The production process for this magical garland is simple. // First, create all the decorative elements that you would like to include. Spray paint your miniature balls in your chosen colour (we have used mid-pink). Cut a blank CD into small triangles. Create small squares of clay, remembering to piece a hole in each to thread through. // Attach your 4 metal shelf brackets with superglue. // Hang all your decorations from the brackets with varied length coloured string.
8
IDEA FRAMES // The selection of frames used within this project are very much subject to personal choice. We have used 2 matching sets of 3 frames, half of which we chose to paint. // Remove all glass and back board from your frames. // Paint any frames as you so wish. // Super glue 2 gold hooks to the back of the frame and, once dry, tie the colourful string. This creates a space to hang your inspirational imagery with the miniature pegs attached. YOU WILL NEED // 6 X SMALL FRAMES 3 X PAINT POTS 1 x SUPERGLUE
IN YOUR BOX //
18 X MINI PEGS 24 X GOLD HOOKS 1 X BALL OF STRING
9
A framework to project and visually display your imagebased thought practice. This simple 6 frame collective will enhance any ideation process, displaying key inspiration, held in place by mini pegs onto decorative string.

CHALKBOARD //
A crafty, handmade and rustic chalkboard for your scribbles and doodles. Perfect for that small reminder, inspirational quote or message from a loved one, this bright chalkboard will turn a wall into a feature.
11
The colour of your chalkboard is very much down to your choice, however we have used Dulux Matt Coral Flair for Feature Wall for a bright, fresh finish. // First, you need to make your chalkboard paint. Simply mix white tile grout with the emulsion, until you have a thick paint consistency. // Separate your empty frame. // Paint the backboard of the empty frame with the chalkboard paint. // Rebuild your frame and begin noting.
YOU WILL NEED // 1 X EMPTY FRAME 1 X PAINT POT
IN YOUR BOX//
1 X WHITE TILE GROUT
12
TIME FOR TEA // This selection of fine ceramic crockery is the perfect surface for a personal hand drawn sketch. Add any pattern you so wish to a selection of crockery and use this as desk storage. The teapot can be used to store pens or paintbrushes. A little teacup functions as a complimentary water pot to your crockery collection.
YOU WILL NEED // 1 X CROCKERY SET 1 X BLACK SHARPIE
IN YOUR BOX // 1 X GOLD MARKER
13
The creation process of this project is extremely simple, and universal throughout each varying crockery style. Simply take a Sharpie permanent marker (of a colour of your choice) and doodle. Draw upon the crockery with whatever pattern or design you so wish. // Oven bake your piece for 30 minutes, turning your design into a permanent feature.
14
DESK LAMP//
The patterns, designs and colours used to decorate this lamp base are entirely up to personal choice. We have chosen to use an orange emulsion to create a pumpkin-like design on the bottom half of the base. // Sketch, with pencil, any templates or guidelines you want to use. // Paint on your chosen pattern or design. // Leave to dry for 1hr.
15
Take a simple ceramic-based desk lamp and give it a splash of colour. Brighten the base with emulsion, to compliment your studio walls, truly lightening up your workspace.
YOU WILL NEED // 1 X LAMPSHADE 1 X LAMP BASE 1 X LIGHTBULB
IN YOUR BOX // 1 X PAINT POT
16
STRING LIGHTS // Refresh those Christmas tree fairy lights with a splash of colour. Adding custom colour cup covers over each bulb, these crafty and rustic string lights will add character to your wall space.
Begin by selected your paper cup shape and the colours you want to use. // Paint your 20 paper cups the chosen colour(s). // Once dry, up turn your cups. One by one, create an X cutting into the base. // Poke your string lights through the X cuts, creating a line of the cup light covers. // Plug them in and lighten up that studio wall.
17
YOU WILL NEED //
1 X STRING LIGHTS (20BULB) 20 X PAPER CUPS
IN YOUR BOX //
1 X PAINT POTS (NEED 2 MORE)
18
PLANT POT STORAGE // Quirky, botanical and fresh. These indoor plant pots are customisable to indoor function, holding your pens, pencils, paints and much more. Using bright matte emulsion with a golden leaf embellish, these ornamental pots are both functional and decorative. YOU WILL NEED // 2 X PLANT POTS 1 X MASKING TAPE 1 X GOLD MARKER
IN YOUR BOX//
1 X PAINT POT (NEED 1 MORE)
19
The initial painting process of these plant pots will take a few hours, requiring 3 or 4 layers to ensure maximum matte block colour. Select two different and complimentary colours, and paint the exterior of each pot with them. // Paint the water trays the same colour. Once dry, use a gold marker to highlight the rim of the water trays. // Once the pots are dry, use masking tape to mark out your design stencil. // Spray paint the chosen design gold, peeling away the tape when complete. // Tidy the inside of the pots with either emulsion or gold spray.

“This studio space is the result of three years working at home. A collation of materials fill the majority of the under desk storage. The wall is my feature. It’s become an installation in it’s own right. I find myself photographing it daily, moving things around and adjusting the clutter on the shelves. Every peice within this wall space has a story, a meaning and a purpose. Past work and photographs of loved ones feature - as well as visual stimuli to keep the creative mind ticking.”
DEMI ACKROYD @DEMACKROYD
“I like to pile my desk with a sort of careful clutter; only the minimum I need to work alongside a lot of things to keep my brain ticking. Having a sketchbook in front of me allows me to never quite turn off and fills those pesky little mental blocks. The picture books I keep on my desk are those that got me into illustration, which are just fantastic and I flick through them all the time, as something of a target for me to reach.”
// When I start a new project I will clear my wall space, enabling me to clear mind to fully throw myself in to a creative challenge. I decorate my work space as I go, pinning inspirational material to the wall to keep my mind focused.
HAYLEY LLOYD @HAYLEYJUNE_
/ / I like my workspace to be jam-packed with organised clutter. A space that an outsider would be “wow-ed” and intrigued by. I love to be inspired by visual stimulus, using a wall space to actually map and project my thought process.
NATALIE GOLDSMITH @NKGOLDSMITH
/ / I keep my work space very clean and minimal. I feel that the usual mismatch clutter that some designers and artists surround themselves with is too busy, and personally ‘clutters’ my mind. A blank canvas is where we all start.
CLAIRE SAGE @CLAIREYSAGE21
// My workspace is filled with decorative delights - ranging from vintage wall prints to gorgeously girly fairy lights and bunting. I like to inspire myself daily, surrounding myself with the most beautiful things I find along my creative path.
