SCCS integrates the advantages of elementary education with essence of global education and strives to establish international education by creating a network of four-dimensional international curriculum composed of basic courses, Chinese artistic and athletic courses, outdoor practicum, as well as bilingual courses. The new structure of our cross-culture education has been created. Our core value is to cultivate global citizens. We introduce classical Chinese literature, focusing on both recitation of classical literary works and national standard curriculum. We combine the recitation of Chinese classical works with recitation of English classical works. Humanistic and natural courses are of equal importance. We apply the classical essence into our life. We establish four bases: agricultural practice base, scientific base, patriotic base, and studying abroad base, giving them all-round exercise and cultivation. We stick to small class of international pattern: The maximum capacity for each class is 25. We make teaching plans according to students’ levels instead of following traditional teaching pattern. We alter the way of evaluating students and change the textbooks. We carry out characteristic education management by creating dynamic class which is open, initiative, cooperative, and enable students to demonstrate and report. By adopting American-styled teaching pattern, we stick to student-centered, open and interactive classes which attract students’ interests. Students will actively participate in class. At the beginning of every semester year, every student will be given a package of their own files. The files record students’ semester goals and their growing path. Every student can set up their benchmarks with the help of the files which collect dots and footprints of their growth.
