. Hopefully the Bucs will be in better shape after the bye week and maybe even beat the 49ers at Ray Jay!
TAMPA BAY RAYS
Hurricane Milton did a job on Tropicana Field and the Ray are going to have a problem figuring out where to play next season. The Trop lost its roof and the team will need to find a new home. The building is scheduled to be replaced in 2027 but that is a few years away.
The Rays can’t play in the Trop without a roof as there is no drainage system in place. My suggestion is replace the damn thing! The roof has been there since the Trop was built and it should be able to be replaced and used for the next 2-3 years. Spend the money and fix the stadium.
Other options that have been suggested include playing at Yankee Stadium in Tampa (that’s’ a venue the Rays could actually sell out) … playing in Orlando at Disney World … playing games in Miami or playing out of state (no, no, no)!
It will be interesting to see what the team does!
TAMPA BAY LIGHTNING
The NHL season is upon us and the Bolts started the season with a 2-2 record. They won their first two games and lost the next two. I will admit, I need a program to tell “who’s who” as the team has a LOT of new names on the back of team sweaters!
The team is still built around familiar names like Kucherov, Point, Hedman, Cirelli, Hagel, Paul and Vasilevskiy. New players include: Jake Guentzel, Conor Geekie, Zemgus Girkensons and others. Let’s hope they jell as a team, make the playoffs and try for another Stanley Cup.
The team plays home games this month at Amalie Arena on 11/7 against the Philadelphia Flyers, 11/14 against the Winnipeg Jets, 11/16 against the New Jersey Devils, 11/23 against the Dallas Stars, 11/25 against the Colorado Avalanche, 11/27 against the Washington Capitals and 11/30 against the Toronto Maple Leafs … plenty of chances to see the Bolts live!

Thanks to Hurricanes Helene & Milton, the 32nd Annual NightMoves awards have been rescheduled to November 6-10, 2024. Luckily, we didn’t lose many stars, our hotel reservations, airplane flights and van rentals have all been rescheduled and we are ready to go!
All tickets that were handed out last month will still be good for the November dates!

I would probably say there is a campground when I was very young and I was banging my boyfriend in the showers at this campground and the only reason I say it’s crazy is because we had to like plan that shit out like we had to be so sneaky and I will never forget like my heart racing when I was doing that with him, so I’ll go with that one.
