New Website!

The first Westfield Key Club official website has been created by Officers Amanda Szaro and Julia Burk! Visit http://westfieldhighschoo8.wix.com/keyclub to stay updated on everything related to the Key Club!

March of Dimes March of Dimes was a success! Our efforts produced $129. Next year, we should look to improve upon this amount to raise even more money for a great cause.

Next Kiwanis Meeting for Parents

Invite your parents and neighbors to the next Kiwanis Club dinner meeting to learn about the significance of a philanthropic club at Sniffy’s Restaurant in Scotch Plains on Thursday, June 9

th

at 6:30 p.m.! If your parents have questions they can contact

Susan Dougherty by email at crusadersue@hotmail.com

Fall Rally Fall Rally is at Six Flags (Jackson) on Sunday, October 9th, 2016. We get into Fright Fest later that night too. Early registration (due will September 23rd, 2016) is $38, regular registration (due on the day of the event) is $43, and with a season pass, $7. This is a fantastic opportunity to meet other Key Clubbers from New Jersey, learn about service projects, and of course, ride roller coasters.

ICON 2017 Would you be interested in meeting Key Clubbers from everywhere imaginable? If so, the next ICON will be in San Antonio, Texas in the spring of 2017. If you are considering this trip, then please contact one of the officers to communicate with the rest of the officers and the Kiwanis Club to prepare for fundraising.

District Project 2016-2017 Just like New Year’s Eve resolutions, a new Key Club Year means new goals. Our District Project for 2016-2017 is the New Jersey Federation of Foodbanks! There are 5 food banks and 6 locations (the nearest to Westfield is Hillside). We will be setting the bar high at $90,077.85 to provide food to those who do not have the necessity, so unlike those unrealistic New Year’s resolutions, we need to tackle this immediately to ensure success.

Upcoming Service Projects/Fundraisers YOUR opinion on what to do for the rest of the year matters! Which ideas sound the most appealing? A carnival? A Popsicle sale? A sports tournament? Do you have any other ideas?
