Project context "Turning Mirrors into Windows" is a 7day training course in Bulgaria which aims is to create an atmosphere for the youth workers to inspire each other, share knowledge and experience, discover and discuss the possibilities on how to be the multiplier of their competences on how to change themselves and motivate young people to be active changemakers and make an impact on their society. More precisely, the objectives of the TC are: discover the diverse aspects of youth participation, reflecting about roles, responsibilities, challenges and needs, to understand different types of active citizenship for youth and the role of each individual as a potential changemaker and active part of society; to develop practical skills to be more inclusive and attentive in groupwork, decision making processes and in everydaylife as active, conscious citizens; to create a learning space for debating; to gain practical competences in intercultural dialogue, networking both in an international and national level, as well as in communication, campaigning, and in critical thinking; sharing best practice and tools for supporting active citizenship and youth participation, to create an active and exchanging platform for creating projects with potent impact and results in their communities and to be an active citizen in everydaylife situations; to discuss and improve cognition in the field of nonformal education, and by that achieve skills on how to multiply notions of youth participation in future projects to realize the opportunities of Erasmus+; To identify effective and creative methods to engage young people to be active in their lives and communities; The methodology is based on the nonformal education, we try to endure the creative process through widespectrum of tools and activities; the participants will be able to not only learn through experience and reflect on their own interactions but also will be encouraged to create ideas on how to become actively engaged in their society, share their experiences and to create new project ideas with other participants to build a strong network of young Europeans. Furthermore, participants will get the chance to present their ideas and give each other feedback on their project proposals which will be implemented later on in their local communities.

Venue The project will be hosted in the town of Razlog, a ski resort in Blagoevgrad Province in southwestern Bulgaria. Razlog is a town with rich cultural traditions and customs kept through the centuries and still having the spirit of the original Bulgarian values. The hosting organization will cover accommodation, meals for breakfast, lunch and dinner, plus, coffee breaks. Your arrival point will be Sofia airport/ Central bus station Sofia and from there we will manage to provide you with transportation to venue or you will receive a detailed info pack how to get from the airport to the project venue.

The sending organisation or participants will buy flights tickets for participants. All prices need to be accepted by the coordinator before any purchase is made, a screenshot from the website can be sent to us in advance and we will approve or decline within 48 hours, all attempts will be made to answer these emails as soon as possible. Tickets purchased without prior consent could result in no reimbursement for travel costs. All boarding passes and invoices must be kept and submitted after the project in original format and must also be emailed to the responsible officer of the host organisation before the project. Travel costs which exceed the limit will be the responsibility of the participants or the sending organisations. Please note that all the participants are required to have the travel insurance, but costs are the responsibility of the participant and/or sending organisation.

Homework The participants will have the predeparture tasks that will be presented during the training course. The tasks need to be prepared jointly in the country groups: 1. How budget is created in your local municipality? 2. How does the municipality run the need analysis before planning the budget? 3. What is the amount of finances allocated for youth? 4. What are the budget programs and subprograms for youth mainly focused? 5. What are the keypoints of the youth policy of the local municipality? Note that, in some municipalities information is provided in 12 weeks. Be aware, that the research needs to be started at least 3 weeks before the departure from your country. Intercultural evening will be held during the project, so, please, don't forget to bring some traditional drinks and snacks from your country. Please, do forget about the powerpoint presentation, we will come up with better methods to present your country.

Note that... 1. Note that the participants are required to have 100% participation during the projects and failure to do so will result in no reimbursement of travel costs. In the event that a participant is not feeling well or needs to miss a session, for any reason, this needs to be communicated to the responsible coordinator of the project either by the participant or by the leader. 2. Note that the participants are required to complete preparation tasks which are stated in this informational pack and bring these to the project with them. 3. Note that, participants are also required to complete surveys sent by the National Agency and/or European Commission, this is part of the project and all participants need to complete these surveys. Failure to do so means failure to participate which could result in no reimbursement or blacklisting of the sending organisation. 4. Note that the participants are required to participate in the dissemination part of the activities after the project activity and all the activities needs to be reported to the coordinators. Failure to do so may result in no reimbursement or blacklisting the sending organization. 5. Note that the activity dates are 14.04.2016 21.04.2016 the participants will be leaving the venue on 21.04.2016

Participant Profile We will pick the participants according to the following criteria: Participants of the TC have to be wellrounded youth workers who have experience in international and/or local projects, intercultural dimension; have a will to develop their own international projects and build network. Will to take active part of the programme and support the idea of creating a network for individuals as messengers. Have a commitment to participate in preparatory activities before the project and dissemination activities after the project; As the whole project will be carried out in English we require fluent skills in that language.
