WELCOME

A very warm welcome to all filmmakers and film professionals to the 29th edition of Nordisk Panorama. We are very excited to once again offer you a great Nordic film programme with some of the best docs and shorts produced over the last year. For the next six days Malmö is a melting pot of captivating films, knowledge building seminars, pitches, Q&As and networking. Over 900 professionals from all over the world, together with thousands of people in the audience, are taking this opportunity to come together to see what’s brewing in the Nordic landscape. In the ever-changing professional environment of film, we work tirelessly to bring you the best films, the newest and upcoming documentary and short film projects about to enter the world stage, as well as the developing projects that are seeking financing to become reality. As the main funding event for Nordic docu

mentaries Nordisk Panorama Forum is the meeting place for professionals and decision makers presenting pitch-sessions, meetings and networking. At Nordisk Panorama Market, we offer you seminars on current topics, presentations of works in progress and the opportunity to network with peers and develop future collaborations. This year we are excited to dedicate more space for short film by expanding the Short Film Meet Up and dedicating a Happy Hour entirely to shorts. We invite you to come see films, come share a drink, come and start a conversation and take part in a collaborative and professional meeting place where fun and work go together hand in hand. We cannot wait to meet you! NORDISK PANORAMA FILM I SKÅNE MALMÖ STAD

CONFERENCE PROGRAMME 2018 – INDUSTRY VENUE: Scandic Triangeln. Open for everyone with a accreditation. / Saturday 14.30 –15.30 / Sound in Documentary / Peter Albrechtsen

/ Sunday 13.00 –14.00 / Cosmic Top Secret – Case Study

Peter Albrechtsen’s work in The Distant Barking of Dogs speaks for itself in the field of sound in a documentary film. It worked very much like a character in itself. He will takes us through the process of how the sound was created and the vision behind it.

Do we really know each other? Based on incredible real-life events, the team behind Cosmic Top Secret have created an exciting project combining documentary with the game world. Find out how T goes about researching her parents’ spy career during the cold war. Producer, Lise Saxtrup and director, Line Traier, will make a case study into how they made the project come to life.

Speaker: Peter Albrechtsen, Lydrummet

16.00–17.00 / Telling it Short The Sporadic Film Collective consists of 18 members who are all engaged in the process of filmmaking because they want more time and space to explore the field. By testing new methods and ideas in a calm, intuitive and open atmosphere, they become braver, more secure and hope to gain a grea ter understanding of the field as a whole. The Sporadic Film Collective produces film while the idea is still fresh. They work with a small crew and short production periods. The dogmas of the collective are: One idea. One meeting. One day of filming. Speaker: Det Sporadiske Filmkollektivet
