NNC MAGAZINE DECEMBER 2020

A new issue that presents Collective 19, already present on our site. These artists were selected in 2019. While we wait for the names of the new collective, we remind you who are the artists who accompany us on our journey to discover art in the world. We also present the interview with one of our artists from the previous collective. With this magazine, we want to raise awareness of the artists’ point of view, who inspires them, how they experience art in their country and their projects. We are preparing many new initiatives. This is a great artistic operation, and we want to thank everyone who is participating!

The ordinary true, or purely real, cannot be the object of the arts. Illusion on a ground of truth - that is the secret of the fine arts. Joseph Joubert

Magazine Statement

Every month we look for artists,FOR OUR MAGAZINE, for our future collectives, to make them known in the world.Every month since 2017 we have dedicated our space to the artists of the various collectives we have created, and we continue to publish them on the web and through our channels.First of all, we are a visual magazine, but we want artists to feel like they are in an art catalog.Words are necessary, but we make limited use of them, we prefer works of art that have a lot to say.Our dream is to create a movement and a non-heterogeneous group of artists who tell the world of art in the 2000s, not necessarily linked to the world of commerce. We don’t sell works of art but we show them and... if you don’t show your art you WILL NOT SELL IT!Every month we look for artists,FOR OUR MAGAZINE, for our future collectives, to make them known in the world. editor’s ...

The search for artists in the world of the web brings me knowledge of the artistic soul of the world. Thanks to the Web I can meet artists from almost the entire world. It is very difficult to understand the truth of the accounts, to be able to really feel the soul of the artists you need intuition, you need true love for art. But then do we need the truth in art? Respect for all forms of human expression led me to want this project. A project that is also my big bet: Photographing unknown corners of the art universe, illuminating the research of some artists who produce art in the infinite ocean of the web. We ask ourselves today what art is, as we have always wondered what art has been for humans. I leave the answers to you and continue my journey to Ithaca...

Jesús Contreras (Also known as The Boltzmann Fly) was born on September 21st, 1995. He became interested in drawing at an early age. In 2013, Jesús finished the bachellor of arts and began his Fine Arts studies in c o l l e g e . One year later, he began his carreer as a selftaught digital artist, and in 2018 he finished his Fine Arts carreer at C o m p l u t e n s e University of Madrid. In recent years, experimentation led him to develop a more abstract, grotesque and extravagant art. The Boltzmann Fly was born in 2017 as a reflect of his most surreal side. Contreras’ works want to impact through imposible c o m p o s i t i o n s , extese color palettes and oniric creatures, using metaphores and symbols to reflect about diverse themes like depression, identity, death, perception or humanity. The artist is currently focused on digital painting and traditional ink drawing. Jesús is currently a non exclusive represented artist on NYA Gallery (New York).

Sterk is inspired by all kinds of artworks, sometimes it could be just a stroke of color or texture, or lyrics in songs and books. Her artwork is acrylic on p r o f e s s i o n a l linen on aluminium frames.

I learned the craft of jeweller in a family workshop, beginning as an apprentice at a very early age. Over time, I became independent and organized my own workshop, from which I try to deepen the relationships established between an ancient craft and a discourse of contemporary content. My last exhibition was the III Contemporary Goldsmithing & Jewelry Exhibition at Museo Nacional de Artes Decorativas, Madrid.

Ian is a fine art photographer from Northfield, MN. Through his photographic work, he attempts to present the viewer with a unique perspective of a scene by revealing the contextual elements that often are at the fringes of awareness. Each photograph in this series is a blended composite of 20 to 34 images of an object from various distances and angles, which creates a j u x t a p o s i t i o n between the stillness and passage of time and reveals the context in which the object exists. This process results in a somewhat ambiguous artistic medium at the intersection of p h o t o g r a p h y , sketching, and painting s

Inge b e The works of Inge consist out of pictorial images that are modified by applying various manual and digital techniques in front of the camera. With the distortion of photographs and found imagery, she looks up boundaries within photography and experiments with the surface of an image to create new narratives. Her artistic research examines how we display and use pictures. By removing photographs from their original context, such as family albums, picture frames or digital screens the image becomes alienated. During the process and throughout the manipulation of the image, the photograph has to pass through different stages of time. These time sections refer to how memories can slowly fade away or completely change over the years. Inge investigates how time can blur memories and create new r e a l i t i e s . Within her work there is a certain need to discover hidden meanings underneath different surfaces.

Jörg Coblenz „Jörg Coblenz is interested in exploring the interface between materiality and colour. This interest led him to use thread both to draw and embroider using a variety of canvases and backgrounds. Traditionally the focus in embroidery is on the stitching used to create images. In contrast Coblenz uses thread to create textures and tactility. He draws with thread, often taking images from photographs, magazines and advertisements which he first sketches and then transforms. He likes to play with the relationship between thread and paint and to explore the dynamic between them. His frequent use of degraded canvas or paper when combined with pigments and paint splatters serves to further enhance the tension between surface and background image to create a new reality.“ Jean Block, 2016, London /UK

noemi i s Born (1971) in Uruguay. Lives and works in Tel Aviv, Israel. I always knew that someday, painting would become my big and ultimate love and fulfillment. Close people who didn’t really know the real “me” and couldn’t acknowledge in the power of my art, took me through many different roads and difficulties, but it was all meant to prepare me through my real destiny. Round the age of 35, I can say that I discovered life again as I returned to painting and felt how my art fills people with so much joy, love and optimism. From this moment I decided that I won’t give up anymore, and that I will listen only to my heart. I now paint out of so much love. I like to walk around and take photos and make small sketches. The photos and sketches would be translated onto large canvases. My aim is that my passion and vision will touch people’s heart. I am fascinated about the way that the viewer moves into a place of speculation, revealing imagery and emotion and how the painting tells a private and intimate story to each beholder. My current style is colorful, modern, abstract with touch of pop art. I use acrylic paints on canvas. Everything that I create is a reflection of myself and my long road of knowing and learning more about myself. N o e m i ONG M

After my median design and photography studies, I worked for many years in the multidisciplinary field of art direction, film direction and photography. After that, I redesigned my life and I worked even a long time as a teacher and in teacher training. Since 2016, I am happy to be able to work only in the field of experimental artistic photography. My images are a lyrical response of the aesthetical echo of female poetry and strength, and of my personal awareness in the context of art photography. They show reality as my own interpretation and at the same time as an irritation. In this way, the imagery becomes visionary. The result is a collection of imaginative alternate realities. I create new poetic worlds that invite the viewer to come in and experience with their own ways of seeing. P e t r a r

raffaella i t I was born in Tortona 53 years ago. After graduating in Law I decided to take care of the historic family shop, where I literally grew up finding myself just below the house. La Bottega d’Arte Stringa, as my grandfather had called it back in 1924, is a place out of time when you travel through precious silver, carpets, antique prints and precious crystals. A place where you get used to the beauty practicing it every day, touching it and feeling its scent. What I love about photography is its fragility and absoluteness: it is like a flower that embellishes my days in a light and passing, yet solemn w a y . Photographing has enriched my life, making it more intense and complete. I like exploring new themes, stopping unexpected glimpses, investigating new points of view with my mind and eyes. It’s like magic to understand a small portion of reality and at the same time find a part of myself in things. It is a profound emotion, fugitive and engaging, that takes up space and consistency, and so can also be offered to other looks. This is for me to photograph, the possibility to touch and fix an instant. R a f f a e l l a

Roberta Ceudek, Italian, born in 1970, discovered her attitude for art not long time ago. After many years working in the field of media and communication, she is looking for a more immediate way to communicate emotions and feelings, making those universally sharable, through colors and light, instead of words. “Words are limits, sometimes are unable to describe the whole reality. Emotions are touchable, and painting could be the right medium. At the same time, there is a deeper level: a reality BEHIND reality. What exists is not only what you see, there’s much more.” Just like colours are framed by light, invisible light… ultraviolet light! About her Photopaintings Collections “COLORS” and “Water and light tales” the italian art critic Paolo LEVI says: “about these admirable landscapes full of a p o s t - Ap o c a ly p s e melancholy, Samuel Beckett would Say that “nothing Is more real than naught”.

Sharon Alviz is a conceptual artist that creates uninhabited compositions on repetitive surfaces. She is interested in experiencing the urban landscape, nature, color, and geometry that no one cares to see. Her perspective transforms chaos into beauty, where the human shape intervenes with an apparent lack of interest. Her world is filled with g eometry and it sustains a deep love for what it represents in the creation. Her color palette is soft, although she usually heightens one color. Her projects question behaviors and thoughts, which propel her to explore the beauty behind them, and make them into a new possibility, into a new answering stimulus. For her, geometry has its own soul into infinite space and it is there where everything is developed. Sharon Alviz ends her career as a publicist and specializes as a photographer at the “Academia Francesa de la Imagen” (French Academy of Image) in Bogotá. Her first jobs were as a photographer for History Channel, Mercedes Benz, and the Social Protection Ministry. Since 2017, she retakes her contemporary projects, where she reflects her new thought perspective, creating beauty where she could not see it before. viktoria u

I was born in Hungary in 1970. Ever since I was young,I’ve enjoyed making things and learning new skills. My mother has always been my biggest inspiration, she used to design mosaic vases and turned even the simplest things into something amazing. Her talent and dedication inspired me to pursue a creative career. I became a floral designer in my early twenties and in 1999,I moved to the United States where I started to work for large event companies in New York City and San Francisco. In 2018, I was looking for a new creative outlet and began to learn mre about digital painting through instructional videos and websites. I’m attracted to geometric shapes and patterns and also feel a strong connection to nature. My work is inspired by modern art and architecture infused with elements of natural scenes and objects. Great artists and architects I admire: László Moholy-Nagy,Béla Kádár,Dale Chihuly,Frank Lloyd Wright,Coetzee Steyn Currently, I live and work in New Jersey,USA V i k t o r i a
