The Welsh Government places a high priority on improving sustainability. Its One Wales agenda sets a target of reducing
CO2 emissions by 3% per annum from 2011 in areas of devolved competence. Action by both the public sector and private
business will be critical to the achievement of the Government’s climate change objectives. And a key factor in influencing
this move to a low carbon economy in Wales, as well as green growth, will be a more collaborative approach to cost and
carbon reduction.
