The studio is about understanding and applying lessons from the architecture of Mandu to create a design that responds to the current context and program. A small-scale residential architectural institute at banks of Rewa Kund, Mandu with a powerful context of the landscape and roopmati pavilion in the foreground. The idea is to occupy minimum footprint on the ground while giving multilevel experiences in relationship to the program.
Idea of baodi intepreted as home and place for rest, while the semi open pavilions are conceptualized as place to interact and for leisure
