The Constitution On this exhibition, constitutional experts with the help of teacher educate student about the Constitution’s history and what it means today. The following central message should be conveyed to students: The Constitution of the Republic of India is the foundation of our Government. It is often called the supreme law of the land; no law may be passed that contradicts its principles. At the same time, it is flexible and allows for changes in the Government. The Constitution is known as a “living” document because it can be amended, although since 1950 there have only been 101 amendments, the latest being the GST bill.

If men were angel no government would be necessary, if angel were to govern men no controls on government would be necessary. In framing a government which is to be administered by men over men, one must enable the government to control the governed and then apply it to control itself. With that said it is so important for all of us citizens to understand our government & how democracy works. The Constitution of India is the heart of our democracy. Every page of it was hand written & decorated using a quill feather pen.
