Articulate to the Theory of Organic Architecture by Frank Lloyd Wright, “The building form and function are one and every building should grow naturally from its environment.” Organic architecture promotes harmony between human habitation and the natural world. This is achieved through design approaches that aim to be sympathetic and well-integrated with a site, so buildings, furnishings, and surroundings become part of a unified, interrelated composition. Organic architecture is also translated into the all-inclusive nature of design process. Materials, motifs, and basic ordering principles continue to repeat themselves throughout the building as a whole. The idea of organic architecture refers not only to the buildings literal relationship to the natural surroundings, but how the buildings design is carefully thought about as if it were a unified organism. Geometries of the building build a central mood and theme. Everything relates to one another, reflecting the symbiotic ordering systems of nature. The task of architecture is to reconstruct the integration between nature experience and architecture design process in which user could experience the sensitivity of the building and nature. The nature of the place will be carefully use and minimize the destruction of the natural environment. The building must be inspired by nature and be sustainable, healthy, conserving and diverse that could exist in the present and future which flexible, adaptable and satisfy social and spiritual needs. The building celebrates the spirit of youth, play and surprise that able to express the rhythm and power.

Surfing community have developed credible surf tourism market in Malaysia by hosted a handful of local and International Surfing Competitions to the delight of surfers worldwide. The surf season in Malaysia starts during the monsoon season because ocean provide suitable wave height potential and qualities for all range of surfers. This is the peak season for surf tourism in Malaysia. On the east coast, the surf season starts from November to February while in the west coast starts from April to October. Unfortunately, after the monsoon season ended, the wave height potential and frequency are not suitable for intermediate and professional surfers. The scenario affected the decrease of surf tourism market for the upcoming month, thus affected the local surf school business. Other than that, the local surfers have to wait for upcoming monsoon season to practice and explore new techniques and skills. The good facilities are fundamental to developing sport surfing opportunities for everyone, from the youngest beginner to the international class surfers. The buildings whether large or small can encourage civic pride and assist the process of revitalizing deprived neighborhood. Facilities that are well designed built to last and well maintained are a pleasure to use and give an ample return on the time and money invested in their construction and day today use for non-government organization and business such as Cherating Point Surfing School. Whilst, opportunities for improving the environmental, the indoor sport facilities especially in Surfing Scene has seen limited application of environmental theory. This is part of a larger work considering the place of environmental evaluation in the indoor sport facilities architecture, particularly the whole life costing approach.

Cherating, Kuantan
Master Plan, Key Plan and Location Plan (Not to Scale)
Cherating is a resort town on the east coast of Malaysia. Local beaches include Chendor Beach, a breeding site for leatherback and other sea turtles and home to the Chendor Turtle Sanctuary, Cherating Village has workshops for traditional textiles and handicrafts. Southwest of Cherating, the Charah Caves comprise 8 caves inside an unusual rock formation. Nearby, Panching Cave contains a huge reclining Buddha Statue. There is something special about Cherating but not everyone who visits here gets it or wants to. Though beautiful, the sweeping white beach bordered by coconut palms doesn’t compare to those on the island and village itself is just a half dead strip of guesthouses and shops with more monkeys, monitor lizard and cats walking around than humans. And yet many travellers end up extending their stay for days, months or even years. There is a lot to do (surfing, horse riding tour) but it’s people that draw the travellers in. the unusual resident band of hipster Malay surfers, musicians, artist and Kampung folk who shun big city life genuinely want to hang out with you over been and share in the holiday spirit with all these new friends, it’s hard to hit the lonely road again.
